One night. That’s what I demanded.

I had every intention of using her body for my pleasure. To make her bow before me and satisfy all my carnal needs.

Then destiny intervened and revealed a deadly truth—the forbidden Rose, the princess of the last Fae realm, is my fated mate.

For a brutal Sváva Archangel like me, that changes everything.

Despite my raging lust, I must keep her away from me, so she won’t be broken.

But I’ll ensure everyone knows she’s MINE.

I don't even have words for this. It's so unromantic. It didn't even keep me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't wait for the book to end.

Started out slow and hard to get into. But after a break I got back into it. The main reason I’m giving it 3 stars is due to the crude language during the sex scenes. I appreciate one good F bomb but when it’s repeated over and over again I feel like it lowers the experience from passionate love to one night stand status. I also feel like the story is left unresolved- what happened to his father? Do they settle into ruling the fae together? Do they finally get to remember their previous life? So many questions but not enough for a sequel.

My very first DNF. My god the constant narration and thinking about sex, which isn’t the part that bothered me, constantly saying female and my female during those scenes and after they finally slept together it was all they thought/talked about. There’s a war and people are dying. The plot seemed to get completely sidelined and became an after thought once they slept together

A fight between good and evil. One trying to destroy the world, something they've done before, and one trying to save it. A species who believes they are the ruling power and not only want to take over a planet but also completely destroy it, all for the power each world holds. With the power of their own weapon, Forbidden Glory, and the most feared warrior, Seth, taking what they want has never been difficult. A princess, Rose, who is willing to sacrifice her life if it means beating back the Svava and saving her people from this horrible fate. They believe she is the only thing that can save them, and the one the Prophecy has talked about as having the Earth's Magic, even though she feels no such power inside of her.

The story in unlike any other book by this author. It has almost a dark flavor to it that teases your senses and keeps you guessing. Rose is strong and wise beyond her years, I actually had to keep reminding myself that her character is only 19. She's not given to flights of fancy, and everything she does is done with only one purpose - saving her people. Seth is dark and brooding, and his reputation keeps everyone from getting close. Their chemistry is crazy intense, and the slow burn aspect only makes things hotter. It reads similar to a high fantasy, with some steam added as away to flavor that fantasy. Another thing this author is exceptionally good at is her world building. It's expansive and makes it feel like you're not reading a book, but living an adventure. The level of danger, suspense, tension, twists and turns, hidden secrets, enemies around every corner, and overall flow make it almost impossible to put down. The danger Rose and Seth are in, which is only made worse by their natural connection, puts both them and the Fae race in jeopardy. It's a fight to the end and everyone seems intent on their destruction.

Ash and Rose

I want to start off by saying this is a really good series, once I got to the last part. The author excelled at developing Seth but didn't put as much effort into Rose. All the ground work was laid and there's a lot of information but I got bored pretty quickly. There were a lot of repetitive parts. I almost didn't finish it. However, I read on through and I was very happy by the end. When the fighting really began and Rose finally gave in, that's when the story started blossoming. It became very exciting and I couldn't put it down. It is enemies to lovers. That usually doesn't bother me but it was the same thing over and over until they gave in. That's when it became explosive. I enjoyed the war they fought, it wasn't a slam bam thank you ma'am. It was loaded with action at the end. I wish there was an epilogue but I I believe it would've needed to be another book to work through what happened at the end. I'm upset it wasn't all cut and dried with Seth's father and also the worries about what the future held. We know the future is uncertain but instead of being left with it'll be a challenge it added a more dramatic future that could happen. It didn't feel like an HEA because of the doubts thrown in. There was a massive amount of sex once they consummated. I mean chapters and chapters of it. It was also repetitive with the same thing happening over and over again. Nothing different to really spice it up. So I've definitely got complaints but i did really enjoy it as a whole.

I just don’t know… The storyline started out pretty good. I feel like the MMC was not very likable, there was no romance I’ll just spice, which is fine, it just felt like that’s all the two main characters had between them. We laid in the book it threw out that they had known each other in another life that had been connected by their souls and in love in another existence, but there was no hint to that throughout the whole book. This was the first book that I almost DNF, but I have a strict rule not to DNF a book. It was a struggle to finish for me. I felt like the whole spaceship aspect didn’t belong here and felt very out of place. I understand they were traveling through galaxies and world and realms and all of these things however, I feel like that could’ve been done a different way without spaceships. It just felt awkward. The AI narration didn’t help. I probably should’ve read this one instead of listening to it, but I’m not sure that I would’ve liked it any better. I would like to read something else from this author to see if I would like something else from them.

