Perfect peace explores the journey after goodbyes. A lot of turning backs, patting your own back and focussing ahead. This book makes you dive deep into the journey of finding peace after a loving adieu without any compromises, because Love is Unconditional.
This book has beautiful compositions that mostly revolve around life, encouraging all readers. I enjoyed all. One of my favorites is: Stars don’t fear to shine, Despite burning. Despite nearing their end, Each one stands out even in a crowd!
I would love to read more of your poems, Debaruna. Keep penning them.

I'm not really a poetry person. Which isn't to say that I havnt read any poetry, but I struggle with understanding what I consider the 'elite' language. I'm more of a instapoetry person. Same reason why I havnt read Jane Austen and Shakespeare lol. So I'm really really glad to have found another fave poet! Ghosh's language is to easy to understand, and she captures the essence of her thoughts perfectly. She explores mundane topics like love, books, music, the human need to be always productive in such a beautiful and thought provoking way that makes you to want to turn the pages over the over again to experience more and more of her thoughts and musings in written form(I'm not exaggerating I read like 50 pages without moving an inch lol). Perfect Peace is a collection of beautiful poetry and prose. It's an exploration of emotions and pain, healing and love....and how love, circumstances, people and age change and shape you. If you like Rupi Kaur you would definitely like this one!
Note: I received an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts here are my own.
Be a wanderer, the soul has quite an insatiable thirst.”
Perfect Peace is a beautiful collection of poems and prose. In this infinite limerence of life, we keep finding the moment to get through our pain, uncontrollable situations and people who come and go out of our life but the perfect moment doesn’t exist, time isn’t certain, life go on and eventually you have to get over pain, hurt that people give and expand the horizon of your mind to infinite possibilities. Have you ever thought that love changes you? It’s not only love that changes you but also each phase of life demands a different version of you. In the midst of infinite emotions and uncertain situations you have to find yourself and mend your heart from time to time.
It’s a deep exploration of emotions, pain, moving forward, building walls around your heart, healing, love and hurt. And how love, situations, people and years of your life changes and shapes you.
I always believe in minimalism — less is more, and try to convey effectively with fewer words. (I know it's hard.)
Thus, what better than a tool like poetry, which validates the intention and purpose of verses that is short yet emotive and affective when delivered convincingly and with conciseness.
In addition, the title 'Perfect Peace' was both dichotomous and contrasting as I never believed in the adjective 'perfect' for it's sheer utopianness and unconnectedness in the real world.
The above paragraphs are my prelude to this wonderful poetry collections by Ms Ghosh that steered me to give it a try, in between my prosaic prose reads.
The poetess in her debut work has done an exceptional job by giving 'very short' poems that is touching and breathing with full of life and verve, even though the subtlety of sadness lingers all through.
I love sad poems that are good. I look for use of words, where a pause is taken, and how the line ends, and sometimes whether it gels with the mood and rhymes and chimes in with syllables and sounds that can be haunting in a good way. It ticks all my boxes.
The predominant themes of this poetry collection are love, pain, heartbreak, guilt, nature, human behaviour and relationship.
I felt good reading these poems. Hope, you too will experience varied emotions, and can appreciate the author's work.
Everyone wants to live a happy, fulfilled life filled with joy and meaning. But it’s not as easy as it sounds; you need to know what you’re doing to live up to your full potential and maintain positive mental health. And that’s why I’m here today, because I can’t go on living my own life without telling you about one of the best books out there that can help you with this kind of thing: Perfect Peace by Dr. Debaruna Ghosh.
Perfect Peace by Dr. Debaruna Ghosh is a beautiful collection of melodious , heart touching poems, inspired by the true peace found in nature and her own family, which will make you take time to appreciate and enjoy every moment. The book is also full of useful tips for living life to the fullest and being happy with what you have. I recommend this book because it can be beneficial to anyone looking for ways to simplify their life or find more peace in it. It's also an amazing read if you're someone who appreciates a good poem!
The poems do not have titles and all poems are based on different themes yet mixed together. The fact that there arent titles to each hints at freedom, that all emotions needn't be named. There is also no table of contents which is indicative of the random flow of thoughts from the restless mind and an unquenched heart.
