A witch with the gift of earth. A demon bred in deception. An immortal world on the brink.

Cassandra
I’m weak, useless to my coven… but with so many enemies hunting us, that has to change. Even our own kind wants us eliminated because our mothers mated with other immortals.

As the only coven of hybrids, we have to work twice as hard to survive the prejudice of our kind.

But things can always get worse.

The Elder Council of witches is holding June, our true ruler, captive. I’ve found a way to save her… but my coven isn’t happy about it. They want to protect me, but if I don’t make a bargain with the demon, Raziel, none of us will survive the coming war.

All I have to do is give him… me.

Raziel
The demon queen tasked me with opening the rift between the realms of Inferna and Earth. I will not fail.

And I must deceive my mate to succeed.

She was forged in beauty and pain, her very existence testing my loyalty.

But I cannot forsake my task, not even for the female who has come to own my soul.

For I am the Prince of Deception, and the sweet witch will learn it soon enough.

Note: Terrene is a deliciously dark and steamy paranormal romance. It features a devious, cinnamon roll demon hero (but only to Cass—everyone else will suffer his wrath), and a gentle heroine who brings him to his knees. Each book in the Immortal Coven series has an HEA for the couple, but the series has an overarching plot.

Well, if you've been following my reading this year, you will know that I have been low-key obsessed with the Immortal Coven series. I'm always ready to drop everything and dive into what's next. I feel like the author has only dug down deeper into herself and brought us the best story yet.

Cass has been on my mind right from the beginning and I was so interested in discovering the true source of her pain. I wanted to understand why she keeps herself a bit apart from her sisters and where her fear of certain males came from. Well, I got more than I bargained for (in a good way) because it was no flippant thing.

Raziel is a demon prince on a mission and though he is delighted to have found such a beautiful mate, he made a deal to assist her that is really supposed to be for helping his people. When he comes to collect on their deal and steal her away, he is horrified at the broken female with far away eyes. Who did this to his mate?!

What follows was a tale of healing and comfort and building of trust that was absolutely beautiful. It furthered the series so much, set up future books and hints at the next series coming, but also.. just told a damn good story of redeeming love. Yup, I said it and that's what this is.

This of course has the author's classic chemistry and steam of previous novels, though I will say that it has deeper meaning and really was a gut punch sometimes. Because of previous trauma, there is weight to every touch and kiss. Just beautiful.

I look forward to what the author brings us next.

Who would have thought that a vicious Demon could be sweet!? But don’t be fooled, Raziel is only sweet to one person, an earth Witch!

I’ve been waiting for this couple since book two and the waiting was slowly killing but totally worth it. The character growth in this series is the best part; and the second being the smut, of course! I was glued to these pages, needing to know more about Cassandra’s backstory (which is heartbreaking) and how she overcomes it. And what better wait to overcome her shadows than with a demon with the power to control them?

Raziel, sweet but also extremely viscous to his enemies, was the best fit for Cassandra. He was patient, empathic and kind towards his mate. He also has some “demons” to deal with and Cass was there to support him the whole time.

Please check TW before reading this one!

Who better to save you from your demons than the strongest of them all?

One of my favourite books of 2022

🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

👶 ~ Adult. Read the content warnings by the author. SA and self-loading are heavy topics. But, know you are in save hands (I don't state this lightly)

🌶 ~ ? Oh I love this! 😆🥵👏👏 But the best was the healing road until we got to see those at work... 😭🥰🥵😵

⚔ ~ Since Hydrous (book 2) I've been pining for this demon and crying in a dark corner with Cass. As a quiet person, I knew Cass would speak to my soul. I just didn't know how deep, and ... oh my, it was deep
Plotwise, we know Raziel is looking for something. So, who better to deal with a demon than a witch that lives with inner ones. And who better to help Cass navigate her hell than the strongest of all demons? Specially, in forced proximity, specially when he has inner demons himself 😭
But how did we go from the darkest pit to a freaking sexy blown out carnage?

