A beach wedding with a killer twist … Charlie Carter’s new life in idyllic Sunrise Bay is beachy keen. A wedding could be the big break Charlie’s fledgling photography business needs—she’s got all her fingers and toes crossed for a perfect day. Beautiful check. Gorgeous check.
Dead guest at the definitely not part of the plan. When the husband of one of Charlie’s friends becomes a suspect, Charlie turns sleuth again. She must use all her new detective skills to win a game of cat and spouse with the matrimonial murderer ... before the game turns deadly.
Emerald Finn loves books, tea, and chocolate, not necessarily in that order. Oh, and dogs. And solving mysteries with the aid of her trusty golden retriever. No, wait. That last bit might be made up.
The second book in this series about Charlie Carter who has escaped a relationship which turned bad to start afresh as a photographer in Sunrise Bay.
In Veil, Vows and Vengeance Charlie is the official photographer at a wedding and all is going well until someone suddenly dies at the reception. It turns out to be murder and Charlie begins investigating when she believes the police are blaming the wrong guy. Maybe there will be a clue somewhere in all the photos she has taken.
This was a fun read and every bit as good as the first book. Charlie's possible romance is progressing nicely and there are several great characters who I will be happy to meet again in the next book Blondes, Bikinis and Betrayal
A fun series. You’ll want to keep reading each book that comes out
Charlie Carter is hired to photograph a wedding and a guest is killed at the reception. Charlie can’t help but solve the crime, especially when her photographs provide the clues. A light and fun read.
Loved. Loved. Loved the 2nd book of Emerald a Finn. Description of sunrise bay is lovely. I want to be at that coffee shop in Sunrise Bay, or at the art decor hotel. Loved the characters and the persistence of Charlie. Rufus is a gorgeous addition to the novel. Love Maisie’s honesty that brought me to laughter. Have the next one ready to read.😊
Leave it to poor Charlie to end up with a bridezilla for her first wedding client, but to top that off one of the guests slumped over dead at the reception. Since Charlie never missed a chance to sleuth, she found out quickly how many people had it in for this guy. She'd witnessed a scene earlier that told her he was never gonna be in the running for Mr. Congeniality.
When Charlie worked through who she thought was the killer, she called Curtis to meet her somewhere and together they stopped another murder. I loved that Charlie's finally gonna get a real date with Curtis! His little girl seems so adorable and gets along great with Charlie. Then sweet Golden Rufus got some great news too, and Charlie couldn't have been happier! Can't wait to borrow the next book!
Who killed Ben Cassar and why??? Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Carter is a professional photographer Maybe she got a photo of the event??? I enjoyed this story and recommend the book.
