Hello! It's fun to have you here, and I can't wait to share with you the stories I've written. (I think that's my favorite part about being an author is gushing over the books I write with other people!)
With that being said, not only am I an author, but a homeschool mom to four beautiful children, and married to the man who inspires most of the swoony scenes you'll read (insert sigh); which goes to say that I'm happily married and he's the best thing that's happened to me.
Along with writing books, I love art (hence my children's books), photography, trying to new recipes, and going on adventures! (Cruises, hikes, strawberry patches, Disney...you name it! We just recently went to Universal Studios (Harry Potter World) and LOVED it!
I love getting out and exploring the beautiful earth my Heavenly Father has created for me and hope to explore Europe one day. (Gotta see those castles for inspiration ;)
This was supposed to be book 2, but I feel like I missed a book in there somewhere. It goes from her being rescued to them five years later and she was supposed to marry the king but she was transformed and then she wasn’t. It was completely un-followable. Badly in need of an editor as well, several obvious grammar mistakes.
Didn’t finish. To be fair, I didn’t get far enough to really immerse myself in the plot. If the plot were amazing, it could carry a reader through. The book needed an editor, in my opinion. It had too much “thinking”, info dumping at the beginning, forced (cliche) dialogue, predictable development, and poor formatting.
I really enjoyed reading “Bound To The Dark Fae Prince”. The cover caught my attention immediately, which is why I decided to read the book to begin with. Yes! I know I shouldn’t judge a book based solely on its cover, but for the most part that’s exactly what I do. This novel was full of suspense, romance, and mythical creatures. For an added bonus this fantasy was CLEAN, which I appreciate beyond measure. I loved how protective Devron was over Helen and their first kiss had just the right amount of swoon. They are definitely one of my favorite couples. The only downfall of this novel was a few grammatical errors, which I could live with. Overall, this book was a joy and I can’t wait to read more stories written by Amy Horikami.
This book reads like a first draft of a story written by a middle school student. The typos, bad grammar, plot line inconsistencies, and lack of story development truly feel like the wrong file was sent to the publisher. Since it has 4 stars on Goodreads (at the time of my reading) I thought maybe the story would improve as the book went on, but boy was I wrong. Don't waste your time.