*Slight spoiler -Read review at your own risk* The story started out good but the further the book went on the worse it got. Rose and Seth definitely had chemistry, but that seemed to be all they had. There was never a true meaningful connection or conversation between them. The author also added certain aspects at the very end that didn't make much sense. For example, we know that Seth and Rose are mates, and that Seth is much older than Rose. Then last minute they are star-crossed, and they were mates at the beginning of time and they remember each other. However, this was never alluded to or hinted at in any of their interactions. It felt like just a last-minute idea rather than one that could have been used to build their connection throughout the story. I was ready for this story to end at like 75%.

The audio is AI and gets 1 star. If I had known it was AI beforehand, I wouldn’t have bought it. It very much ruined the book for me. I’m not even usually bothered by robot voices, but there were so many oddly timed pauses and some mispronounced words that it was super distracting 🤮

Once they start having sex, they have a ridiculous amount of it that takes up chapters and chapters and chapters. Unfortunately it’s pretty repetitive with words like “her petals” that become annoying mostly because they are used so many times. And the AI robot voice totally made it ridiculous. Especially when it said clitoris as colitis. 🫣 Honestly I finally started skipping ahead through them.

They don’t really ever resolve anything with his dad at the end. Just have more sex. Followed by more sex. And more sex. 🙄

So … meh.

I honestly can’t even explain how bad this “series” was. So many discrepancies- at one point they just discover humans exist - and then they have interactions with them. The language is so gross and doesn’t fit the time period the story seemed to portray. It would was an all around abysmal attempt at a romance novel. It was basically porn.

Oh and the audiobook is read by an AI - you might as well have Alexa read it.

I about DNF this 1/3 of the way in purely based on the writing. It’s not written well but then just as I was about to quit it seemed to get better. The sex scenes were hot but the MMC kept saying Female or My Female so much it was just weird during the scenes. I ended up DNF with 100 pages left because I just couldn’t push through it anymore.

Story is okay, entertaining enough to want to keep listening to the end. 🌶️🌶️🌶️ for spice. Only complaint is that he audible narrator is horrible. Same voice is used for every character so it's hard to follow who's POV you're getting. Im sure i would have enjoyed it more had I read the actual book vs listening to it on audible.

Oh my that was spicy. Not for the faint of heart.

Story of Rose and her quest to save her world.

Complete series, read by AI voice - it read surprisingly well for a robot.

If you’re looking for a good pallet cleanser, this has enough intrigue to keep you going through the rest of the series, but doesn’t live rent free in your head.

Complete series on audible - no credit needed 11/2024

I didn't care for this book. I think part of the problem was having AI do the audio. There is no inflection or difference of sound or emotion between characters. So I got lost on when it was Seth's point of view or Rose's. Not to mention his "love" they refer to Aroma. So odd. And the way the voice pronounced certain words....drove me nuts. And the fighting was anticlimactic

This is the first book that I’ve EVER DNF, because it immediately starts out unrealistic (even for fantasy) & the narrator is AI & legitimately has a lisp with every word that has a ‘s’ in it - they make the ‘th’ sound instead. & it’s completely monotone.

Just blah. Hated the FMC. So it was really irritating to me. Did not finish. Dispite that the MMC was pretty good, as was the plot.

A great enemy to lovers book that doesn’t have you rolling your eyes as how cliche it is. It’s a real deal, enemies to lovers, coming from different realms and fighting for the same cause read.

This book would’ve gotten 4 stars from me because I really enjoyed the story. But I couldn’t give it more than 1 star because all of the sexual content. It completely ruined the book for me!

The story was good. I did lose interest about half way through and had to stop but I don’t like DNFing books so I picked it back up. It did start picking up more about 75% through in my opinion. The ending was definitely interesting and I’m happy I did pick it back up again to finish.

I think I consumed this entire series in under a week, I listened on audible and it’s narrated by virtual voice and would be better with two narrators but still - going on vibes, I loved this.