Perfect Peace is an amazing poetry book by author Ghosh. With beautiful and powerful poems to read, you will be able to feel the emotions and understand what each poem means. The poems are about peace and happiness, two of the most important things in life. They help people understand how to live a more peaceful life. I recommend this book for anyone who wants more peace in their life or for anyone who needs a little more understanding on what it's like to live a peaceful life.
More than the title I was invited to the cover page of this book which directly connects with the connect colors used are bright and attractive to attain readers' attention. No doubt that this one was a great read but these lines from the book If books didn’t exist, The darkness of ignorance would have enveloped the world, Thoughts would never have been penned down, Fantasy lands wouldn’t have been frequented, Minds wouldn’t have been analyzed. We would never have known right versus wrong,' Our very existence would be in question! Didn't allow me at all to keep it aside so I kept on reading, reading, and reading.
The language used is up to the mark and when I add my point of view to the cover page as I mentioned above that the peaceful cover page invited me to read out this one completely. In my words, the cover page is more than awesome and is wisely chosen by the author. Also, the book gracefully says that life is too short to worry about people's words rather one must move forward with time.
Also, when things are in our hands one must try their level best to seek them out, and secondly if even one of them is not in our hands then the respective one must accept the situation and gather the courage to deal with the things according to the requirements.
Another great line from the book If I had control over my dreams, I’d tame them to show me Those priceless moments with you, Those that still make me smile. Oh, wait! What a blunder! No! Never should one’s heart be heeded! They’d wake me up to reality without you, And the wounds would bleed a new. No! If I had control over my dreams, I’d just ban them!
"People are like stones, They come in different forms. Some ordinary, some remarkable. Some influence our paths, and some don’t. Some hurt, yet some soothe. Some provide shelter; some shatter it."
If you guys ever felt peace from reading books or poems, then this book is for you. This book has a variety of wonderful poems about the future, the past, hope, love, and everything. Just see the lines about people we cross our lives, those lines are perfect for what we see and go through, in daily lives, we meet dozens of people in our daily some may stay and some may not, and some may give us happiness and some may give goodbyes forever, but we don't know when it will be and we may not ready for next thing that's what we think right, but we always ready to face whatever it is.
"You are like coffee! A cup of happiness! An energized morning. My day doesn’t begin without it. You are like coffee, my addiction!"
And my favorite one is this, I'm a coffee person. When I saw this about coffee, my thoughts were, can someone write a beautiful line with coffee, this is perfect just read those lines. These are fun to read and some of them are so meaningful while reading this, we can connect and think about lives with this. Just check out this book guys, you'll surely like to read it. There are many lines like this in the book to read, I enjoyed reading those.
"Nobody knows anything about the future, Yet everyone is running to make a better future. What we don’t realize is We are losing our present for the future, The commencement of which we know not."
I’m grateful to Dr. Debaruna Ghosh for sending me her lovely collection of poems, epitaphs, and little stories that encapsulate lifetimes’ worth of history. Each of the poems in Perfect Peace resonates on different levels, whether they are about love, promises made under the stars, heartbreak, and the slow, trundling chariot of time that crushes everyone in its path. In my case, it stirred up some memories I had long forgotten and processed through some emotional upheaval, but it’s amazing how each page in this book captures all those memories we’ve all felt at some point in our lives. Whether it’s the one about how we could enjoy life with some crumpled bits of cash in our pockets, or the rat race that we’re all caught up in, Dr. Ghosh pulls at our heartstrings with her writing.
This collection is a must-read for anyone who’s anyone as it is bound to stir up certain memories and emotions. Plus, its compact, minimalist approach to storytelling creates vivid imagery of places we’ve been to, the people we’ve met, and the situations we’ve endured.
Perfect Peace is available at Amazon. Some of my favorites from the book:
“A camera fails where the heart succeeds.”
“Nobody knows anything about the future, Yet everyone is running to make a better future. What we don’t realize is We are losing our present for the future, The commencement of which we know not”
“Meet me where there are no regrets, Regrets of not heeding the heart.”
