Can Presley and Cooper celebrate their engagement, or will a murderer derail their plans?

Presley and Cooper think a weekend getaway to Thief River Falls will be the perfect way to celebrate their recent engagement. But instead of a tranquil few days in a warm, cozy cabin Presley finds the groundskeeper dead in the snow, and the last thing on her mind is relaxing.

It’s no surprise to Cooper that she can't help but want to figure out who killed Josh Greenlee. Will he join her in her investigation or try and keep her from finding out who killed Josh before they strike again?

I reviewed the series in the first book, as they are very similar - clean, readable, entertaining. However, Presley was annoying, acting about 10 years old. Why the sheriff didn't bring her in for obstruction or interference, her sneaking around behind Cooper's back like he's her father, not her fiancee; grow up, Presley! Also, endings tend to be rather abrupt for this author; this time it was almost non-existent. The one before I liked enough to rate a 4. While not being offensive, vulgar, or poorly written, this one only gets a 2 from me.

Presley just cannot seem to avoid trouble or sticking her nose into things that she shouldn't. The plot is easily followed and the premise is finding out who killed the Hotel's landscaper and why. The answers were simple, once everything came together, but rather than tell you, read the story for yourself. I do recommend this story.

Loved it!

Very festive!

Everywhere Presley goes, a dead body turns up, she’s becoming like J.B. Fletcher LOL. And of course she can’t contain her curiosity. Some might call it nosy. And that’s a good thing, because it led to a great book! I felt the cold, I could almost taste the coffee!

Finally Presley and Cooper can celebrate their engagement and get away on a much needed vacation. So they head out to the vacation cabin in Thief River Falls. However, what is the phrase...Best laid plans...When the groundskeeper is found dead, Presley can't help but get involved much to detective Cooper's chagrin. Although Cooper knows he can't stop Presley and although Presley knows Coopers feelings in the matter, she compiles her list of prospective suspects. Will she get too close? So much for a relaxing celebratory long needed vacation for Presley and Cooper! The author once again gives us a lot of twists and turns and red-herrings which will surprise you in the end. I love this series and Presley's self-confidence. She is a strong female character in this series and Cooper respects her and knows it's her personality to get involved! I can't wait to see what Presley (and Cooper) get into next! I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Presley and Cooper head away for a weekend getaway to celebrate their engagement. Only she stumbles upon a body and there goes the quite weekend they had planned. She can’t contain her curiosity and feels she needs to discover the murder before she can fully enjoy herself.

This is book is the 16th in the Presley Thurman Cozy Mystery Series. It is a great romantic mystery filled with great characters. The author weaves the romance together with the mystery into a smooth flowing storyline filled with surprises, plenty of suspects, twist and suspense. This book can be read as a stand-alone or part of the series. I enjoyed the narrative and the witty dialogue. This is a great romantic cozy mystery worth reading.

Presley Thurman and Cooper Sands are excited to be heading out to a weekend cabin getaway in Thief River Falls to celebrate their recent engagement. Their last “vacation” had been a few years ago and had turned into a murder investigation, so this one would be so much more relaxing! Instead, they end up finding the body of Josh Greenlee, the groundskeeper -- and, of course, Presley can't wait to track down the killer to solve the case! She quickly has her list of suspects started and is ready to start sleuthing!

Cozy mysteries are almost always fun events! The characters and story line were interesting and kept the reader engaged in finding out what happened. Grab your copy and see if Presley is indeed a capable detective and able to ferret out the clues!

Another fun read is provided to us by this author, in this installment, Presley and Cooper are finally together to celebrate their engagement! But of course, why would this go without a hitch? A scarf in a snowdrift starts the mystery here and takes you the twisty turny adventure you've come to expect from a well-written mystery. If you haven't read the books before this, it might take you a minute to catch up, but all in all, you should be able to follow along just fine. The revelation of the murderer will certainly come as a surprise, and since I don't reveal any spoilers in my reviews, you just need to read this book to get to the bottom of whodunit this time! I received a complimentary copy of this book and the opinion expressed here is my own and unsolicited.

This series is really enjoyable. The books can be read alone or in order of the series. I would highly recommend reading the books in order that way the character development of Presley, her family, and friends can be seen.

In true Presley fashion, she could not avoid solving a mystery while on vacation. This book was a faster read and it seemed to lack a car chase, something that I have found to be a common event throughout the series.

When Presley and her new fiancé are celebrating their engagement in Thief Falls Minnesota, they stumble upon more than the holiday lights. Having been the one to find the groundskeeper's body, she feels a responsibility to find the killer. Without a shortage of suspects that have previous crimes on their record, did one of them strike again or was it someone least expected.

This was great, I really enjoyed, the characters are great I'm really liking this series. So on vacation Presley and Cooper are to spend time together but Presley finds a dead body and she can't let it go without finding who did it.
