This issue is a bit different from the previous ones. The story follows two teenagers, Richie and Jan. Jan is pregnant and Richie is dropping out of school to work as a money collector for a drug dealer. When the son of the chief of police of the town they live in steals 10.000 dollars from Richie, him and Jan need to find a way to make that money back to repay the drug dealer he works for. So, they decide to start making torture and murder videos and sell them on the dark web. Quickly they realize how much they love doing that, so it becomes their new "job".
I enjoyed this issue a lot and I also enjoy the fact that almost all of the issues of the series so far are stand-alones. This makes it way easier to read them individually, as single issues (that being said, I'll probably get both tpbs, when the second one is released and I'll reread the whole series). This issue starts with the police finding two dead bodies that seem to belong to the Punkinz (Richie and Jan) and is narrated through what seems to be a suicide note. This framing device works very well and it leads to an incredible plot twist at the end. Futhermore, both Richie and Jan are very well written, interesting and complex. Even though they kill and torture people, Ed Piskor somehow manages to make them seem likeable. Moreover, this issue truly shows how incredible the world building of this series is. Ed Piskor has created a violent, twisted world that somehow seems very real.