“You have frequented My dreams so much, That even a dream without you Seems incomplete.”
Note: The author of this book provided me with a digital copy, but all opinions stated are my own, honest thoughts.
Perfect Peace is an anthology of 100 poems, which Dr. Debaruna Ghosh self-described as “microtales on the journey after goodbyes, moving on and nature”.
It was written in a diaristic, borderline confessional, manner, which added to the overall raw poignancy of the pieces. Throughout the collection, she frequented the motif of the sea, healing and heartbreak, all of which varied in length and style. She kindly allowed me to showcase a few pages as examples of the overall tone/themes of her work - so if you enjoyed them, you should certainly have a look at the rest of her collection.
There were some occurrences of slight repetitiveness, with some poems that I felt would have benefited from being combined as a continuation from others, however, I think this added to the themes Ghosh was exploring and allowed for a dimension of relatability.
In many ways, I was reminded of a wandering mind, with each poem a distillation of whatever emotion being mused over. It would appeal to those looking for shorter works of introspective poetry, though sometimes I wished she lingered and developed her ideas a little further, as I found myself wanting to follow the thought process of her writing more so.
I find I don't read poetry very often, despite having a deep admiration for it, so this was a lovely palette-cleanse and change of pace. Each poem was easily digestible and I would love to know if she ever plans on creating another collection.
Books - Perfect Peace Author- Dr. Debruna Ghosh Type - Poetry / Compilation
Dr. Debaruna Ghosh's "Perfect Peace" is a collection of some heartbreaking poems, where each stanza clearly expresses the sorrow, grief and pain.
Every line in this collection is full of emotion. This book is a manifestation of the situation of breaking the bond of true love. The poems in this collection are very short, yet they have left their sweet fragrance on most of the pages of this book in a very good way. This book is meant to convey to readers that "love or separation runs parallel to each other." Each poem will inspire the reader that walking together doesn't mean walking together literally. The wisest thing to do is to reach your destination alone. If the fight for "Ego" had been put aside for a while ... if we had known how to do both a little adjustment and a little sacrifice, maybe no relationship in the world could have turned into an "ex".
This reading is heartbreaking, moving forward, containing sorrow, grief and anguish. The main purpose behind reading this was to find peace after a heartbreak that I found really connected and invisible.
Simple and easy language is used in this book so readers can easily understand it. I highly recommend this book to all readers.
My Ratings -

"Smile is a gift, I wish I could give you everyday. I wish the incessant rains could Wash your worries away, For it pains to see you in pain. Your smiling face is a sight to behold, The source of my calm, Only if I could gift you!"
2022 the longest year that has ever been is almost at an end, and that means it is time for us to break out the calculators and tabulate life and check out this beautiful book by Dr. Debaruna Ghosh.
This book is a great one with a collection of pieces that revolves around themes that everyone can relate to and associate a little of it with themselves.
Life is too short to worry about what will people say. And key to true happiness is living life to the fullest.
This book is an amazing and refreshing book that teaches us various things and most importantly the importance of living life freely.
The language in the book is straightforward and interesting. The tone of the book is humourus, sarcastic and lyrical. A great collection of poems. It contains pieces for all moods of life. Everyone will find something which will speak directly to his or her heart.
All in a few words: simple, nice, engaging side of unrequited life. Leave all specifications. Hey you! Pick it up.
"If books didn’t exist, The darkness of ignorance would have enveloped the world, Thoughts would never have been penned down, Fantasy lands wouldn’t have been frequented, Minds wouldn’t have been analysed. We would never have known right versus wrong, Our very existence would be at question!"

"Be a wanderer, The soul has quite an insatiable thirst. And a lifetime is too short To tread the world, To fathom the sea, To watch the universe."
This entry serves as a great reminder to embrace the wandering spirit and live fully.
"Perfect Peace" reads like a poetic diary of love and life's highs and lows. What's great is that it's an easy and relatable read.
