A dark fast read romance. Full of dangers and the mafia. I loved reading Trix’s story and seeing where it ends. Especially with how it had started. Kept me hooked right from the start and was read in one sitting. Very highly recommend for mafia lovers.

Made of Stronger stuff..
This book sucks you in right away. We are shown the life of Trix and right away get a rundown of her history. Her traumatic, pain filled, guilt-ridden history! Having been "owned" for the last 8 years, things are coming to an end. Luckily she has had her "jailer" for the last few years to help ease her mind. Finding true love was never what she was after, but with Damon, she risks it all, even if she is property of Trevor, son of notorious mafia man.
After making a deal with the FBI - she agrees to give up everything she knows in exchange for her freedom. Only when the time comes, she is quickly shoved away into WITSEC with Detective Lucas Nox - someone she has been growing feelings for since they met.
After a whirlwind of different emotions and new beginnings, Trix is tired of running. Weather she has Nox or Damon by her side, she just wants to be free. FREE. Once property of Trevor, now property of the FBI - when will it stop? When the FBI gets a leak and Trix's whereabouts are now public knowledge - the race continues and she is literally running for her life. Will Nox and Damon be able to keep her safe? What will happen when the Mafia finally catches up?
This book gave me all kinds of feels! The author did a great job capturing the struggles Trix went through while not be overly descriptive that we wouldn't want to read it, but still enough that we could empathize the horrors of it all. The heat between Damon, Lucas and herself was sexy. They saved this woman. With them, she found happiness and was motivated to do what needed to be done once and for all to bring her captive to his heels! I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one!

Wow. This story takes us to some dark and dangerous places. With that in mind, please pay attention to the author’s warning that some things in this book aren’t “pretty” or “nice” at all, and may be triggering for some readers. But for those still brave enough to take this ride with that warning ringing in their ears, strap in and hold on tight. This book starts kind of as the events of the first one are still taking place, and shifts our point of view over to Trix; a young woman who’s endured so much already in her short life. I really appreciated the way this story shows her learning to heal from the trauma she’s endured and find her ability to stand up for herself after so long being beaten down. I love that these alpha male protectors are ready to stand between her and all dangers, but are just as ready to support her when she needs to stand alone. I’ve become a die-hard fan of this author’s work and already I can’t wait to get my hands on whatever’s coming next in the series.

Trix longs to be free, but being the property of a mafia man leaves her less than hopeful that will happen. That is until she makes an agreement with the FBI to give up all she knows in exchange for her freedom. And while being hid away with Detective Nox isn't a bad thing, she's only exchanged one cage for another. Can she ever be truly free?
Trix has been through hell and back, and is one of the strongest FMCs I've seen in quite a while. She doesn't let her past or current situation bring her down and she makes sure to put anyone in their place she needs to. Nox and Damon are two love interests that perked the story up a little bit, and gave Trix some much needed stress relief via some steamy ways.

Guilty
This is one of those heartbreaking and gut wrenching stories that made me ugly cry more than once, there are moments that bring us back to a level balance…but Trix is definitely one FMC who has been through hell and lived to talk about it.
Through her pain she did find men (Nox and Damon)that she loved, but her journey is one of those that took me a while to get over!
If you love Mafia stories, if you enjoy a strong FMC who proves time and again her inner strength as well as strong character growth, then this is the book for you! This has plenty of steam, a fantastic story and is definitely one of those books you will want to re-visit!

Taken off the street at 17 Trix has loved a life of pain and violence but she has survived for 7 years and is now a dancer in a club but she desperately wants out... Now the chance has come and she's taken it... This book was a good read I read the first book and can't wait for the next one

Guilty, the second book in The Damaged Series series by D. Speaks is a Contemporary Ménage mafia Romance that will suck you right into the dark underbelly of the Mafia and keep a hold until the very end.
Trix is a survivor. Taken to be sex trafficked, she was sold to the Mafia at seventeen and subsequently thrown into a life of violence, crime and sex. Enslaved and treated as essentially a pet to one of the mafia leaders, her life was not a glamorous one. Until finally she becomes to “old” for his tastes and she’s sent to one of his clubs to perform, under the careful eye of a bodyguard named Damon. A bodyguard she soon finds herself falling for and plans are soon set in motion. However, life can’t be that easy for Trix and soon enters undercover Agent Nox to the scene and everything goes a tad bit crazy from there, ending up with Trix being put into witness protection and being forced to leave the two men she is falling in love with behind. But for how long? Because with two sexy strong men who love her behind all measures, and who are willing to do anything to keep her safe, they’re also willing to do anything to be reunited with the woman they love.
I loved seeing Trixie develop as a character into an even stronger version of herself and how her men slowly built a connection together and how they all work to overcome obstacles in their way. And their chemistry was definitely off the charts!!
Overall this is a dark and twisted tale with lots of steamy heat, nonstop action and lots of emotion—so proceed with caution if you have any triggers because this is definitely quite the emotional dark ride!

