The fate of their world hangs in the balance.

Yanna is desperate to save her adopted home from the Witch Hunters she once called family. But the timeslip between Earth and Ragond has only grown worse. Memories are distorted, and the lives of both humans and dragons can be wiped out in an instant. With Ragond’s very existence tethered to Earth, Ragondians are forced to evacuate as the magical realm crumbles beneath their feet.

Yet, the Witch Hunter raids across the land continue, further damaging the tenuous link between Earth and Ragond. Yanna soon discovers that the raids are merely a ruse to conceal the theft of magical components needed to cast a powerful spell—one with horrifying consequences to those she loves. To stop them, she must return to Earth and retrieve the amulet that started this destructive chain of events.

If she fails, Ragond will be erased from existence.

Ava Richardson writes epic page-turning Young Adult Fantasy books. She creates lovable characters and drops them into intricate worlds that are barely contained within your eReader. Ava has written 21 YA dragon fantasy series, including her bestselling series Return of the Darkening and her recent series, Destia's Dragon Shifter War.

She grew up on a steady diet of fantasy and science fiction books handed down from her two big brothers – and despite being dog-eared and missing pages, she loved escaping into the magical worlds that those authors created. Her favorites were the ones about dragons; where they’d swoop, dive and soar through the skies of these enchanted lands.

This is book three and the finale of the Ragond’s Witch Hunter series and the main characters are Yanna Levian and her dragon Phaedron. She was once a Witch Hunter, raised with no choice but to be one as her parents were before her. After ending up in the realm of Ragond, with no way back to Earth, she realised she was a Mage and now she has become a Dragon Rider and studies at Stonehaven Academy. Now, she and her friends, as well as the staff and council, are trying to figure out ways to save Ragond, before the actions of the witch Bronwen, Ash and the growing numbers of Witch Hunters, finally manage to destroy their realm permanently. The effects of what they are doing has caused an increase in the resonance, causing a time slip between Earth and Ragond, with time passing by so much quicker than on Ragond. Strange occurrences are happening all over Ragond, from people falling unconscious to buildings falling apart and mountains moving al on their own! Together with that, are all the seemingly random attacks by groups of Witch Hunters, which they finally realise are hiding raids for powerful magical artifacts. They want to destroy the magical realms and cut Earth off from their influence, meaning death to all the humans, magical beings and dragons there. Evacuations have started, to remove as any people as safely as possible before the rest of the realm crumbles away.
Wyatt sends her to look for a magical time piece, thought to be linked to a powerful mage and thief of other such objects. He believes it may hold part of the solution to finding a way to stop Bronwen and Ash. Part of the plan is also to send a group to Earth and steal the amulet from Bronwen, but at the moment they have no way of making a portal, nor knowing exactly where it may be. Neither Yanna nor Phaedron are sleeping well and he finally admits to hearing voices, but far too many to understand what they are saying. They soon find out it is the voices of the aether of the scales, the spirits of dragons in the space between realms. Legend has it that the voices of the ancient spirits will be heard in the dark days. It is by soul slipping to these spirits that they may find the very answer they are seeking to end this destruction once and for all. Felix and other seers have received visions of the future, but they give only a vague sense of Yanna’s part in matters. It could be interpreted as Yanna destroying their world, or maybe saving it! It pulls her into doubting whether she can do anything right, she has already made so many mistakes and hurt others in the past. Maybe she isn’t the right person to be heading back to Earth to find the amulet!
But Felix, Farica, Hardin, Wyatt and others all believe in her and her mage skills, plus the fact she loves Ragond and its people and would do anything for them. Phaedron gets to speak for the ancient spirits and they need to use that knowledge when the face the Witch Hunters and Bronwen in the ancient ruins of the Fort of Moridunum. Time is running out, as the second millennium of the powers that brought Ragond into being with the actions and mistakes of the Link Mage, and magic will be at an all-time high along the leylines. The pull of the amulet will endanger Yanna and others, as they attempt to reconnoitre the fort, leaving some prisoners and the heavily armed Witch Hunters knowing of their presence. The amulet was first awoken with Yanna’s blood, but as a follower of Vortigern, Bronwen believed it would follow her demands. Unfortunately, Bronwen is not exactly working in conjunction with Ash and the Witch Hunter’s, having her own agenda. Felix was hoping that his own brother, Ash, would have some sort of breakthrough and realise that what he was doing was wrong, but Ash is too far gone to change his mind, like she and Felix did. She gives him plenty of chances, but he still wants them all dead! The past will reveal the answer as to what they need to do to ensure their futures. It will be a close call, as the two sides battle for what they believe in. Only one side will succeed and the other will face the cost of their actions. A fitting ending which gives a brief glimpse of what happens to those left behind. A great series full of magic and dragons and so much more. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

