After the death of Mori Gladius, the Champion of the Human lands, Humankind is still reeling. Belzu is on the run, and Levithus has the Sword of Alexander. With Salvos finally reunited with her companions, perhaps... this is the perfect chance to deal with one of her problems once and for all.
This is Book 7 or Volume 5 Part 3 of the Salvos web serial.
V.A. Lewis has written other books well. They were not always effective at making a person crave the sequel. This is because they explore different ideas. Salvos is an idea I don't fully understand, but I love reading and listening to it and find it more effective at raising my mood and holding my interest that the average of my favorite books. I easily group it with the greatest fiction stories of the last fifteen years (Twilight, Harry Potter, Eragon/Inheritance Saga, etc.). It is a nerd's fantasy paradise of words with both wit, simplicity, and decency enough to be read by both young and old.
Another really fantastic addition to the series, with salvos being who she always is, a combination of chaos and immense likability. The various enemies encountered throughout the story were as fun as always, incredible challenges to overcome, and really great evolutions. Like I said, undoubtedly another fantastic addition to the series, and I’m very excited for book 8.
If you’ve made it here by this point and read all the books up till now, I’d recommend you keep going. The setups are as hilarious as they are portentous.
If you’re new to the series, please do not start here. You will get less than half of what’s going on. Start from 1, it’s worth it.
One of my top 5 isekai series of the year for sure.
Idk it was aliteration trust me bro. Also this book was pretty good again. I enjoyed it. The book was nice on progresión. And fairly long even though I think I read it in one several hours evening binge
Honestly too short and had too many references to stat sheets and side stories. I still enjoy the story though. There should be more focus on Salvos. She is the main character after all, I felt like there was too much focus on side characters.
Not a fan of this one. Salvos lets an evil demon who killed millions intentionally go for pretty much no reason, and afterwards tells others that she killed it.
Still a good story, but it’s needs to be wrapping up, not introducing more useless characters. The villains are also weaker, not as evil or hateful or interesting. Some vague antagonist like time corrupters from 30,000 years ago is a lot less compelling than Belau or the Iron Company pigs.
