Dick Morris, the President of Vote.com, was President Clinton's chief strategist and advisor in the 1996 campaign. He has handled the campaigns of a large number of American politicians including Trent Lott, William Weld, Pete Wilson and a whole lot of others. He's now a commentator on the Fox News Channel and writes a weekly column in the New York Post. He has written four recent books: Behind the Oval Office, The New Prince, Vote.com and Power Plays.

THE RETURN is a book that should be read by every American who believes in this country we call our home, no matter if you are a Republican or a Democrat. Inside this book the author documents how the Left is not only trying to take over the Democratic party but to change or destroy America as well. I said "documents" because no doubt there will be those of the Left who will give this a 1 star rating without even reading it.

The book is easy to read, considering it is about politics, and rather short. I could have finished this a lot sooner but I got so angry at what the Left is doing at times that I had to put it down and walk away. It is divided into three parts. The first part explains how the Democrats cheated on the election even though many of the things they did were illegal.

Now instead of responding, "No they didn't," read this book about what happened. COVID helped to make cheating possible. To begin with, COVID was the reason Biden stayed in his basement least we seen how senile he was. COVID made it acceptable to use mail in ballots making it possible for people who moved away and the dead to vote. COVID made early voting possible so those who hadn't voted could be 'urged' to. COVID made ballot harvesting possible where party workers went door to door to collect votes. COVID made it possible for absentee ballots to be delivered to your door by young, eager, bushy-tailed Democrats, escorted by muscle, real or implied, to intimidate. This worked well in housing projects and nursing homes. COVID made it possible for 42 percent of votes to come by mail, including illegal drop boxes serviced by party members. These had an abnormally high proportion of Biden votes. In Georgia 80 percent of paper ballots are deposited in drop boxes installed by Democrats and funded by Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg. (Zuckerberg spent $419.5 million on the 2020 campaign, but none of it on advertising.) COVID made it possible for ballots to be cast after the deadline. (This is when Biden picked up the majority of his votes.) COVID made it possible for new rules that required we take on faith the eligibility and identity of voters. Even when voters showed up in person in swing states no ID required.

Thinking ahead, the Left had made a big push to win as many Secretary of State positions as possible. Those of us who remember Illinois' Paul Powell know how corrupt such a person can be. What may not be known is the political power the position has. Secretaries of State had the final say on voting irregularities in their own states. The biggest cheaters claimed there wasn't any. "Curing' was the non-incriminating term used to 'fix' ballots. If it was torn and for Trump then it was thrown out while Biden's were passed on. If it was illegible it was filled out pro-Biden. Stalin's quote became the Democratic party's motto in that it wasn't the people who voted that mattered but who counted the votes.

A third of the book is on Trump's record as president. Although Trump may have an abrasive personality as compared to some smooth talkers who talk without saying anything, he has done far more for our country than a hostile news media would have you believe. You have to look at his role of president as you would movie stars and the characters they play. You watch them do their job in the movie and you enjoy the performance, then when they go up on the stage at the Academy Awards and start talking about politics you just want to go up there and do a 'Will Smith' on them. You may not like Trump, but he was a good president. Since Biden took office crime, inflation and illegal immigration have sky rocketed.

A third of the book was about how Leftist legislation is destroying our country.

It seems that there are new rules that govern our politics. The Leftist Democrats have learned them and in many cases, invented them. Republicans and conservatives have not. We must beat them at their own game.

Read For Current Political Insights

Dick Morris has been a political consultant for decades and takes his experience, stories and knowledge and pours it into the stories and statistics in THE RETURN. I found his insights about immigration, inflation, China and many other current events were written with authority and insights.

Many wonder whether Donald Trump is going to run in 2024 for President. Morris has spoken with President Trump multiple times and writes in his book about President Trump saying, “Not only can he win, he will win, and nobody else can. As surely as he was our 45th president, he will be our 47th as well.” (Page 51)

I read THE RETURN from cover to cover, enjoyed it and recommend it.

Radical right wing propaganda, this will end up like his prediction of the 2012 election. Cult of personality and identity politics will be the death of this country. If you care about any woman or person of color then you cannot in good conscience support either of these men. Dick was an advisor to Clinton and has helped countless evil politicians since then.

Learning truths

I was enlightened in many areas of our govt by reading this book. I always wondered how Dick Morris switched from supporting democrats to supporting President Trump. This was a very good read.

Every American should read this book

This is a real easy read outlining how we can participate in reclaiming the America our forefathers invisioned for this great country. The left have got to be stopped in 2022 and 2024 or there will be nothing left for our future generations definitely not a constitution if the brainless left have any say about it. I was surprised to learn of Morris's long term relationship with the former president. The first 90 pages are a good summary of the many successes of Donald Trump's presidency, and why we need him back. This alone makes it worth the price. The rest of the book examines the important issues to focus on in the next election: Inflation, Immigration and Crime. Along with some dissecting of the problems of our education system. Most of the last I already knew.

This may be an excellent book, but I could not tell for sure. Every galley proof that I receive to read and review always contains some typos, commissions, and errors, but this proof was almost unreadable despite this problem. "The Return" contained countless facts and statistics that make me suspect that it will be a top-notch political book when corrected.

This is a book that sets out why the author predicts that Donald Trump will run for president in 2024 and win. The first two parts discuss the 2020 election and how and why Trump lost and what Republicans need to do to fix things. The third part of the book talks about the issues facing the nation and why Biden and the Democrats need to be opposed. The issues include inflation, immigration, crime, the Woke ideology prevalent on the Left, the suppression of viewpoints by Big Tech, etc. How all this will play out remains to be seen - as of this writing the midterm elections are still two months away and anything can happen. And the next presidential election is still two years away - two years is an eternity in politics so only God knows what will happen. But all that said, this is a book I recommend to anyone who is a political junkie.

