Mirrors #3

Mended Mirrors

Rate this book
I’m not the man I used to be.
But if there’s one woman that can bring me back to my old self, it’s her.

The last time I saw her was three years ago. We fell hard and I thought she was my forever, but she left without a word, hardening my heart to anything resembling love.

I never expected to see her again… and then she walks back into my life looking even more beautiful than ever. Tempers flare as anger and resentment tear through us, both of us saying things we don’t mean as we work through our mangled past.

I want to hate her, but the more time I spend around her, the more I want what we used to have. As the sparks around us flame higher with each moment we’re together, I realize that I can’t ignore the way she makes me feel.

Can the past be mended so that we can move into our future, or will I hold it all against her and be the one to walk away this time?

*Mended Mirrors is part two of the Justin and Madison duet. Shattered Mirrors must be read prior to reading Mended Mirrors.

**This book does deal with issues that could be triggering for readers. These include miscarriage (happens off page but is referenced), grief from loss due to suicide, and strong sexual content. Please be mindful of these before reading.

I'm not going to lie, Mended Mirrors isn't a standalone so you'll have to read Shattered Mirrors first as this is the conclusion to Justin & Madison's duet. Mended Mirrors picks back up three years later after the brutal cliffhanger ending with Madison gone from Justin's life. Madison & Justin finally come face to face again, and they absolutely hate each other so this won't be anything resembling easy that's for sure, and yet, that connection isn't fully dead. However, there's so much hurt & miscommunication between them that they'll have to actually use their words at some point if they ever want to fully heal, making the journey very emotional for me as I felt every last emotion like it was my own so my eyes went rogue. To see if these two can get on the same page again, grab the tissue & hit those one click buttons to find out as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I just finished my ARC copy and is a second chance romance story. This story is the long awaited conclusion of Justin and Madison’s story. It takes place 3 years after Shattered Mirrors . (I would recommend reading Shattered Mirrors before starting this book.)

In the story Justin and Madison are brought back into each other’s lives thanks to their friends but their relationship is completely different than it was in the past. Justin finally learns why Madison walked away from him and he learns about what Madison had be through in those 3 years. This is about Justin fighting to get back the girl he loves and Madison fighting to keep Justin away to protect herself. Overall this was a good emotional second chance romance story.

Mended Mirrors (Mirrors #3) by Norma Marie is a contemporary second-chance romance told in first person, dual POV. Since it’s both book three in the Mirrors series and part two of a duet, it can not be read as a standalone. Shattered Mirrors is the first half of Madison and Justin’s story and must be read first. I also recommend reading Smoke and Mirrors before reading Mended Mirrors because their timelines overlap and they share some scenes.

Mended Mirrors takes place three years after Shattered Mirrors ends. Madison has started a new life in a new town. After leaving, she never expects or wants to see Justin again, but an emergency with a mutual friend brings them face to face. They're both shocked to see each other and still upset about how things ended, and the results are explosive.

I enjoyed part two of Justin and Madison’s story. There’s a lot of miscommunication to straighten out before they can both move forward. Their journey isn’t easy, but it’s great to see them reconnect and find their way back to each other. Mended Mirrors is a satisfying conclusion to the duet.

Mended Mirrors is part 2 of duet which the book Shattered Mirrors is book 1 of the duet and is a enemies to lovers second chance romance.

This book picks up 3 years after Shattered Mirrors ended. Madison left Justin without a word and Justin never expected to see Madison again. Until they run into each other and they hate each other but they can’t let go the love they had all those years ago.

I recommend reading the first book of the series Smoke and Mirrors too since it’s very a very interconnected series. I read Shattered Mirrors but I didn’t read Smoke and Mirrors. Smoke and Mirrors follows Natalie and Lucas and their love story. They are not in Shattered Mirrors, but are in Mended Mirrors and I feel I missed out on some of the impact of the story for not knowing the full history of Natalie and Lucas. I’m glad Justin and Madison finally got their happy ending I just wish there was more emotional buildup. Justin and Madison’s physical relationship went from zero to 100 and they spent a lot of the book being enemies. This is a good story and glad it had a happy ending after the ending of Shattered Mirrors, but I would recommend reading all the books of the series prior to Mended Mirrors.

“That’s where your wrong, angel. Everything about you belongs to me. Your sighs, your gasps, your laughs, and especially your orgasms. They are mine, you are mine, Madison.”

“Love doesn’t make the world go round. Its what makes the ride worthwhile.”

