I’ve been killing slimes for 300 years, and now I’m finally going to meet the Grim Reaper?! She seemed like totally bad news, so I wasn’t too thrilled at the prospect…but it turns out that she’s sort of like a goddess?!
Besides that, I also went on a trip to the demon lands with Pecora (it was kinda Romantic★) and cleared a video game world created by the gods (games from another world, you say?). Plus, Halkara accepted challenge from a “phantom thief.”
Stick around till the end to find out more about Laika’s wacky battles at the Red-Dragon Academy for Girls!
If you have read this far into the series then this was a top notch volume; maybe closer to a 3.5 by regular novel standards. There were many moments that had me stop and laugh or just savor the ridiculousness of it all.
I do have to note some of my Bias and that is towards Nintan as I always love her suffering of fools, and it's to the point Azusa is feeling some deep sympathies towards her. The big ups was actually a non-character in the form of a travel logger who just happened to appear in the same place as Azusa a couple of times
The only chapter I think I felt I suffered through was the Mechanical Kaiju Walk. I don't know if it was because I was so distracted by trying to figure out the parody, or if it was just that obnoxious; they did introduce the Nara deer so that was fun.