This work will be readily praised by the right and repudiated by the left. Morris gives inside information surrounding the 2020 election and it’s aftermath. His personal conversations with the President are illuminating. Morris focuses his attention on key critical areas that should influence the voter. He discusses race and gender, inflation, free speech, small business, Chinese influence, and taxes. Morris argues that should the left retain control America will continue to suffer. His solution to end the suffering is Donald Trump to return as President.

This is pretty much what Republicans think about things, sprinkled with facts that may or may not be known.
This book has no actual conclusion and I'm not sure what the takeaway from this is supposed to be.

An eye-opening book to say the least. To say the stakes are high in both the 2022 Mid-Term Election and 2024 General Election is an understatement. The Conclusion of the book says it best:

WE CANNOT READ THE plans of the woke Left without understanding, in a way that we never have, the true stakes involved in the elections of 2022 and 2024. Are the gains of generations of American families to be burned alive on the coals of woke envy? Is all that we have achieved as a nation, and as families, to be held hostage in order to punish us for slaves we never owned (and our ancestors died to free), discrimination we never practiced, and racism we never felt in our hearts? Are our children to be taught to hate and envy one another? Is the emerging post- racial era in our society to be forfeit in the new cancel culture? Are our heroes to be debased, and our great past presidents to be demeaned as slave-owning imperialists? Is brotherhood to be sacrificed for natred? Is reconciliation to be wiped out in the name of meting out what the Left calls "equity"-balancing the accounts of history by robbing the present to pay the supposed debts of the past? Are the shared sacrifices of the past -what Lincoln, in his first inaugural address, called the "mystic chords of memory and the better angels of our nature" to be swept aside with each swipe of the woke guillotine of the cancel culture? Is our blessed democracy to be debased by altered ballots, phony signatures, and ghost voters, all because the burden of voter identification is too onerous? As far as I’m concerned, this book was a page-turner. The author’s extensive research and personal knowledge are combined with astute analysis and political insights and delivered in a straightforward, easy to read style. It is not by a long shot all about Trump, whose personal style, the author readily acknowledges, turns off a lot of people, but is crucial to his success. As Morris puts it, “Trump’s temperament and accomplishments are cause and effect. If you modulate the temperament, you won’t get the accomplishments.” He observed that it was “Not a pretty picture, but an effective way to govern” and cited good examples to make his point.

The book is divided into three parts – “Winning Under the New Rules,” “It Has to Be Trump,” and (the longest – 140 pages) “The Message: Democrats Have Made America Unrecognizable.”In that last section the author discusses inflation, immigration, and crime and issues like race, gender, free speech, education, and other proposals that will affect our lives, like forced unionization and the Biden plan to make children pay capital gains taxes upon receipt of the inherited property of their parents, not when those assets are sold.

People should read this book and be aware of the changes that could be in store for us.

As Michael Savage once stated, "Liberalism is a mental disorder!" This axiom is proven by the contents of this book. In the Left-wing world of lunacy, right is wrong while up is down. The far-left Progressives find they need to cloak their grand designs so the populace at-large doesn't wise up to their schemes. The author of this book researched the material and laid out what the Democrats are trying to do. Granted, I'm a few years behind in reading this material as President Trump has already been re-elected; however, reading this book has expanded on what I saw happening on the news. I highly encourage people to stay up-to-date on current events, research subjects we are not familiar with, and stay relevant to what's happening in the country's current state-of-affairs. Politicians with evil intent are counting on our ignorance.

This book was surprisingly good.

Morris tells his personal history with Donald Trump (had no idea his dad was Trump's attorney) and hits on what he thinks it'll take for the Republican Party to win in 2022 and 2024. I disagreed with him on a few parts (for example, that it'll take a Trumpian acolyte in every state to win an election; states vote different from one another), but I have no doubt he'd put up a good fight if I brought my objections up in person.

It'll be worth reading until 2024, so pick it up while it's hot. I look forward to reading his next book because apparently it'll answer some of my questions in this one.

Book Review

This book is very scary. I have always been a conservative Republican and I respected Trump for bringing God back into the WH. Your book scares me because it is true but so many deny what America is becoming. So what do we do? This book lays open how far right some Democrats will go to win. I hear Hillary Clinton laughing and saying "what difference does it make?" and I cringe! This book should be a " must read"for all Americans! Well written and welll documented.

The Return is an excellent book about American politics in the 2020s. The author outlines Democratic actions that put America in peril. He also addresses mistakes the GOP makes that keep them from defeating the Democratic politicians. I knew most of the material in the book, but the author's analyses were new to me. I listened to this book through Audible, read by the author. The author's voice is not suitable for listening to an audiobook.

Dick Morris knows politics as well as anyone in the US, so I trust his gut is good as it gets and he is right more than not. However, as far as a read so far before an election, it is just his opinion that is not well-researched. I will save you a few hours - Dick Morris thinks Trump will win in 2024. Not a real spoiler, since the title is Trumps's 2024 comeback. I would rather hear Dick's up to the day reasoning on why he think Trump will be president again.

Instead of hollering louder than your Democratic foe, talk reasonably but firmly about how you as a Republican in concert w fellow Republicans will fix the list of golden issues listed in this book.