"I wasn't just afraid. I was furious."
(how this made me cry and celebrate at the same time is beyond me)

👑 ~ My sweet dear Cass 😭 you broke my heart into tiny pieces 😭 Many mistook you for weak, but you fought your beast and won. You held on to your belief despite the pain 🤯 So f* strong! (yes, she is mine and a real person in my head)
How @amara writes Cass's inner fight between love and hate was amazing. How help can be a hinder and protection a jail. How choice can be freedom and control love.
Now... Raziel, how you helped heal my baby Cass, by giving yourself voice... Love you! You can take me to hell anytime 💕

🌎 ~ Urban dark paranormal series with Witches, Warlocks, Shifters, Vampires, Beserkers, Fae, Demons, Angels, Sirens... on a world where hybrid-witches are the immortals to be eradicated! Because they are 😈 on the top of the immortal chain baby!

📖 ~ I love Amara's writing so much. I tagged the entire book! So many phrases that destroyed and healed me! Still bleeding... but at peace. Damn! How did you do it?

Lows ~ I need Eva's book ! And June, I'm scared, but why-choose series here I come!

IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD!!!!

I loved this book so much, oh my sweet baby Cass! I am certifiable trash for deeply wounded and traumatized characters healing and finding that they are stronger than they could have ever imagined. And its only made all the better when their significant other relishes in that newfound empowerment. It is E V E R Y T H I N G .

Cassandra's growth over the course of the series, but in this book especially, has just been absolutely fantastic. And I love that Amara really drives home/doesn't shy away from the fact that love doesn't just magically fix everything. Healing is a process, a very solitary one - no one can take our pain for us, after all - and while some wounds and hurts will stay with us forever, finding happiness, creating new memories, and yes, falling in love... it can lessen the weight of the bad and the power it holds over us.

Raziel is such a great MMC, by the way. The fact that this big intimidating demon is an absolute cinnamon roll when it comes to Cassandra - all the chefs kisses.

Oh - and YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU for Cass actually getting her long overdue retribution and some semblance of closure.

Also - June! AH! I'm so glad we're getting more of her! I freaking LOVE her character and I can't wait to see where we go from here with her.

In short: I adored this book. I thought it was beautifully done and I am absolutely dying for the last book because EVA! She really is my favorite.

Cass is the sweetest yet mysterious in her own way in the entire series till now, so it was genuinely interesting to know more about her and I’m glad finally all questions are answered. Satisfaction is pure joy here. Each book follows a different couple from the coven although you can read it individually, I’ll suggest reading in order to know the entire picture that’ll lead to Cass and Raziel.

Raziel is the demon prince which we know nothing about and I got intrigued by the way secrets are revealed in slow motion and in-depth with the flow of the story. Cass's background is a hard pill to swallow and you just want to rage on such depravity. There is huge character development for Cass and I applaud her for it. Romance buds in slow motion and I loved every bit of it.

I loved the writing of Amara, how beautifully she has described even the saddest thing in the story makes me a fan of the author. The twists follow after the coven unites and new questions arise in the wake of it. I hope they get answered well and satisfactorily in the next book. I am excited to know more about Eva now.

This book was just amazing !! I was waiting for Cass’s story and wasn’t disappointed. It’s always difficult for me to read about characters who suffered from abuse. Not because of this fact but because of what it makes me feel.

Cass is profoundly hurt, she’s anxious, prefers to be lonely, fears intimacy but she has an inner strength that just needs to arise. Meanwhile, Raziel is really interesting, as he has his goals, his duties but he has this sweet spot for Cass, he tries to understand her at a deeper level.
Their relationship is truly magnificent in all aspects, I loved how this book is written at an emotional level.

And this plot 😱 I cannot wait for the next book !! Eva is gonna bring some action to the Coven !!
This series is definitely on my favourite list ❤️

Terrene, the fifth instalment in Amara Rae’s Immortal Coven series was simply… beautiful. Despite being the lowest in the spice factor of the series so far (in my opinion), the amount of emotional growth and healing was just perfect and resulted in such a deep connection between Raziel and Cass.

