Since I first came up with the idea to write a murderous Snow White retelling, I knew that this was going to be something special. I have poured everything I have into this book and couldn't be prouder. I hope you all enjoy it!

I adore this book.

There's no sappy, saccharine happily ever after in this retelling--this is a visceral, gripping tale about Snow White getting her revenge. There is nothing more satisfying than watching Snow empower herself and bring karma crashing around the ears of everyone who ever wronged her. Is she a good person? Hell, no. Will she make a good queen? If by "good" you mean "powerful and terrifying", then sure. But are you rooting for her anyways? Absolutely.

I have had the good fortune to follow Patrick since the beginning of her career, and every single book is leagues better than the last. FALLEN KINGDOM is Patrick's best work to date, and it is as witty, entertaining, and action-packed as anything she's ever written. With all her flaws and struggles to balance morality with personal satisfaction, Snow is a deeply nuanced and entertaining character that manages to be intensely relatable despite her best efforts to be an irredeemable villain. Her arc throughout the story is a slow burn, but by the time the book ends, the reader can hardly recognize who she has become. It is a delight to watch a character develop in such a rich, subtle, and realistic way.

Patrick has once again impressed me beyond my highest expectations with this dark retelling, and I highly recommend it for any reader who wants something fast-paced, devourable, and emotionally gripping.

Q: What would you do to punish those who hurt you the most?

Snow White has blood on her hands. But she’s only just getting started. After being betrayed, beaten and having her whole life destroyed, the princess decides the time for being a victim is over. Her stolen crown is waiting for her. But first, she has a score to settle. Her list is growing. As bodies pile up, so do the secrets. Who can she trust? Snow White is done with fairytales. This is her deadly ever after.

I had the absolute honour of reading the arc for this book and I am so thrilled for this opportunity. I absolutely adored this retelling of Snow White and I loved all the characters. I must say, book boyfriends beginning with A are literally the best ones. The story follows a list of people who need to die and also follows Snow in getting an ending that she deserves. If you’ve read the mindf*ck series, it gives the same vibes as that but make it fantasy. If you loved that series you are also going to adore Fallen Kingdom which is out at the end of this month (I’ll add specific release date when it’s announced) but honestly as soon as it is released you should read it because it is definitely my favourite one from Abby so far! 5/5 stars!!!

- Another great book from Abby. The plot, the story, the characters: it is really great.
- I love reading retellings of children's story's because it shows how twisted these characters every child loves could get. And here you see the dear, innocent snow white go on a killing spree.
- The development of the story and characters are really good and well done and I am really excited to see how the rest of the series will go and how more can the characters change and how the new characters gonna be like.
- There was some small scenes where I was like "uhhh why she said/done that" and it felt like it was written just to get the story to where it needs to go but it doesn't make the book bad, just the parts and when the story reaches where it should be, it works.
- There are some plots left open for the next books. So I am excited how the story of those characters are gonna go.

Going to start this review by saying this book was just brilliant. Completely blew me away from the first chapter. Which might I add, is the perfect first chapter. Throws you right in the deep end with dark vengeful murder from the off and I loved that. It set the story so well. I couldn’t wait to see what else was going to happen.
And that, if you haven’t already guessed, also blew me away. I loved every bit of it. The plot, the characters, the twists and the secrets, and so much more.
The atmosphere, as with Abby’s other books is perfect too. I definitely felt like I was right in the middle of the story without any over descriptive texts or long explanations. So it made it such a fun fast paced story to read. And I cannot wait for more from Abby.

I can’t recommend this book more if you’re looking for a completely different take on a Snow White story. One that’s full of revenge and murder, with a dash of romance too.

Huge thank you to Abby for letting me read an early arc of this amazing book. This didn’t sway my opinion in the slightest. I truly loved this book.

The one thing I absolutely love about Abby’s books is that you get fully immersed into the story. Every sight can be pictured as clear as day as you get lost in the words that, seem to become, a reality. You always get transported into the world and this book is no exception. There was never a dull moment, every sight, sound and feeling can be experienced I cannot wait for book 2 of the series!
I loved the references that tied the story together with the original Snow White, very cleverly done, and the ending was perfect! - Long Live the Queen!

Omg wow! I was not expecting this to be so good. I was fully invested in the story.

Snow’s character was so good! The development thought the book really made you connect with her and understand her feelings.

I love Aiden, he’s so sweet. I really enjoyed learning about Snow and her character through Aiden also learning it.

Aiden and Snow’s banter was so good. I was laughing throughout the book. Such a good love interest and omg the one bed trope. Stop. I’m deceased.

I honestly can’t wait for more books similar this one.

THIS IS TRULEY AN INCREDIBLE BOOK!!! It is smart. It is brutal. It is beautiful. I felt immersed in the world, connected to the characters and totally powerful. An actual gem, I am in shock that I'm not seeing it everywhere. Give it a read if you love some feminine rage. There are not enough stars to rate it. Magestic!

An amazing read that engrossed me immediately.
Through the wonderful and visceral storytelling, I found myself fully immersed in the world and the tale of Snows revenge, finding myself unable to put the book down and losing myself reading until the small hours of the night.