It's a beautiful mix of poems that capture the infinite aspects of life. The collection navigates the challenges of pain, unpredictable situations, and the transient nature of relationships. Life goes on, and while there might not be a perfect moment, the journey continues. Another entry that resonates is a poignant reminder that we often spend too much time worrying about the future, missing the present moments:
"Nobody knows anything about the future, Yet everyone is running to make a better future. What we don’t realize is We are losing our present for the future, The commencement of which we know not."
The collection delves deep into the ebb and flow of emotions, the process of healing, and the transformation that love and life's phases bring. Much like your own reflections, it explores the changes, shaping, and molding that occur through love, experiences, people, and the passage of time.
Give it a read; it's a book that you will pick up now and again to re-read your favorite entries that mirror your own life and feelings.
Perfect peace explores the journey after goodbyes. It is all about picking yourself up after falling down and patting your own back and looking at the things ahead of you. As they life and time don't stop for anyone. The journey goes.
Dr. Debaruna Ghosh pens down some beautiful thoughts on these aspects of life in the form of poetic prose. Each verse is so short but the beauty lies in the fact that so much more is conveyed even though so little is said. While reading each of these verses even those emotions were unleashed that I had locked up ages ago with the key thrown far away from each.
While we come across some heart-rending lines in this book, we also find poems that capture the true essence of life and living to the fullest. Having loved and lost is something most of us have experienced and it is those feelings that come alive in this remarkable work. The pain of separation, cherishing moments and so many other feelings can be experienced all at once that at times it gets overwhelming for the reader. In places the book also reminds us how the wheel breaks the butterfly, so it does provide a refreshing purpose on life in general as well making you reflect and introspect on the way you've been living it.
I received a copy of Perfect Peace from Dr. Debaruna Ghosh @the_wow_runa in exchange for an honest review.
Perfect Peace is a collection of 100 short poems about a journey of finding peace. It starts out longing, hopeful, and in love. Somewhere along the way there is heart break and grief but still that hope remains that you will find peace. It made me think, is peace a person? A place? Can it become a tangible thing? Is it the leaves rustling or the stars twinkling? This book highlighted that perfect peace is something everyone is in search of and comes in many different forms.
These poems were thought provoking with the ongoing theme of a never-ending quest for peace in a busy world filled with love and loss. Throughout the book, there was a sense of optimism and seeing the silver linings even in the darkest times.
"Love gives meaning to our very existence... nurturing the wanderlust soul."
"You have frequented my dreams so much that even a dream without you seems incomplete"
"A camera fails where the heart succeeds. Moments truly enjoyed are never captured on film."
Few books take away your soul, and so was this one for me. Being a poetry lover, I enjoyed each and every poem that author has poured down flawlessly. There are a variety of poems, covering many topics.
"Walking alone is better than not walking at all. It has a destination. When you know, you are all that you have, When there is no option but to overcome your fears. At least the journey is worthwhile. It leaves an independent and daunting version of you."
Few lines which touched my heart. Author has written each pieces with depth and meaning. They are realistic, they are about life, dreams, music memories and many relatable contents soaked in emotions love and smile.
Another encouraging lines from poets end " Rowing through the ocean of emotions May seem tough, But it is worth the effort!" ..
The journey of life needs efforts but the results are always fruitful. This was a perfect unputdownable book and i relished each poems. The cover of the book is beautiful....and this book can be read again and again...
"Perfect Peace" by Dr. Debaruna Ghosh is a book which has collection of beautifully written and well crafted poems. Poetry is a unique language that combines and uses words to convey meaning and communicate ideas, feelings, sounds, gestures, signs, and symbols. I love reading poems as it connects deeply with one's soul, so this was the reason behind this pick, and I am so glad that I made a perfect choice.
This read holds the theme of heartbreaks, move on's, sorrow, grief and pain. The main motive behind this read was to find peace after heartbreaks which I found really connecting and unputdownable. Grab your copies and do go through, I am sure one will definitely love it.
Now, coming on the book cover, it's beautiful and soothing. Very well designed and catchy. The title was apt and well-suited. The writing style of the author was pretty impressive. Rich and reader-friendly words used which makes it a perfect read.