I've now finished the third and final book in the Ragond's Witch hunter series. This one brings everything to a head, as Yanna and her allies have to figure out a way to save Ragond and stop the Witch Hunters from destroying everything in their zealous attempts at destroying anything magical.

I am so bummed to say this third and final book was an overall disappointment. It's such a step down from the previous two books, which had a sense of discovery and a story that moved along steadily. This one, however, doesn't have much going for it. It drags a lot and not much happens, getting to the point of becoming repetitive and just going through the same motions over and over. Witch Hunters attack, time dissonance happens, the good guys try to figure out what to do while Yanna sulks and thinks and helps out, making a discovery to help later on, rinse and repeat, not much progress in general until a lot later in the book. There's very little action, we don't see most of the Witch Hunter attacks, and what action we do get is not thrilling. I was honestly bored a lot of the time while reading this.

We also don't get to spend as much time with some characters. Felix and Farica don't feel important enough, and villains Ash and Bronwen also barely appear. The final confrontation lacks punch, it lacks depth and character interactions, and it all gets resolved a bit too easily. The whole angle of teenage romance was also dull and uninspired, not helped in that Yanna and Hardin had pretty much zero romantic chemistry, same with Felix and Farica. And while the first two books had a certain amount of focus on the school life, classes and the like, that aspect, which is what most drew me in to this series (that and the dragons, of course) was pretty much an afterthought here, and I sorely missed it and wish we could have gotten a lot more of it throughout the series.,

While the first two books were good, this one just missed the mark for me. I wouldn't call it bad, but I just didn't enjoy it. I have to give it 2 out of 5 stars.

This was probably one of my favourite Ava series. I loved the characters and the plot and how the story of a Witch Hunter from Earth ends up as a Witch in another Realm! When the fate of 2 realms rests squarely on Yanna's shoulder's, she pulls out all the stops to save both. I loved the interaction between Yanna and the very arrogant dragon Pheadron, their eventual acceptance of each other. I enjoyed the how Yanna came to realise that not everything one is taught holds try. I did feel the middle lagged a little but the pacing and storyline picks up again I really loved how well the scenes with Ash and Bronwen were described. And as always, I enjoy how manages to get me to fall in love with all the characters, to root for the goodies and boo at the baddies!

The final instalment of this latest trilogy from Ragond is excellent. Yanna has had to grow up amidst an ongoing threat from the Witch Hunters. The threat to her new world and her new family is real and getting worse minute by minute. As Yanna realises she is going to have to face her worst fears and her partnership with her dragon Phaedron is about to be tested to its limit.

The story has all the excitement you could wish for as Yanna comes into her own. The final climax is brilliant and had me on the edge of my seat. A thoroughly enjoyable story from start to finish. I highly recommend it to anyone with a love of dragon tales.

Yanna is put to the test as the Witch Hunters ravage villages on Ragond with the time discrepancies in extremes between worlds. Ash is back and so are others, but Yanna and Phaedron are attempting the impossible with a high possibly of no return. Ava Richardson's Dragon's Realm is high adventure fraught with danger, uncertainty and desperate deeds in an attempt to save Earth and Ragond. I love how this ends, Yanna pulls together everything she has learned plus one of the most important teachings, trusting in oneself and listening to that small inner voice for guidance.