Please be aware of many possible triggers, kidnapping, sex slavery, torture, violence, self harm, and explicit sexual scenes. This was dark, really dark. A world of depravity, sex slavery and the Mafia. When I got a glimpse of Trix in book 1 of this series, I knew I had to read her story. The trauma explicit throughout, the hopelessness, the brutally, the need to escape her captivity by any means necessary, really wrenched my heart apart!
Trying to escape from the nightmares of her foster home, Trix finds herself kidnapped, used and abused, forced to do unspeakable things, her hatred and fear of Trevor like a cloak she's desperate to shrug off but his control of her and the underworld is all encompassing. When Damon is hired as her body guard, a glimmer of hope is rekindled. But the Mafia is far reaching, infiltrating even the FBI.
In this classic cat and mouse situation, Damon, Lucas and Trix get away only to be hunted and stalked. The relationship that has developed between Trix, Damon and Lucas is one of total acceptance, complete love and dedication to one another, so beautiful. Even though both the topic and content was dark, the underlying thread of hope is one to cling too and I was thrilled that Trix did, that she managed to overcome the horrendous trauma and grow into a fierce whole person, helped by 2 wonderful men, Damon and Lucas. Both characters were so real, their reactions, their deeds so true to life. And best of all is how the entire story develops and ends, in a beautiful HEA

I got this book today & had to drop all my other reads and finish reading it TODAY. Nothing less for one of my favorite authors and just like always she was on point. She has a way of telling her stories in a way that reels in readers and you live the story along with the main character and this book was no different. Trix is a character that tugs at your heart because you empathize with her fear, trauma, and hope. Despite everything she has been through in her young life she finds that inner strength to find a way out of her situation against all odds. Nox and Lucus were pretty amazing & this book had an excellent plot full of action and suspense without all the unnecessary drama going on within the love interests. Still there was plenty of drama throughout the story for those that like it in their book. I felt all of the emotions & still am a bit watery thinking about all of the women and girls living Trix's story in real life. I cannot wait to see what is in store for the next book of the Damaged series, but no rush - I'll be here patiently waiting.

This book touched on some significant topics such as the trafficking of girls even in home soil! As such there’s some dark themes throughout this in both flashbacks and nightmares so do pay attention to the TWs, that being said the author treats this topic sensitively and acknowledges the trauma and impact this can have going forward 😢
This story follows Trix and the danger her life is put in when she decides to go against those who abducted and abused her! Trix has an inner strength that continues to grow throughout this story 💪🏻💪🏻
Although she know has free one she isn’t really loving her life, until she has the two men in her life who Thame her the spark to fight and live…and these men are absolutely devoted to her and their future 🥰

This story will pull you in from the beginning. This is Trix's story and we follow her as she manages to escape the mafia after being kidnapped and held captive for 8 years. Placed under FBI protection should have meant she was safe, but the mafia will do anything they can to stop her testifying.
The way Trix's past is woven into the story is well done, you get little snippets of what she's endured throughout the story.
I loved the relationship between Trix/Nox/Damon, definitely great dynamics and love between them all. Both are ex-military and make her feel safe and protected.
Trix is trying to find her feet now she has a taste of freedom, but she's still having to look over her shoulder.
The suspense element of the story heats up towards the end as everything was starting to fall into place. I thought I knew what was coming, but nope, I was wrong, but it is a great ending and one very fitting for Trix.

This is book 2 in The Damaged series by Sparks but can be read as a standalone. Please be aware upfront that this is a dark read and may have triggers so be mindful before entering.
I found this read to be bitter sweet like the best dark chocolate - dark but addictive! I was hooked on Trix's story. I found it to be fast paced but easy to follow. Loved the strength Trix shows time and time again to overcome hardships. I also totally adored the men in her life also - even though she was strong enough on her own...I like to think most women should be strong enough not to need a man but a man should be worthy enough to be wanted by one. Anyway - great writing, captivating storyline and amazing characters. Definitely looking forward to more!

Wow, the second book in the Damaged series is absolutely gut wrenching. The storyline draws you in and drops you into Trix’s story. She was kidnapped and became the mob Trevor’s pet at 17 by 22 she was put to work in the clubs. Damon is her bodyguard that she loves and Nox is the undercover cop that she makes a deal with the FBI to get her freedom. She has to leave Damon behind regretfully. Trix is strong and determined to move on after all the horrible things that has happened to her. Damon comes back into her life after her witness protection is blown. With these two guys by her side they will protect her. I was rooting for Trix at her determination to overcome her past and gain some control over her life. Loved these characters a lot and how their growth develops. The author did a fantastic job at describing the horrors of Trix’s life. Hope to read more soon.

As the story progresses the ax catches more than anticipated when it falls, they answer when darkness calls, and the final showdown may break them all. Guilty traveled further into the dark rabbit hole started in Insatiable. In this book Reader discretion advised due to dark subject matter and/or possible triggers.

This book is the second in the series but it is very much a stand-alone as well. The characters are different and the storyline is different- there is a common denominator in the sense that both FMC faced some really dark times and terrible people.
This book does deal on the darker side of things and so if you do have any triggers be aware and read the trigger warnings they the author gives.
The book is told in the POV of three of the main characters- our FMC and her two men- and it does go from one to the other. It is very easy to follow and you do get pulled into the book. The writing flows really well and it is laid out perfectly for you to follow and picture things going on. The author obviously has done research on several bits of the book and it shows.