I was heartbroken when learning about the abuse Cass, the quietest and most reserved of the coven, suffered at the hands of her father and his pack when she was younger. The Goddess really did look out for her though in choosing Raziel, a demon, as her mate. The care and gentle nature in which he treated Cass, despite his initial plans, was so sweet and he really showed himself to be a big cinnamon roll for her. Raziel knew what she needed and wanted to provide an opportunity for his mate to become the hybrid witch she was always meant to be. This is perhaps why the second act conflict was so painful.

Raziel’s betrayal, in pursuit of saving his kind, was heartbreaking, not only for Cass but for Raziel as well. He knew by following through with his plans that he was going to cause pain, and I was moved by the disgust, shame, despair and loathing he displayed towards himself through the bond. He knew he had done wrong and knew he needed to win back the trust of his mate; an amazing quality in an alpha hero.

The safe return of June was a great addition to the plot and I’m very interested to see how she factors into the final instalment - all about Eva. At the end of the book, June put some significant events into motion and announced some pretty big revelations. No doubt, Necrosis will be an amazing conclusion to this wonderful series about sisterhood, bravery, self discovery and love. After all, how could the coven not succeed with their swoon worthy and protective mates by their sides.

read cw before start the book
This review feels different to write than the others, since they introduced the character of Cassandra I knew her story was going to be painful but I never imagined it could hurt so much, the way they tell you her story, saying only the gist and leaving the rest to your imagination gives it an incredible air of reality and pain, the way they explore her trauma and all the feelings and consequences of these, how she try to overcome it, the help that Raziel provides, everything is handled admirably, I even like that the author specify that only love will not magically improve her, that she will deal with it all her life and makes accept this and herself, this makes the most realistic representation of overcoming trauma that I have read in a long time. At another point, Raziel's story is also just as painful and handled correctly as well, in essence this story is about two people with internal and external scars who support each other to overcome their past to be able to be together, and explore that family is what you make of it not always de one you are born into. On a lighter note the sex and battle scenes are getting better and better, as always the story show us a view of the rest of the coven, and as a bonus they introduce us to June as an extremely powerful witch (and I think the start of another series), her introduction, powers and plan do not disappoint, I’m waiting for the last book and knowing how the story of the coven ends and its last member without a partner gets her mate. Bonus if we get another story of june and kanen in another series

TW/ Tropes: sexual nature, explicit language, and violence. Both main characters are victims of abuse, including physical and sexual violence, themes of trauma and self-loathing, a devious, cinnamon roll demon hero (but only to Cass—everyone else will suffer his wrath), and a gentle heroine who brings him to his knees

Cassandra is an earth witch, part witch and part shifter. She is constantly battling herself. She has trama from her time with her father and his pack. She wants to grow and become stronger to help her coven. She will find she more powerful then she believes herself to be.

Raziel is the prince of deception. He needs to open a rift between the realms of earth and inferna (demons), to help his kind. He is faced with protecting his mate and protecting his kind.

They are both crazy strong and have been hurt by family.

Cassandra was a very gentle while strong character. Raziel was annoying then cute. I also enjoyed all the appearances the other couples made! 🫶🏼

This book gave me many emotions. Understanding both Cassandra and Raziel’s backstory helped me understand why they were the way they were. Then seeing Cass grow and embrace her shifter side, her which powers and forgive herself and trust others was very heartwarming to see. Then Raziel acknowledging he fucked up then fixing it was perfection🤩 Also I love seeing everyone together as a whole, like Fin doing something wild or Makhi stating that he accepts the new male into the group because now he has help to protect the coven 😭 or Willow just being Willow😭 and everyone just teasing each other is the best❤️