Well I have to say that this was worth the wait.
I have been waiting for the rest of Madison and Justin’s story for what feels like forever and the ending does not disappoint.
After Madison experiences the worst day of her life she flees to Boothbay to start a new life but then Justin comes storming into her life like a hurricane on crack. They hate eachother for what happened but can love and family drama keep them apart.
Norma Maria finishes this duet up with all the feels and emotions. I takes a lot for this reader to cry and I did that a couple of times in this book.
Plus the spice is on par with two people who are destined to be together but life keeps throwing that curveball.

I’m going to start with the bad. I have never in my life yelled at a book so much. If I could have physically slapped the characters I would have. So much miscommunication. So many secrets. Why can’t people just be straight up?

The good. I love both Justin and Maddison and I’m so happy they got their hea. They’ve been through so much and they were apart for so long. They deserve their happiness. No matter how long they were apart or their pov of why things ended, their love held and that’s beautiful to me.

I would def Rec this duet. The characters are believable. The love is real and you feel all the feels. It’s a rollercoaster of emotion.

(Side note, her father was still a POS. I did not care for his wife bombarding Maddison and guilting her into going to see him. There are always consequences to peoples actions and nobody is obligated to see anyone just because of blood relation.)

(ARC REVIEW)
Mended Mirrors was a second chance at love that caused me to shed few tears. Please read the reviews and make sure you read Shattered Mirrors first because this is a duet. If you want you can read the series in this order instead of the way the series is suggested - Shattered Mirrors, Smoke and Mirrors, and then Mended Mirrors. Regardless of how you read them, Norma still did an amazing job.

Justin and Madison had history and trust me their history was not something I wish upon someone. The three year gap didnt end their love for each other. Their struggles felt real. Is there a hea? Of course but their battle to get there was heartbreaking. Secrets work against you. Unanswered questions hurt you. This book truly painted pain, and real-life struggles, but was still beautiful. Make sure you have tissues though.

Mended mirrors is the third installment in the mirrors series by Norma Marie. In order to read this one, you must read 1 & 2. Not meant to be read as a stand alone, this is the duet to shattered mirrors (mirrors #2) where we continue Justin & Madison’s story but it’s also intertwined with moments from Smoke & Mirrors (mirrors #1).

•contemporary romance
•enemies to lovers
•second chance romance
•dual POV
•some spice
•pregnancy loss
•family/sibling loss
•Alzheimer’s
•HEA

Mended mirrors is the conclusion we needed after being left with a cliffhanger in Shattered mirrors (mirrors #2). Norma has done it again and sucked me in from the very first page. I devoured this in just a few hours. This was a perfect conclusion to Justin & Madison’s story, it gave us the answers to questions we were left hanging with along with a rollercoaster of emotional ups and downs this couple and Madison herself has/does face. I don’t want to give away to much of the story, but I felt the series in whole was well written, relatable to real life problems that couples are faced with and a must read. In the end, we get the HEA we’re all routing for.

I received this free copy as an ARC & am leaving my voluntary review.

Let me just say that Covid couldn’t even stop me from finishing this story! Omg to say that I am thrilled with this book would be an understatement. First, I was so in love with the strength and determination that Madison found. To see her character no long be so broken and lost was amazing. Justin was a bit of a jerk for me in this book but definitely redeemed himself in the end. Our supporting cast for the story was also absolutely amazing and I love the dynamic between all of them. I literally went through every single emotion with this book including yelling and crying. The story went nothing like I thought it would but I’m so glad for that. The ending was absolutely beautiful. I would not be mad if somehow there was a book 3 LOL

OMG, the Mirror series continues with book three. Justin and Madison’s hard won story wraps up remarkably well. After the ending from the first half of their story I have been waiting impatiently for this book. I love Justin and Madison’s characters as they take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride in this book. The misperceptions between these two had me glued to the page, wondering when are they going to clear the air about the past. All the hurt and pain they go thru is heartbreaking. I am glad Madison and Justin heal and find each other again. Loved the Epilogue. Best scene ever to end on.
Highly recommend this book and the series. Norma Marie has become a favorite author and can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

This book is not a stand alone you do need to read Shattered Mirrors first but you won’t be disappointed. Madison and Justin’s story picks up with a ton of angst and miscommunication. At some points I simply wanted to bash their heads together! There were points it felt a bit slow but didn’t distract from the story. Honestly, I really wanted Justin and Madison to just hurry up and start actually talking so much it might have simply felt slower than it is (I was that invested in the two of them) It is definitely slow burn with just a little spice. I adore all of the characters and hope to see some more of the side characters! I received an ARC and am leaving this review voluntarily.

The HEA we’ve all been waiting for! 😍

Justin and Madison’s love story was hard-fought and worth the wait. The second half of this duet dealt with a lot of pent-up anger, confusion, and misunderstandings. Watching them overcome their harrowing obstacles on the journey to a HEA was absolutely beautiful. Norma absolutely DELIVERED with this emotional conclusion to the Mirror series. I can't wait to see what this author has up her sleeves for the next series.

