This was a book on the Galatea app. It’s called KEMORA ARCHIVES in the app. VERY good! Great story! One of the best I’ve found on the app. The character building was fantastic! Also, great side characters! I’d love to see stories of the lives of some of them. The mmc, Zavyar Velshi, and fmc, Serena Faramin, literally hated each other but it was an arranged(forced) wedding. To join two powerful families. They both went along with it, only for their parents bc they couldn’t say no or it would bring shame to the family. I really enjoyed seeing this play out. I enjoyed all the elements that we got to see of another culture. The setting takes places in the fictional Kemora with scenes in the also fictional vacation islands of Manari and Frere. So, it’s a beachy setting which I also loved. True to his word, Zavyar, the mmc, continues to live his life the way he wants. He warned Serena. She said, fine, whatever and I’ll continue to live mine. Serena had a thriving career. She was well loved and successful in her own right. Serena Faramin never expected to find love, at all, and the last place she’d EVER look was to Zavyar Velshi. Even as her now husband. After seven miserable months, with the required appearances as husband and wife, an incident occurs that is the absolute last straw for Serena. She signs divorce papers, leaves them on Zavyar’s bed and runs off to Manari, where her family used to vacation and where she lost her beloved brother, Jevon, 10 years ago.. No one has been back to Manari since his death and omg this ripped my heart out. Both Serena AND Zavyar have a lot of thinking and growing up to do- will Serena continue to carry the guilt that has been placed upon her by her parents? Will she ever forgive Zavyar? Will Zavyar grow up? Will he change his ways? Will he settle down and respect their marriage? Does he even want to? Oh I hate that this book is over. Even though waiting SIX hours is absolute torture. 5 star read!

I read this on the Galatea AP, this has been one of the best books on there. The flow was good and you were drawn into the characters and how they feel. There were moments that dragged a little and could have moved the story forward faster.
