I enjoyed all four of the books in this bundle. The story with Eric and Lily is sweet, with some good suspense. The story with Amy and Matt is interesting, because it deals with a widower trying to figure out whether he can ever love again. The story with Nikki and Mike is a lot of fun, and the background with Mike's manipulative campaign manager is interesting. The final story, with Jake and Tessa, was good, but probably the weakest in the set. There isn't a lot of communicating between Jake and Tessa, and a lot of their angst could have been avoided if they had just been honest with each other. As with the first four books, Hope Falls is a great location for love. It's nice to have book clubs and basketball with some of the earlier couples. Definitely recommended if you like small town romances with quirky characters and spicy love scenes.

I found myself skipping Nikki’s story. Perhaps I just couldn’t get past how her character was portrayed in Amy’s story. Everything else was great and do not feel like I missed anything by not reading that once story.

I loved this series! Melanie doesn’t disappoint. I always gravitate towards family based series, because there is so much you learn about the family as a whole. Would recommend for sure!

Eric is tired of the fast paced life and random hookups. He wants something real. When a mysterious dark-haired beauty moves in next door, Eric knows he’s found exactly what he’s been missing. Lily just got the break of a lifetime choreographing for pop star Karina Black’s winter tour. She’s spent the last ten years on the move, never letting anyone get too close. She was told she was safe, but hiding from others is second nature by this time. Lily is very attracted to Eric, but is afraid to put down roots anywhere after moving so often. Eric cannot get over how much he loses control when Lily is around. He just needs to convince her to stay and date him.

Amy Maguire is almost 30 and realizes her life is missing passion. She decides to find a suitable candidate to experience passion with and finds dates online. Her dates are hilarious disasters! Matt tells Amy up front he is not interested in love, relationships, or anything permanent.

Both grounded by a snowstorm, they share an anonymous night of passion and connection, both finding what their souls have been missing. They must both prioritize and come to term with personal issues they have been putting off or been ignorantly aware of.

Tessa has always put the needs of others before herself. She cared for her grandmother, even when she could not recognize her. She left Jake 13 years ago because she believed she could not give him the future he wanted and deserved. Jake lost his world when Tessa left him. They were so very young but he knew she was his everything. He turned his confusion to action, at work and with the women. Tessa is back in town, but for how long Jake does not know. He is very hurt over Tessa leaving him.
I hate when couples/ people do not communicate. That being said, it WORKED in this setting. Jake and Tessa were very young and the miscommunications were expected. You have to learn how to communicate properly with those you care for and they did not get that opportunity.