Overall, a refreshing read and will definitely recommend.
✍️ Poetry - it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea. I am myself not a poetry lover but sometimes it doed feels refreshing to try new different genres. Since last month, I am getting interested in poetry genre. So finally I picked this one up.
👉 Firstly I have to admit that small segments made this book all the more interesting. Generally, poetry narrations are lengthy. So picturising a single scene needs a good deal of elaboration. But here the author has done a great job.
In very few words different scenes of human life has been painted. There is no specific chapter. It feels like we are reading our own life on each page.
It talks about mistakes, memories, love, complications, achievements, failure, past and present and much more.
🍂 At the end of this book, one can feel pleasure. Our mind can be relaxed and an inner satisfaction will run through.
I would suggest this book to every poetry lover to feel the same pleasure which I have experienced. May be they can feel much better than me of course.
Thank you Debaruna Ghosh for the gifted copy of Perfect Peace. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Perfect Peace is a beautiful collection of poetry discussing love, growth, grief, the journey, hope, pain, moving on, silver linings, matters of the heart, healing, mourning, life, loss, change, and so much more. Each poem is short, but poignant and full of emotion.
Although I enjoyed each poem, two stood out to me as favorites. The first was a poem depicting the reader walking down a path with a companion. They get separated in a fog and realize that although their destinations are different, the journey was memorable. ❤️ The second was about giving someone your heart and never wanting it back because it’s lost to the recipient forevermore.
This book is a quick read. Clocking in at around 112 pages, you can easily finish this collection of poetry in one sitting. However, you may want to linger over the wisdom found in each line. There are some great lessons to be learned and contemplated between the pages.
Poetry is language at its most distilled and most powerful. There are very few poetry books which I have read and liked.
Perfect Peace is a poetry collection by Dr. Debaruna Ghosh. Most poems are brief; some are composed of just a few lines. But we should never underestimate words. Because the power of words is measured by their impact on others rather than their quantity. Some of these words are very inspiring.
I can totally and honestly say that I felt related to many of the words in the book. While I was reading, I often thought, "Ohh! Yeah, this happened to me too. I felt this too.
These are the words with which I connected the most.
You came like that gift which I longed to open and see. Alas! It was addressed to someone else.
You were that beautiful road, Which I would eagerly walk on. But as we passed the fog, I realized Our destinations were different. Nevertheless, the walk was memorable!
The book is about poetic lines from the author, very easy lines which make you think and feel more. some moments in life can't be captured on camera only through our eyes often I think this in mind...which is my favourite line from the author...
Yes, which gives you peace, which gives you happiness, while reading each page I carry some of my memories through the author's lines... Sleep gives you peace but for that sleep more people struggling here.
Music which makes you feel light, your favourite people's memories and moments with them, some of them have their book world to get lost them, some travel to unknown or to favourite destinations...here broken heart person who finds love everywhere in his/her life. Miss the love of life...but the love is not with him right now...
Lovely cover of the book...easy to read and go through the flow..thanks to the author give a good book because I m not a person who reads poetic books...
Book- Perfect Peace Author- Dr. Debaruna Ghosh Genre- Poetry/ Anthology
This is unlike the other regular books. Thus, it was confusing to choose whether it was an anthology of thoughts or a collection of lyrics. But on the other hand, the book's cover is vibrant. Moreover, every stanza comes under one heading, "Perfect Peace."
The words are filled with poignancy. They are captivating and short, yet they leave their sweet fragrance behind on most pages. Love or separation run parallel to each other. They are always together but never merge with one another.
I found some lines quite moving. It's tough to get rid of the past how hard one may try; it remains just like the stubborn mule. "The worst thing about the past is It doesn't fade away. The more one tries The harder it becomes". "Perfect Peace" is soothing yet sorrowful in its style.
I wait for you with bated breath, My ears are stretching out to hear your footsteps. And hundred questions storming my mind. Will you come? I know you won't, Yet it lingers on. What if you do?
A heart-touching lines from the book.