Best out of all the series

Wow, Cass story was the one I was least expecting to read and surprisingly the one I liked the most. I think that not having had much of her in the previous books helped a lot. In this book I was able to see more internally who she is and what happend to her. And then we have Raz, I totally fell in love with this demon. Out of all the mates, Raz is the one that has captured my heart in a big way. I loved them all, but I think it's the knowledge that he is (in my opinion) the strongest mate but the most vulnerable to his mate. He totally worships Cass. And even though I hated what he did to her, I loved the angst. This book has more angst than any of the previous stories. I'm so glad Cass is slowly healing thanks to his help and discovering the length of her powers. I don't know how to feel about June🤔 I've become a little attached to the coven members and having this witch now come in like she is all mighty and knowing all because she is the All-Elemental🙄 I don't know, I hope she ends up being humble if we do get to read her own story. Now I want to see what will happen with little Eva, that one is going to be the dead of her mate for sure😂 If you're looking for a fantasy series about witches, powers, angels, demons, shifter, warlocks, berserkers, lots of bickering, smut, battles and more then I recommend this series. Mind you, this are killer witches, so be ready for gore. Please make sure you read the TW for this book, there are sensitive subjects in Cass's story. Enjoy the wild ride; this is just starting!!!

Can't belive this series is almost done!! ☹️ In this book we follow Cassandra's story... our little earth-shifter hybrid witch and the deal she made with a Demon... to be his for a month!!
.
I loved seeing Cass find her strength, power and free her beast! I wished she unleashed her strength even more though! Like you go girl, get what is yours due! I have been waiting to know her more and understand her story and this book didn't disappoint in that.
.
Rez... I loved him, then hated him and then ended up loving him again😅. Also barbs on 🍆? Interesting...🤔
.
This was in the lower spice range compared to the sister books of the series but Cassandra's back story waranted this more tender slow burn.
.
We also get a tease of the All Elemental Witch and her next series😘. Reverse harem maybe? *squeals*
.
This is a dark paranormal romance there is "gruesome" deaths. Mentions of physical abuse and rape are prevalent in the story. Check all trigger warnings.
.
Minor spoilers:
.
My biggest grudge was that I wanted Cass Dad to die a very slow agonizing tortured death by her own hands or maybe vines?🤔 His death was to quick for my vengative soul 😅
.
I am also a bit confused in regards to when will the Elders pay for their sins or we have a newer or bigger threat arriving? With just 1 book left!?😅 or will this continue in the next series? Yes, I also want them to die slowly and agonizing 🤷🏻‍♀️.
.
If you like dark adult paranormal romance grab this series! Perfect for spooky season!

Cassandra's story is the saddest and most powerful one of the series. What she went through at the hands of her father was heartbreaking but as she heals, you get to see just how powerful is actually is.

Cass wants nothing more than to feel useful. To help the ones she loves dearly but all they do is protect her because she's "broken." And even though they mean well, they're not helping, they're hindering. But they don't see it that way. When Cass finally gets the courage to help, she makes a deal with Raziel, the demon Prince of Deception, she learns that not only is she helping her coven, she's healing herself.

When you're put in a situation where your power is taken away, you feel useless. It makes it worse when people try to help and go about it the wrong way. In order to feel powerful again, you need people to trust you enough to let you make choices, you don't need to be coddled. You need someone who listens to you, not someone who tries to fix you. You are not broken.

And that's what Cass needed. She needed someone to make her feel powerful again by listening to her and Raziel did just that. He knew what she needed by watching and he let her control the situations they were in. He gave her her power back by allowing her to choose.

This book was a gem.

I devoured it all in one sitting and absolutely LOVED IT.

The TW in the beginning really sets a sombre tone and Amara Rae works her magic in building characters we love and want to protect. She is a brilliant story-teller, pulling at heart strings and forcing you to empathise, even when you may wish not to. This book certainly was the most sombre of them all because it deals with so many different areas:

- SA
- Self loathing
- Self discovery
- Detachment
- Finding hope

But it all works in the end.

As soon as we met Cass in Book 1, its implied that she has suffered awfully at her father's hand. And at first glance the demon, Raziel, may not have been our first choice for the vulnerable, fragile heroine, but who better to fight your demons than the Prince of Demons?!

