Another excellent hot and sexy steamy read from Lexxi James's Alex Drake series!!!! What a fabulous combo of suspense, action and hot sexy dialogue that will have you on the edge of your seat! Lexxi has upped the anti in this book with many twists and turns and has brought back a few fan faves like Paco the Latin heartthrob and Alex's right hand man who I thought couldn't get any hotter but I stand corrected ! He also reads steamy romances!!!!! He never cease's to amaze me. Also one of my favorite femme fatale's Jordan stone is back with gold dusted horns and a whip with black thigh highs and when she isn't defiling a priest or interviewing new assistant's for Alex she's running gun shot on mommy to be Madison. We did learn more about this naughty girl and I will admit it seemed heartbreaking to know some of her background. This bad girl is one of my favorite strong sexy woman characters of all time! I love her lady balls and I will go on record as saying I adore her even if she's the queen of the damned!!!😂 New to this world is the drool worthy ex mercenary and soldier now turned priest father Cole Dennison!!! He is so sexy hot but he carries a lot of pain inside from losing the woman he loved and their baby and it changed who he was but all though he may or may not be one that burned down both churches he was at he's getting to close to Madison and Alex is worried the man he knew might be a threat who blames him for his wife Natalia's death and wants revenge. For Alex its just one more thing to worry about. With Madison pregnant now he's in hyper drive and he just wants to be their for her and the baby she's carrying. And when Madison goes rouge to plan a secret birthday party for Alex she learns some more of his painful past and also puts herself in the crosshairs of a killer bent on revenge and her and her unborn child's death will be the devils cut. Once again Lexxi James has knocked it out of the park with steamy hot sex scenes and great humor and one liners that had me pissing myself!!! Especially the queen of the damned one! I laughed for awhile about that!!!! Her characters are like family !! You never know what their gonna say or do, but you know its gonna be good!! To be submerged in the world of Alex Drake, is not one to be missed

Riding on the high of his nuptials to Madison, he is on cloud nine, his love for her binding, his bride basking in the glow of her pregnancy. But there is someone connected to his past, a friend who is seeking redemption for his sins, but there is something underlying, that they can’t quite grasp yet.

Madison is very much in love with her husband, she knows how to give as good as she gets, keeping Alex grounded and focused, she knows how to play, fun and flirty seems to be her style, whilst keeping it real.
Alex becomes conflicted when an opportunity is presented to him, he dislikes keeping secrets, but with reason, and when Madison goes missing and subsequent found, he has his answer.

Family, friendship and loyalty mean everything to Alex, but the readers get to see a glimpse of the man through the eyes of a child, and what his life was like, why he’s so reserved. But it’s Madison who surprises him all the more with a birthday party, one he cherishes, yet the bittersweet moment is where he’s given the most precious gift from his wife and in-laws that’ll make you cry all the more.

But nothing prepares them for the shock of their life when they discover that Madison is pregnant with twins, and life as they know it for them will never be the same again, but they wouldn’t have it any other way.

But that ending though, raises more questions than answers, only time will tell.

This story is told from different POV, it will take you on a wild ride, having you turn page after page. This book had me from beginning to end, it told a telling story, this author definitely knows how to write. This book has it all romance, humour, fun, love, family, friendship, laughter, surprises, redemption, roller coaster of emotions, drama, action, loyalty, intrigue, revenge, adrenaline seeking suspense, twists, turns, truths.

Reading this story, it enables the  readers to really connect with the characters, and as the story unfolds the readers see the development and growth from the characters singularly and together. 

And those s*x scenes were steamy, yet sensual, dirty, hot, intense, physical, provocative, it had all the pleasure and passion one would except. Alex and Madison take what they want without consequence, each giving the other pleasure they deserve, his possessive and obsessive need for control and dominance, it was off the charts and had all of the feels.

This is book 5 in the Alex Drake series and like all past books and all books from the author, I enjoyed reading this. Alex and Madison are enjoying their married life and also looking forward to a new addition. Few characters were added and some old ones were brought back into the scene. Some dramas, twists and lots of steamy scenes added to the sweetness of this book and I just couldn't put it down till I finished it. So looking forward to the next. I received an ARC for my honest voluntary review.

Just when I'm was certain Alex and Madison had finally found their happily ever after, and Jack's ghost laid to rest, Cole's demons being worked through, you flipped me over on my head thinking, No, No, No...

Wow, packed in this ever so many pages, you again made!me happy to be part of Madison and Alex's journey, complete with the totally unexpected!
Mayhem, chaos, suspense, and one hormonal wife...The Alex Drake Series has become my obsession!
This novel was so intense, I had no idea I was at the end, well I believe I was, and you blew me out of the water...

I was waiting patiently for the next book to come out in the Alex Drake Series and finally it did and it did not disappoint. This is a great Series the books pulled you in from the start and kept you in suspense the whole time definitely one of those one more chapter ...... situations.
I can't wait to read the next book I loved Jordan's character I hope we get to see more of her story next.

The Devil’s Cut? Alex & Madison and MY PACO!!!

Lexxi James has done it again...I love the Alex Drake world especially MY Paco... Lexxi brought back a few favor characters Stone the keeper of all secrets and secret missions. Jordan the bad ass ex and sex goddess, spy.military guru & best friend of Madison. Father Cole Dennison ex military seal bad ass & secret keeper turn priest. Lastly MY favorite Paco Robles that's everywhere and everything. This book had so many twist and turns it kept you on you on the edge of your seat trying to keep up.

Alex loves Madison more than he can imagine, she is now carrying his child and he must protect her at all cost. There is a nosy reporter trying to get the scoop at all times & now has gotten too close to the woman he loves. But Father Dennison comes to the rescue but gives Madison a gift, his rosary and told her you are Alex's Devils's Cut.