The book "Perfect Peace" is a moving work of poetry. It is a collection of hundred heartfelt poetries. The theme of the poetry is grief, sorrow, pain and longing. I had read many poetries based on these themes before, but I had never been touched so much.
There is no human who had not grieved. And this book make you think about those times and will move you. There are many lines from the verses which spoke to my soul. A lot relatable emotions in each poem.
All i can say is, the verses are from heart, simple and profound at the same time. They find a resonance in your mind.
It's said time heals everything. We learn to move on from one thing to another as that is said to be life. But in the book the author talks about the feelings of a person who is unable to move on from past love. There is acceptance that love cannot come back, however there is also acceptance that the heart cannot be opened for someone else. What I loved the most was the author 's question on why memories of a past love should be erased, if those memories are full of love. The author very beautifully questions the society's ethos of letting go and moving on with her words. The book kind of gives a message that we all are humans and we all are different. Solutions that give peace to one person may not give peace to another. So let each one find their own way of peace. Societal norms should not be the measurement that decides whether an individual is at peace with themselves
I recently read this book and it is an enthralling read. This book motivates you to focus on the greater things that lie ahead in your path. This beautiful concept is expressed in the form of poetry by the author. The themes of the book are very appropriate to the narrative such as hope, longing and peace.
Some of the lines that I liked in this book are: 'Walking alone is better than not walking at all. It has a destination. When you know , you are all that you have, When there is no option but to overcome your fears. At least the journey is worthwhile. It leaves an independent and daunting version of you.'
Though many poems in this book are commendable and have been written in an exquisite writing style, many poems are quite simplistic too. This book should be read by readers interested in the genre of poetry.
As the title says, this book is a collection of short poems that are going to garden your heart with peace. The writing style is quite simple and beautiful. The poems are of different themes...like hope, love, pain, happiness....what I love the most is that the poetess has written deep in simplest things like drinking coffee and reading an old diary...
If you are a beginner poetry reader then this is a must read for you.
Lemme share some of my favorite ones....
"I choose darkness when light pained me, when the world didn't accept me. It seeks a happy demeanor. It's hollow to be fake. Rather be true, even if in shade."
"When I opened my bag, I found someone’s diary in it. I opened it. The names, the occurrences, Did ring a bell. Familiar, yet strange. True , they say, “when you walk out of a storm, You are no longer the same."
"If I had control over my dreams, I’d tame them to show me Those priceless moments with you, Those that still make me smile. Oh, wait! What a blunder! No! Never should one’s heart be heeded! They’d wake me up to reality without you, And the wounds would bleed anew. No! If I had control over my dreams, I’d just ban them!
Being a writer myself I have always been keen towards reading new poems, recently I came across a lot of books which had poems, but when I started with this one, I just felt it really is written to bring peace.
It made me feel the poems are not just words rather emotions that the author has penned down.
The title is short, and quiet captivating which is why I picked this book up. The book cover on other hand is beautiful. You won’t be able to take your eyes off .
This is the first time I ever read a poetry book and giving my feedback as well. To be honest I really don’t know if my review can do the justice to this beautiful collection of poems which is penned down exquisitely direct from the strings of the heart. Sometimes you’d feel overwhelmed by emotions this collection would evoke in you taking you down to the memory lanes, reminiscing the moments which you’d locked somewhere deep in ur heart. A pang of pain in ur heart, a mysterious smile on your lips, fluttering of butterflies in your stomach and a different sensation will run through the veins in your body as you will go deeper in the book.
If you like beautiful verses or small poems to bring a smile on your face or reminisce some of the beautiful moments in your life… this is it for you.
A Beautiful book with hundred short poems. I love poetry so I liked this collection. All the poems were calm, pleasant and harmonious for me. Short yet powerful.
Perfect Peace is the collection of poems by Dr. Debaruna Ghosh. This is the first time I read her book and I found it mesmerizing and touching.
My expectations were high from this book and the author didn't let me down. To my surprise, this is also the best poetry book I read this week.
Every poem is unique and wonderfully written. I could connect my life with some lines. I find it an enchanting reading. Every verse is relatable. It really feels charismatic while you fall in love with words. Kudos to author who writes so well.