Cass grows so much in this book. She finds her strength, her voice and her faith again. She finds it at times that she wouldn't have expected, with a demon who terrifies and intrigues her beyond her imagination.

This book made my heart hurt and I couldn't write my review immediately after finishing it because I needed to just appreciate it. I loved it so much and look forward to the final book in the series!

I legit devoured this book in one sitting. I absolutely love this series, and I was so excited for Cassandra's story and it did not disappoint. I love how Amara Rae writes her characters, she does not hold back, she isn't afraid to write about sensitive and hard subjects, and she writes them well.

I think this is such an underrated adult paranormal romance series and I truly hope more people give it a chance. It's truly brilliant, the storyline is genuinely so interesting and captivating, the characters are all riveting and fun to read about, and the romance is absolutely perfect each time.

I'm a sucker for the fated mate trope, and Amara Rae writes it well. It's never boring, never super predictable, and as I've mentioned, she does not hold back in her writing, she isn't afraid to really push her characters and her readers, I love that.

If you are a PNR fan, if you are looking for a series of standalone books, each starring a new couple, but still connected to each other with an overachieving storyline, I highly recommend this series. It's brilliant, it's sexy, it's fun, it's emotional, powerful and will not disappoint.

NOTE: I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed with one of Amara Rae’s books. She consistently created unique storylines that go against the grain of what is typical for fantasy books today.
I have really been looking forward to Cassandra’s book. She has been through so much in her life, so much pain and so much hardship. I was so excited to see how she would overcome and heal from her trauma. I thought that her character was very unique. I think that about all of Amara Rae’s characters. They are all unique women who display their strength in different ways. Which I find so important, because these days there are only seems to be one type of strong woman, especially in fantasy.
Cass and Raz were great together! I felt that they complemented each other well, and made each other stronger.
I also love the diversity in this series! Until I read this book, I hadn’t realized that I had never seen supernatural creatures that weren’t white or white passing before! (Which is my own white privilege).
I really enjoyed the plot, the romance, the spice, and it made me really excited for the final book in the series, to see how everything comes together, and what I know I will be a grand finale!
The only reason I deducted one star was because I felt that the forgiveness that came after one character betrayed another came far too quickly. I felt that the level of betrayal that happened needed a much higher level of apologizing and groveling. but that is a personal thing for me, and had little effect on my enjoyment of this book!
I recommend the series to everyone I know who enjoys fantasy, it is so unique and compelling, and I just can’t get enough !

Cassandra is a half earth which half shifter she makes a deal with Raziel, a demon to help save one of her coven sisters from captivity. Raziel agrees to help Cassandra but in return Cassandra has to stay with him for a month. Little does she know that he has ulterior motives for making this bargain. Cassandra is the most quiet witch in her Coven she can’t use her powers very well, so her coven sisters thinks it’s their duty to protect her. By making the deal with Raziel she hopes to be braver.

When Cassandra is in his presence Raziel notices her scars both physically and emotionally, he takes it upon himself to help her heal. He helps her learn about her magic and how to control it. Raziel tells Cassandra that they are faded mates.
If Raziel wants to keep Cassandra in his life he hast to decide what’s more important the safety of his mate or his duty towards his family.

I loved Terrene I gave it five stars you cannot read this is a standalone you have to read the other books first because there is an overarching plot. The reveals in this book were crazy I am excited for the last two books in this series
please check your trigger warnings before you read this book.

Holy shit y’all!

I knew this one would be really heavy and deep and probably touch on some real shit and I was NOT wrong!

Cassandra and Raziel have been through the motherfucking wringer and honestly should probably be more fucked up than they are. They really are perfect for each other. Only someone who has seen and did some fucked shit could understand why they are the way they are.

This book might have the sweetest hero of the series. Raziel might be the sweetest but he’s also the one who is the most dangerous, crazy, and violent hero. Can you say cinnamon roll? Kinda burnt cinnamon roll really cause that outside is fucked but the inside is gooey sweet when it comes to his sweet witch. I couldn’t have loved him more! He’s perfect for Cassandra.