Let me start by saying this read has some major trigger so please check that out beforehand. With that being said I really enjoyed this read. I know it's dark but something about Trix's story really pulls you in. You can't help that this story tugs at your heart because you can emphasize with Trix fear, trauma, and hope. Despite everything she been though she finds that inner strength to find a way out of her dire situation against all odds. Overall a great read. An action-packed story of lost years, seeking freedom - not only physical freedom but regaining mental freedom as well.
Trix has to find her inner strength to regain her lost freedom. But will it be at the cost of the men she loves?
I enjoyed this book so much, as much as the first in the series, and I can’t wait to move on to the good Dr.’s story.
Read the note BEFORE chapter 1 ;) Even though I loved this story, it does have content that might be hard on some.

This one is a story with a really important point to make: don't forget the forgotten ones. The kidnapped orphans. Poor Trix lives a life in slavery but finally sees her golden chance at freedom. We watch as she slowly takes control of her life back and see the way that therapy helps her heal. I love her adoring men that just totally pamper her and protect her. The story itself was entertaining and at one point I remember fist-pumping and yelling, "SHE DON'T NEED NO MAN!" This was an easy read that I enjoyed!

This was a fast-paced read. Trix’s story was one that drew you in. Trix escaped the clutches of the mafia and found herself in witness protection - at least until she could testify against those who kept her captive.
The flashbacks throughout gave a bigger glimpse into her traumatic past, and the two good men in her life would do anything to keep her safe and away from that world. Unfortunately though, safety is an illusion.
I enjoyed this story and I’m looking forward to the next, and finding out what happened there, after the mention in this one.

This is a standalone book, the second in The Damaged Series. I was thoroughly hooked right from the start. This book is dark so heed all trigger warnings. Trix is damaged from being owned and forced to work in s sex club for eight years but she is a string and tough FMC. She has two sexy men who love her and will do anything to help her take back her life. The three of them have great chemistry. This story will definitely take you for an emotional ride. There is also lots of action and spice. I loved the multi point of view. I thou recommend this book.

This was a dark, drama filled, steamy mafia read that ticked so many boxes. The character development, world building and pace of the story really meshed well together and I loved how the relationships between Trix, Nox and Damon developed and grew. Trix is a complex and unique individual and I so enjoyed watching her regain herself and then some. This book touched on some pretty dark stuff, it was well written and the authour did a great job making me feel all sorts of emotions. I was completely engrossed in Trix’s story , I look forward to more from this authour!

I enjoyed this one, it was an emotional rollercoaster and the dynamics between all the characters were spicy and really well written. The multi POV was great and I liked how well it was balanced.
Loved the MFM romance throughout this, Damon Lucas and Trix had a great relationship and D Sparks navigated the complications, emotions and steam really well. So much push and pull and all the intrigue and agent made for a spicy read.
The plot was really good, lots of twists and turns, trauma, and drama that ran along at a good pace.

This book was beyond amazing and I discovered that once I had started , I could not put it down. It moves along at a pace that is perfect for this story, not too fast nor too slow, which made for an easy and relaxing read. The characters are amazing and you will find yourself loving them no matter what happens and the story, grabs you keeping you reading until the end. This book needs to be read, there is no doubt about it.

The story of Trix Lucas and Damon is tastefully dealt with although I highly recommend reading the trigger warnings first as several dark themes are brought up. I loved reading this book and highly recommend it. Don't miss out on this book!!

Whelp! This story turned out much different than I expected. And that’s definitely not a bad thing. I truly enjoyed Trix’s growth - she’s turned into such a bad@ss! Despite her trauma, Trix reclaimed her independence and chose life. The flashbacks is horrifying but I felt like this was explained/described well. I love Trix’s relationship with Damon snd Nox, as well as the budding friendship between the two men. A well-deserved HEA.

The trauma that Trix has gone through over the years is incredible. Although she has been beaten down and abused, she is a fighter and a suvivor. As her men help her to escape her imprisonment, they must overcome so many obstacles, but their love for eachother helps them through. I loved how Trix wasn't afraid to show Lucas and Damon how she felt about them, and the way they did anything they could to protect her. A great book.

Trix (FMC) has been kidnapped, trafficked to then be so-called owned, used and abused by sadistic Mafia boss/son - Trevor. Her life with him has been hard for the last 8 years. Only for her life to get turned around when she's given a lifeline to give evidence against Trevor.
For me at the heart of this book is the dynamic between her, Nox and Damon. It was steamy, sweet and caring too. I enjoyed reading this book as much as the first one. It was a great read

Ooof! Guilty really knows how to punch you in the gut, but in a good way. This book is so emotional, and I feel my heart breaking for MFC Trix with just all that she has gone through and still has to go through. Luckily, she has two strong alpha men in her corner, and they will do everything to keep her safe and hidden from the life she was forced to live for eight years prior. Get ready for a dark and intense mafia story with lots of action and heat filled moments!