In the meantime Stone is trying to recruit Alex but Alex is having difficulties because they want him to give up DGI his baby, and we know Jordan is always at the right place at the right time. In her red lipstick and killer sky skyscrapers heels bad ass to the bone. Meanwhile Alex & Paco trying to find out Father Dennison end game & also trying to manage Stone. Did I tell you Cole Dennison the ex military solider was grieving cause he lost his Devil's Cut...Natalie his love of his life & she was pregnant with their child was caught in a bombing/fire and Cole couldn't save them. The guilt made him turn to Father Dennison.

Madison was kidnap and Alex and Paco was losing it all due to Alex missing another ultrasound because he was too busy learning all that Stone had to offer by giving Alex the key to finding and knowing all, but all he wanted to know was who & what his old friend had been up to Father Cole Dennison. So this book had it all, ex operatives, sex, billionaires, kidnapping, The Devils Cut, PACO, Jordan bad ass , birthday parties, honeymoons and lastly a Cliffhangers that made you rip all your nails off trying to hold on...Cole Dennison and his story, Paco is he leaving Madison & Alex and who is spying on Alex? Awesome job Lexxi James one of my most favorite authors!!!

I couldn’t stop reading this book and it felt like as soon as I started it I was done. It’s fast, fun and as frisky as the rest of this series. This is the story of the romance between Alex and Madison but as this series has gone along it’s become almost as much about all of the people around them. I love the main story but even the side characters are so well written that I keep thinking “I wonder what is going to happen to so and so?”. This whole book is like reading a jigsaw puzzle that Lexxi James has painted and then taken apart for our pleasure. She is terrific at going back and forth in time to drip clues in front of you. I love how she drops hints but doesn’t telegraph the answers and keeps us guessing till the end.
If I had to choose my second favorite thing about this book it’s the dialogue. Ms. James is in her element with so many of these characters and often they remind me of old film scenes with people topping each other and talking snappy dialogue. This is used to especially great effect when things get tense and it helps things not feel to heavy.

Once again past came after Alex and almost took his feature. Thank God he has great friends that are always there for him and his bride.

Lots of new things going on in Alex Drake's world. World of mystery, friendships, love.

Every Lexxi's book leaves you full with emotions and wanting for more. And I can't wait to read many more of her books 😘.

I just love these characters! The series thus far has been a page turner from the very start. In order to truly appreciate and fall in love with these characters, you will need to start at the beginning. If you love intrigue, love, laughter, and even a few tears, you’ll love this series. Even though I had wanted the story to continue with Madison finding out more about what Jack left behind, I enjoyed this story and the introduction of the new character, Cole. It’s been one heck of a ride thus far! I’m looking forward to what’s next in the adventures of these wonderful characters, especially Paco’s.

Omg I loved this! I've enjoyed each book in this series so far but this was so good.
Alex has to decide what to do for his future with Madison being pregnant, he has some big decisions to make.
Dramatic and intense at times I really enjoyed the fresh writing and perspective Lexxi James brings. I really was a pleasure to read and I loved the freshness of the writing.
Madison and Alex are as loved up as ever and I enjoyed that aspect of it. All the characters were fun to revisit and each played an exciting part in the story.
This truly was a great book and can't wait for the following to come as well. Brilliant book!!

This is the fifth book in this incredible series, and this is a continuation of Madison and Alex’s journey. Madison is the younger sister of Alex’s friend, and the connection between them is intense and undeniable. When Madison is in danger, Alex will do whatever he must to protect and keep her safe. This is a well written story which us action packed, with drama, romance, tragedy, twists, secrets, witty banter, and love, which leads to an easy to read, unpredictable, entertaining, and steamy page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Alex and Madison!

This is a fast pace series, lots of ups and more ups and lots of love! You will never get bored,you think you know how the story goes and then it's a complete opposite. Like you think Alex will give up part of his life but he does a one eighty but I like to think it has to do with the love for Madison. These two were made for each other,when it looks like Alex is going down a rabbit hole in his life she has a way to bring him back,with a look,words or a touch! If anyone is looking for action pact,love,thrills and a few laughs read this series, It's worth more than five stars and it won't let you down and it keeps you on the edge of you seat for sure.

At first I thought things were getting off to a slow start and then the next thing I knew I was so absorbed and didn't understand how I possibly could be finished already!

I loved spending time with Madison and Alex again in a fast paced, Intriguing story. I do want more Paco though! I've loved him from the start.

This was a well written story that lured you unsuspectingly into its trap. Theres just a touch of humour throughout to take the edge of anything too intense and you can't escape the passion of these two!

I liked the introduction of Cole to the series and enjoyed Jordan's antics. She's a fun character, you never really know what she's thinking. Or doing.

The ending - well that was interesting! The next book is sure to be a fun ride.

If Devil's Cut doesn't have you on the edge of your seat, I don't know what will. Alex's past, once again, shows up in the form of a mercenary turned priest. Cole Dennison. Consequently, Madis9n is endangered. Stone Jordan is pressuring Alex for something he might not be willing to do. The final solution is a surprising one. Also Ms James leaves ushanging by introducing an intriguing charcter in an epilogue.

Drake

I enjoy the Drake books. I couldn't figure out why I stopped reading them. Until I read this book. There is a character I don't find funny. I know there are mental issues part of it, but some of the things she does are disrespectful and the other characters put up with her.
Other than that, I loved the story. Alex and Madison got their happiness. Alex finally putting what he really wants first.

Okay, this one I found a bit "slower" ......
It was a fast read, good plot but I don't know how I feel about the ending!
I felt that we didn't get a lot of substance.

Unbelievably good.