Brilliant story ,the last of a series and a "clean " book so suitable for older teens and young adults. Knowing the story was coming to an end I kept trying to slow down my reading so I could enjoy it longer ...it didnt work as I became so engrossed in the story I kept readling long after I should have taken a break. This is the sort of book that you can read again and again and I have found a new favourite author.

Dragons realm A masterpiece from the Queen of Dragon riders

Ava Richardson has once again created an epic coming-of-age tale with Dragon riders. Dragons Realm is the perfect conclusion to her newest trilogy of stories. Perfectly continuing the characters Journey from the previous stories and seamlessly tying together with previous novels from the same universe. All while the main character grows through facing unimaginable challenges and questions of what family truly is. The main characters find these answers and many more in the pages of Dragons Realm.

Ava Richardson does not disappoint. She continues to be one of the most consistent and talented dragon lore writers. This is the third and final book in this series. Yanna, a witch hunter from earth, turned mage and dragon rider, seeks out about why there is a time dissonance affecting Ragond. She discovers how her old witch hunter friends (turned enemies) are trying to destroy the land she has come to love. Great plot, fast paced action and well developed characters. 5/5 stars.

Janna continues to prove to be a strong woman with integrity. Teamed with Phaedron she is invincible as she tries to stop the destruction of Ragond. This book is full of anguish for the destruction that the Witch Hunters have done to Ragond and its people. There is adventure as they try to find the way to save Ragond. And there is tentative feelings being revealed between Janna and Hardin. I loved reading this series of books.

A great ending to an wonderfully entertaining series. The time distortions are tearing the Ragond realm apart and Hanna will be forced into one final battle to say everything she now loves. I enjoyed this book immensely. A great story with a detailed and well described world. Great characters with depth and emotion a epic climax and dragons of course. I am in one way sad to see the series and but it has been a worthwhile journey. I highly recommend this author of you like well written books that can be enjoyed by everyone.

This is a fantastic conclusion to this Ragond series. The plot is fantastic with twists, turns and surprises. This is a well written, action packed and detailed dragon adventure. With magic, mages and strong characters. With the battle for a solution to saving Ragond becoming harder and more desperate, Yanna and Felix are having to face hard problems and decisions.

All of the books in the Ragond series have been great but this one, as the end of this particular trilogy, was absolutely brilliant. Explosive, loads of action, a hint of romance , dragons and mages - what more can you ask for!.

kept me reading non stop

I’ve read all 3 of the series. I could keep on reading stories and adventures of Yanna and Phaedron! There is so much to learn about how we damage our children’s minds sometimes with hatred towards others! I truly enjoyed these books and the others too! Love this author’s writing.

This was a fascinating experience. To be entirely involved with the special characters and exciting things happening rapidly. Ava you are an awesome, amazing story teller. Each story seems better than the others but no they are all great. I look forward to all your work. Enjoyed to the fullest extent.

A mostly satisfying ending to Ayanna’s story. I wish there was more to her relationship with Harden, but this is a YA series that is very PG (not what I’m used to, lol). Ash’s death was a little meh, but he really couldn’t be redeemed, so not a whole lot else could be done than sending him off in a cloud of darkness. Overall, a good read, a good narrator, and a good conclusion.

I'm overwhelmed, once again you knocked the ball out of the park.😊

Not to sure what to say, saying the words is a lot easier than typing. I'm trying to send the words instead of typing it on the small keyboard.

The characters are fun and I was able to identify with them. Not all authors can create a universe with multiple people and stories, Ava Richardson made a wonderful universe.

Saving the Worlds . . .

With destruction racing over Earth and Ragond, with the magical realm crumbling and the people evacuating, Yanna realizes the true purpose of the raids is to hide the theft of magical components which are being gathered to create a powerful spell. That spell will destroy everything and obliterate Ragond forever. The only way to stop them now is for Yanna to return to Earth to find the amulet that started it all. Can she succeed? Or is everything she loves going to be swallowed up in the disaster?

The narrator for the audiobook version, Rebekah Nemethy, brings the “reading” experience alive for the listener. She does a good job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate impression of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood, familiarize the reader with the characters, and offers a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.