If you're looking for a story that will put you through an onslaught of emotions, pick up Shatterd Mirrors, then follow it with Mended Mirrors for your next favorite reads.

Justin and Madison!!

What a ride! Madison and Justin are a tumultuous mix of heartbreak and things left unsaid. They’re two strong personalities filled with pride and raw emotion and they fought so hard for their happily ever after.

‘Need me so badly that you can’t think straight.’

In book one, I loved the passion and intensity of their relationship. In book two, I loved the fire that could not be put out between them.

This story is definitely a rollercoaster but the ending is totally worth it! Get ready for all the feels in the conclusion of Madison and Justin’s duet!

Norma absolutely blew me away, again! We finally get to have Justin and Madison's conclusion to their love story in our hands and it is EVERYTHING I wanted it to be, and so much more! The tension, the angst, the heartache, the misunderstandings, the love, the teamwork, the fear, Norma does an incredible job of putting her readers in the moment and engrossing us with her storytelling abilities. Without spoiling anything for you, I just want to say, prepare yourselves, grab tissues, a fan, a drink, and buckle up. This is one ride you'll be overjoyed you went on! See y'all on another page!

I got an ARC of mended mirrors and let me just say WOW! This book gripped me from the start. It’s an emotional ride but so worth it. The ending is beautiful and perfect. This book had everything in it. Tension, angst, misunderstandings, heartbreak, fear, emotional pain, healing, and love. Norma does an incredible job of handling the tough topics and making her readers feel everything. Prepare yourself for this emotional journey that rips your heart open and knits it back together. I promise it's worth it!

*Make sure you start with Shattered Mirrors and read all the Trigger Warnings.

I was given an ARC copy of this book.

At long last I received the conclusion to Madison and Justin's story. Oh the feels! These two have a complicated history, splashed with some miscommunication, but tons of chemistry. It seems to me that fate had a bit of a hand in bringing them back together in a new location, and oh boy am I glad it did. Without giving too much away, there is a lot of things from their past to work through and Norma takes us for that ride brilliantly. I loved their story. I loved even more that these two deserving characters got their HEA.

This book picked up a few years after where the last book stopped. It has some triggers so beware before reading.

Again, the tension. 🤌 I swear Norma Marie is queen of tension and slow burn.

Justin and Madison get their issues fixed and once they make up it is 🔥🔥

This is such a great, sweet, and fast paced read. A great palette cleanser for those who love dark romance but want something lighter!

We finally have the conclusion to Madison and Justin's story. Definitely worth the wait. We hear the story from both sides. Poor Madison has trauma after trauma hitting her. We get an ending to the story, but is it the ending that you want? Read to find out.

Wow, I was not expecting this story to hit me the way it did. I was not sure what to really expect after the end of Shattered Mirrors, and starting Mended Mirrors through me through a loop I didn't see coming. I loved the push and pull of these characters as they worked through their feelings and processed all that happened. What a beautiful story!

Mended Mirrors by Norma Marie.
Oh wow what a way to conclude this amazing story. Oh wow I had an inkling that Madison’s and Justin’s story was going to be a very emotional one and I was right. I however don’t think I was prepared for it. Madison has been through a rough life so it is very understandable that she has this guard up and i no’s not very trusting. Her parents well they don’t deserve those titles because parents they are not. Then there is Justin to the average person looking inn his life seems perfect he comes from the perfect family with a perfect life. But looks can be deceiving and not everything that shines is gold. This author knows how to grab you wi note her writing and transport you right along with the characters.
It was an amazing beautiful emotional love story and I loved every second of it. After the heartbreak they both experienced they once again come face to face unexpectedly years later. There is so much pain and hurt between these two that it is hard for either of them to let their guard down. There is secrets that I will not say because trust me you will want to read to find out but it is so worth it. It was beautifully written and it was all I wanted it to where are you be. Highly recommend.

perfect

I love Justin and Madison. They have a sad story for sure but the ending is amazing!!! I didn’t want to story to end. This doesn’t take from the story at all, and it’s just my personal preference, I would have loved more moments with them together. Putting the 2 books together for them does give a great story though. This is one of my favorite series!!!

wonderful conclusion to this duet

This was a wonderful conclusion to Justin and Madison’s duet. Book 1 ended in a crushing cliffhanger and the remainder of their story was just a difficult. Madison had so much she needed to work through to get to a HEA and Justin did everything he could (knowingly and unknowingly) to delay it! At times I wanted to smack both of them and other times I just wanted to wrap my arms around them and squeeze them.

Such a rewarding and emotional HEA 🥰