Cassandra may seem broken and you may wonder why she is even in the coven and after this book you’ll be ashamed that you thought that way. She’s honestly the most badass witch out of them all. She has to be to live after what she’s been through. Raziel has it right when he says she’s strong, she is magnificent.

Cass & Raz

Cassandra and Raziel are everything in this book! Raz knew Cass was his mate long before she did, including when he agreed to her bargain. She felt the pull, but was so disconnected because of her trauma that she didn't recognize it initially.

I love how Cass realized on her own that she continued to give her father control of her life and soul. It was a poignant moment while looking at her reflection. She resolved to be better, to change. This was a journey that didn't happen over night. We saw her bravery come and go as she fought her trauma.

Raziel had his own trauma to work through. Being with Cass changed him and he had to reconcile that with his demon nature. His resolve to help his mate allowed Cass to find her strength. She's strong AF. There is so much growth for them, both individually and as mates.

This book isn't as spicy as the previous ones, but it was still delicious when we were graced with the smexy scenes. It was more about healing for both Cass and Raz and trusting in each other.

I can't wait for Eva's story!

This book is such a standout. This was such a powerful, beautiful, healing story and that was really reflected in Amara’s writing. You can tell this was a story she was personally invested in because this was GORGEOUS. Each book really showcases her growth as a writer because it just gets better and better WE LOVE TO SEE IT!!!

Cass was such a revelation. This book proved how underrated comfortable silence and quiet intimacy is. Raziel was such an attentive, patient, and VENGEFUL partner and I love how dedicated he was to creating an environment where Cass could grow into her strength and power. Was I pissed at him for deceiving her? Obviously, but his GROVELLLLL 😩 OH-IT WAS ICONIC

ALSO their sex scenes??? Arguably my fave of the entire series because they meant so much more as two survivors coming together and finding peace and freedom in each other. And the barbs were hot as fuck don’t argue with me
I’M SIMPLY OBSESSED WITH THEM🥹🥰 i can’t wait to see what develops between June and Chaos too 👀 i was here for them

In this dark paranormal romance, Cass shows that she is stronger than she may appear to be and how everyone thinks of her, and Raziel shows he may be a demon but inside he is a cinnamon roll for his witch shifter. Cass and Raziel's story is definitely more of a slow burn, but it seems to showcase their connection in a deeper way than the physical as we come to understand both of their pasts, and the trauma both of them have experienced by the people that should have been the ones protecting them. Definitely read the trigger warnings, but I really loved getting to see Cass embracing all of her sides, witch, shifter, woman, etc, with Raziel supporting her every moment, and relishing when she takes control, and lets her choose what she wants to do, and be. Must be read as part of the series, but I really enjoyed this book with forced proximity, fated mates, slow burn spice, and the unique storyline. Cannot wait for the next one!

This is my favorite one yet! The couple in this are so cute! There is character crossover into this book, like the others. There is a slight recap at the beginning, from one of the characters, if you forgot the last book.

This one features Raziel and Cassandra. Raziel is a demon who just wants his mate and to make things right for his people. He is not afraid of bloodshed and avenging his mate. He is also not afraid of being deceitful for what is right. He is a complete cinnamon roll when it comes to Cassandra though and is so patient with her.

Cassandra is a vulnerable earth witch who is afraid of her tragic past.

When the sparks begin to fly with this couple it is EVERYTHING 😍 if you haven’t started this series, you need to. The characters are great and the world building is solid! Can’t wait for the next one 🖤

Ever since we first met Raziel I knew he’d be my favourite, I love him. A demon bad boy who melts for his mate.. what more could you ask for.

Cass and Eva have always been the sisters in the coven whose stories I couldn’t wait to dive into and I wasn’t disappointed.
My heart broke hearing the trauma Cass went through, but she was so strong, much more than she realised and I’m glad Raz helped her find her those strengths and what he did for her. He truly is the perfect mate for her.

I love where this series is headed. The build up throughout all the books has been so well written.
I absolutely adore the fact we’re now seeing almost a full coven with their mates.

