Lost in the Vast #4

Mallory Manor

Rate this book
Neither ghosts nor curses can be ignored, and both refuse to be forgotten.

Mallory Manor has more than a few bumps in the night. The floorboards scream instead of creak. The walls groan with vile intent. Many are forced to carry their trauma into this new world, but the bones and the halls of the house bear the weight of its own torment. And it’s determined to make them suffer with it.

Seeking shelter from a fierce storm, they unwittingly step into a new nightmare. Some people aren’t who they appear to be. Past memories resurface, and new ones leave their mark. Unexpected alliances are made, adding even more division between the rest of them. While the manor comes alive, a new life is brought into it. When the dead invite the living to a masquerade, they all have to ask themselves one question.

Which is more evil: ghosts or curses?

LOVED IT!!! Wow! This is another crazy good episode from the authors of the Lost in the Vast series! This episode takes place in a haunted mansion and is scary, funny, romantic…I guess I’m getting attached to the characters because I’m so glad Alexis is ok after everything she’s been through but OMG, I need the next book so I can find out how Malakai and Cole are doing. Not only that, but we find out that we are in for a crazy spin in the next episode….something very unusual and I’m sure it will be very entertaining. I highly recommend this series! It’s very well written and easy to picture the characters and settings. The authors definitely have a way of pulling you into this multi-dimensional fantasy story as if you are right there.

I was very excited to get back into this world and I was not disappointed. Each of these stories is another alternate time-line our characters jump into, and each one is more fantastical, weird, and scary than the last. As such, these are not standalones; if you don't read them in order, you will be lost.

I love how these characters are changing and the world building is phenomenal. I was not expecting a haunted house this time - I read this right after Halloween, so it was the perfect timing!

I've really been enjoying the Lost in the Vast series, it does what I hope for in a supernatural thriller novel. It was so well done as were the three other entries in this series. I enjoyed the characters and enjoyed going into this world. I hope the series continues.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

So happy to get back to this series! Once again, another great installment and even though it’s been several months since I read the other three books, I was immediately taken back and got swept away with Alexis, Cole, Dante and Austin. It was worth the wait and I enjoyed all the ghostly activity in this one. And once again, a cliffhanger! But I’ll be patient…
