Is this the final book of the series? Is it really? I'm not ready yet to let go of this series. But, if it is, this one is definitely an icing on the cake. Nothing beats an ending of the series with quite a steamy menage MFM shifter mating rituals!!
It has all the good quality of hottie MFM shifter romance: two possessive-dash-protective alpha H shifters, one willing (not to mention on heat) h on the run, one secluded cabin in the middle of the wood, and one willing starving reader like me.

Raven has a problem she has a stalker who won't leave her alone. He followed her around everywhere and the last straw was when he showed up inside her bedroom. So Raven takes off driving in the middle of the day/night to get far away from the crazy dude and lands in Ash Mountain shes lost and freezing she faints but is caught by Kai and Eatson when they both smelled their mate.

 Shocked and confused that they have the same mate they don't fight they are best friends. Now they gotta convince their new houseguest to stay with them forever.. they also have to tell her about shifters and take care of that nasty stakker.

I can't believe Shaw found a way to write a shifter book in a way I've never seen before. 2 mates for one woman! Wow, was it hot! What woman wouldn't want two totally devoted men all for herself?!

In case you are wondering I'll answer that question for you right away. The action is all for Raven, there is NO M/M interaction between Kai and Easton..they are best friends, no more.

I love that even though Kai and Easton knew instantly that Raven was their mate, they went slow and didn't rush her because it was what she needed. Seriously, that's dream guy/shifter right there!

I've enjoyed this series and how Shaw managed to make each story unique and all her own, but a best friends shifter menage wins the day!

Kai and Easton are a sexy, delicious duo. Raven hit the jackpot when she stumbled on Ash Mountain. These men were shocked at having the same mate but were more than willing to share and excited about the future when they accepted the idea. Raven took a little convincing but was sure about her men pretty quickly. Her stalker didn’t stand a chance against two wolves who were willing to die for their mate.

I enjoyed reading this story. I am way over the whole multiple partners wave that happened a while back. I have throughly enjoyed the books in this series so far, so I wanted to see how this one stacked up. The previous books in this series, sets up how connected Kai & Easton are, and have always been. They are surprised but, but it makes sense to them that they have the same mate. They don’t fight over her. Everything, I mean everything is about her. That is what makes this story different. That is what makes this story better and special. I am glad I took that chance on reading this book. This author knows how to write the romance, write the love, and the super special HEA, that is theirs and theirs alone. It wrapped up this series, yet, let an open door for more. A special story, not to be missed.

2 hot, alpha shifters......be still my beating heart!!

Raven is on the run from a stalker. In the middle of a snow storm, she sees what she thinks in an abandoned cabin and tries to make her way there. Kai and Easton are out hunting when their wolves scent their mate. They are both completely confused because they've never heard of 2 wolves having the same mate but neither of them are thrown off of the idea because they have always been close. Raven is, of course, completely confused because she never even knew that shifters existed. There is some drama with the stalker but, of course, they'll get their happily ever after. LOVED IT!!! I'm definitely sad to see this series come to an end.

Raven está huyendo de su acosador y es ahí donde el destino hace que se reúna con sus compañeros.

La historia es muy corta, tiene 74 páginas por lo que todo sucede muy rápido. Todo va al grano. Hacia el final del libro te enseñan qué ha pasado 10 años después.

No hay mucho más que contar, la trama es muy sencilla y está narrada en primera persona por ambos protagonistas. Se lee en una sentada.

En general, no me aburrió, es solo que es muy meh y tiene sus cosillas pero me recuerda a las historias que leía hace muchos años por eso continué con esta serie.

Protecting Our Mate is the story of Easton, Kai, and Raven.

She has a stalker and decides to skip towns to be free of him but she can’t and on the way is exhausted because she’s been driving for 2 days so she tries to run to their cabin but on the way back Kai and Easton in their wolf forms both are attracted to the scent which is uncommon but they quickly right it when they fall in love with her, he stalker catches up with her but they deal with it and finally claim her and OOF SHAW HART writes GOOD ASS SMUT. Anyways so yh. They have 5 cubs, Jon, James, Sascha, Ruby and Gio.

The plot drew me in, but oh my god, was it bad.

I understand that this story is supposed to be short and sweet, but short doesn't mean there shouldn't be description. So much of the story followed the format of, 'We did this. We then did that.' I often found myself lost at to where we were, because everything was described in one sentence.

Raven first meets her two mates after she has woken up in their home/cabin, and is somehow not panicked, even though the last thing she remembers is passing out?? After they have breakfast, she asks if she can stretch (yoga) and the whole time, the men are watching her and moaning at her, and Raven doesn't find it uncomfortable or even weird. At this point, she knows nothing about them being her mates.
And once she is told they are wolf shifters and mates, on the same day she first meets them, she takes no more than 5 minutes to process and accept it. She really only asks them to shift, and somehow she claims to seeing them in the woods earlier...even though she had passed out.

When we are first introduced to her mates, she describes a few of their physical characteristics, but we are not given their names, and have no clue who is who. I can't even remember their names and I finished the book an hour ago. The two mates are so similar, I don't know why there are two. They have absolutely no differences besides hair colour and maybe eye colour - but again - we don't know who is who.

Continuing to Raven. At some point, Raven introduces herself, and in turn, one of her mates thinks this, "I realise we never got around to introductions. It doesn't matter to us, she will be ours either way."
W0w! How romantic! How lovely to hear the man that the fmc is supposed to fall for, not care about the literal start of their relationship. I understand its supposed to be possessive and sexy, but it does not read like that.
Just like the male characters, Raven poses no characteristics at all except for her ability to do and teach yoga. And that is literally the only thing she is associated with. She taught yoga in the town she lived in before, she does yoga in the cabin, and she's teaching yoga a decade later. That's it.