This series is one of my favourites and I’m looking forward to Eva’s book next.
Also can we talk about June, I’m glad we got to hear more about her and I’m just as excited for her story too.

I had been waiting for this for a long time. The author had been teasing us with their snippets since only the beginning. Theirs is a story that should be read by all. It was just what I needed in terms of my reading mood.

Amara Rae brings Cassandra’s story like a jelly-filled chocolate bomb that dissolves slowly till you reach the jelly which then explodes with flavour. You will not realise how you reached the end if you disable the progress indicator in your kindles.

Terrene is the calm before the storm. Over a course of 5 books, Amara Rae has been baiting us with a huge fight among the immortals since Lifeblood. Terrene ends on a note that promises lots of action because the author writes good action sequences and more.

Another great book in the series

This book did such a great job of showing the struggles of recovering from trauma. All the while not overindulging in said trauma for shock value. I’m glad the book spoke on where Cass’s current mental state came from- and why she still struggled with certain experiences.

“I had avoided talking to my coven for so long. Partly because I didn’t know what to say. But also… it was too much to say. Sometimes the most difficult part was understanding where to start. So I never started.”

Even though the coven handled Cass like glass, we are shown how strong she truly is. I really appreciated her mate’s patience and care. I can’t wait for the next book!

Loved this one from start to finish!
I loved how Raziel help Cassandra flourish and how he nourished her. Their relationship was so beautiful. The Demon is so sweet but murderous when needed and I loved him so much.
Cassandra went through so much and I felt proud of her when she started getting over some trauma while also acknowledging that some of it was always gonna stay with her but she learned to managed it and not be any less because of it.

June and Kaaen, anyone? Yes please! It seems unfair to not have their story, I felt very teased by their interactions at the end. I want more!
Eva capturing an angel? Yes please! She’s the best! I honestly can’t wait for Necrosis!

First please read trigger warnings before reading this book, the triggers were still respectively done. Now onto the story I really enjoyed the empowerment that Cassandra reaches even with her very troubled and hidden past. She has kept it very close and not even truly shared that with the ones she calls family. Raziel is a close favorite of mine in this series. He struggle to reconcile his duty to his people and doing what will bring him and Cassandra closer while also making her happy. They both must make peace with themselves and their lives as a whole. Fanatically written story that will keep you wanting more.

5⭐️

I keep telling myself it’s not possible to love this series any more then I already do only for Amara Rae to release a new book and prove me wrong. Terrene follows Cassandra, an earth witch and Raziel a super hot demon she’s recently made a bargain with. In order to help her coven Cass made a deal to be Raziel’s for a month. Little does she know she’s his fated mate.

I’ve loved Cass throughout this series and have been been impatiently waiting for her story because I knew Amara Rae would do an amazing job. Cass has been though so much and watching her grow into herself in this book was exactly what I wanted. Raziel may be a villian but he shows his gentle side with Cass and putting it simply I’m a hoe for that trope so I was eating this book up. As for spice? Two words. Dick Barbs. That’s all you need to know. I’m so bloody excited for the next book and need it in my hands immediately.

Crazy!

These ladies are crazy and I kindof want to be one when I grow up! Amara Rae takes ‘strong, sassy heroine’ to a new level. And her males? Honestly, they are everything endearing about men… just to an extreme! Cassandra’s story, and outcome, were not a disappointment. I adore the camaraderie and banter between this motley band of mixups. The love and bond between the couples is transcendent. And the sisterhood!!! Yes, please!
Interwoven between the fun, steam, and violence, are true life lessons. Hard won lessons.
And victory over the echoes.

Oh, this one was spectacular. All the books in this series are amazing, and I'm still hung up on the last one with the wolf shifters, but this one, this one was an incredible journey of healing. Both characters had been through terrible trauma, and whilst there is some steam, this book rightly has less than the others as this is about their journey to freedom from the chains that can bind a person to their past trauma and prevent them from moving on with their lives and reaching their potential. Together they found themselves, and it was beautiful.