And then there's the stalker aspect. I liked this aspect and it was the reason I clicked on this book in the first place, being a slight twist to a typical shifter romance. The stalker however, made no sense. I'm not sure if it was just poorly planned? The stalker was able to follow Raven to a random town after she had driven 24 hours straight and know the exact cabin she was staying in. It is just not possible.

At some point, Raven goes grocery shopping with her mates and she stares at the condom section. Apparently that was like a fucking crime, and its a big no, no from one of the mates, as he tells her no. I mean..fuck Raven for just trying to protect herself, am I right? Mind you, it had been 1-2 days at this point. But it does have my favourite line from one of the mates, "I shoot one last dirty look at the condom selection."

Now to the 'spice'. Okay, spice wasn't too bad. Not the longest or most complex scenes, and that's fine. But, how the hell did Raven go from having her first kiss to dp anal in two days??!! With 1 minute of prep and no lube. Ouch!

This was a fast paced instalove story. It starts off with the girl on the run from her stalker when she ends up finding her 2 fated mates. (Lucky right? :D)
I normally hate insta-love stories but this was actually not too bad. She actually gave them a couple days to prove to her why she should stay. She still said 'I love you' after 2 days tho hahaha

The story was short and everything went by so fast. It had a few different aspects than other shifter books I've read. Like 1- the girl finds out there shifters even though she NEVER heard of this being real before and guess what - she DOESN'T freak out, like at all! crazy right?
2- now this one was funny - they apparently can't cum until they are mated. So like - puberty and being a teenager must've REALLY sucked for them boys :D I was dying. I would've died not being able to cum until mated. like DAMN

The spice was good. I really enjoyed it :) It's a MFM trope
When they kissed she made it out to be like that was her first ever kiss.. but she obviously wasn't a virgin - so hoow? I was a little thrown by that. But I may have misunderstood

I would rate all of the books higher if I had more plot. You have all the steaminess and dirtiness and no plot. Still I wanted to read all of them. These books are quick to read and I enjoyed the time while reading.

I'm a bit disappointed that the authors decided to be lazy and write about the last two single guys out of the circle of friends got the same mate, and not each their own, especially since it's never happened before in their shifter history. I'm not really into the whole more than one partner thing and this book just continues to solidify that fact. I also wanted more of Brock, or at least the fear he was supposed to bring to the table, instead he's really only mentioned in her inner thoughts and then appears briefly (like less than a page), doesn't say anything and then he's dead. I thought maybe the gun going off would've ended with one of them being hurt but nope, not even a scratch or anything. It was all very boring as far as plot goes and it's obvious the authors were more interested in writing about them fucking her than any sort of story.

Over all, meh, it was about as good as the last one and I'm not sure if I'll look for books under either authors name as they didn't really end on a high note for me.

ok so the whole idea of shifters and mates and marking their mates is not new but this was still good.

new twist they cant cum until they had marked their mate (so virgins?). and she marked them back, you don't always get that.

liked the characters, good sex scenes.

this was the first book i read in the series would definitely read the others, but since it was new for two wolves to be mated to the same women a going to think it is a shame the others mates only get one wolf, so wish i had read them from the start although a stand alone book.

i enjoyed the book being told from different points of view.

I liked this story. It was odd for me because of the ménage thing, but it was still entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable. While this was a ménage story, it was all about her which made it feel more like a traditional romance with both of the guys trying to get to know her better. Kai and Easton were best friends and so close they were practically brothers. Raven was on the run from a stalker that kept getting closer and closer to her. The guys find Raven as she was walking in the snow towards shelter. Kai felt that Raven was his mate. Easton felt that Raven was his mate. Their wolves agreed that Raven belonged to them but they had to get her on the same page as them. There was some drama and a bit of angst but it resolved quickly. I liked their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Protecting our mate is the fifth and final (I think) book in the Ash Mountain pack series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable.
After finding her stalker in her house, Raven packs a bag and leaves town. Finding an abandoned cabin in the woods, she decides to take cover in it. Kai and Easton are surprised and shocked when they discover they share a mate.
The chemistry between Easton, Kai and Raven is clear to see and I liked them together. They made a cute trio.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

Okay, it's like this, once I finished reading and reviewing 'Growling For My Mate' book one in the 'Ash Mountain Pack' series I devoured the other four one after the other. So please over look the other 4 packed into one review.

Each boom has its own synopsis/ story line. They are all full of instalove, faithful mates, with absolutely no cheating. Yes they are super sweet. But *fans self* have some very hot, steamy sex scenes. Best if all, each book has an epilogue flash forward by a time; then a 10 years in the future.

I have enjoyed a small glimpse into the Ash Mountain Pack and would be first on board to read full blown books with these characters and more.

If you more deets that make these story a whole. Your just going to have give it a read. I promise you will not be disappointed. I also noticed after the fact this series in in a box set.

As the last installment and an MFM to boot, I was hoping it would be way better than the previous books. It's double the wolfmen, so I thought we'd be getting double the heat and double the plot, especially with that blurb. But it wasn't like that, unfortunately. Books 1 to 3 were so good, especially book 3 in my opinion. That one's gotta be my favorite out of all 5. Book 4 kinda fell off, but I was expecting a comeback with this, but it didn't. Honestly, Protecting Our Mate gives the same feels as the previous book but with a faster pace, twice the men, and an added stalker.
