He’s the monster in the cage. I’m the girl who never runs.
I’m the alien's cleaner. The abductee who has to do their dirty work to stay alive. My latest job? I get to play nurse to an injured seven-foot alien with a wingspan the size of a small aircraft and an attitude problem. Lucky me.
We’re both captives and our captors have made it clear they would like us to ‘get closer’, something which is only ever going to end with trouble.
But when your cell mate is devastatingly handsome, built like a Greek god, with liquid dark eyes you could drown in, and he makes a nest for you…
It’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it, right?
Just as long as I don’t fall for him. Because, for me, love really does spell trouble with a capital ‘T’, whatever planet I’m on.
Fury is the second in the Elite Rogue Alien Warrior series from Hattie Jacks. Lauren and Jay's story will scorch a path across your heart and heat you up in all the right ways. Featuring nesting, bathing, and all manner of spicy fun, this is a book you don't want to miss. For mature audiences.
Jay and Lauren's story was full of angst, love, doubt and pain. I don't know who needed saving more Jay or Lauren. Both characters went through so many emotional rollercoasters.
Lauren who was already a prisoner on a Drahon spaceship who was deemed not worthy enough to be sold but good enough to be a servant.
In "Storm" we read where Jay was drawn to the Drahon ship because he caught wiff of an intoxicating scent. Jay separate from his unit and ends up getting captured and held as a prisoner on the Drahon ship. This was a Blessing and a curse. A blessing because Jay found his Fated Mate; a curse because they were both being held against their will to be used in the Drahon Alien's plan.
Jay pitied himself and thought that his unit perished in an explosion that occurred shortly after he went to the inspect the abandoned ship. Jay thought the absolute worse about himself throughout this book. It was absolutely gut wrenching that he couldn't see that he was a good Gryn Warrior worthy of Love. Lauren was also insecure and didn't trust me due to her past.
Jay and Lauren not only saved but healed each other. While helping Jay heal from his injuries Lauren also gave him purpose. Jay took every opportunity to prove that he was a worthy mate. In the same token Jay proved to Lauren that she was beautiful and worthy of Love. Jay and Lauren had to take a long journey to get to their HEA but neither one was willing to give up and fight for the love they both deserved.
I can't wait to see what's in store for the other Gryn Warriors.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was better than the previous book, with more resolution of issues between the MCs. However, it got a little obnoxious how often Lauren compared Jay to her ex. Also, what happened to the sweet tender Jay from the previous book? Ok yeah, I know he got kinda broken for obvious reasons but I’m still so bummed.
This book was going really well until the author decided to drag out the storyline instead of ending it with a nice conclusion. Create angst and throwing in extra emotional baggage the the H/h as grown adults should have been able to work through. The the h decides to not tell the H about her pregnancy and the H doesn't notice a bulge even though the book describes it as noticeable. The h starts are self reliant and sparky in the beginning with a little backbone but toward the end when she needs to put up a fight to protect herself and her unborn child the author writes her as a weeping emotional mess to the point she's ok with allowing the villain to use her unborn for nefarious reasons. She just gives up. And then the H gets in his feelings and just walks away leaving his supposed mate and heart that is carrying his offspring to the evil mastermind. He just gives up to. A supposed strong noble honor bound warrior with sharp shooting skills. All for a couple more chapters. Not interested any continuing this storyline. Didn't have it in me to finish the last couples chapters. And I always finish a book.
I really like the world built for this series. I also really wish that more care was taken with the details. Because nothing pulls me out of a story faster than…
“Flight still alludes me…” — It’s eludes. Flight eludes me.
“…under cover of a large a dome.”
“…and eyeing my carefully before…”
But there are lines like this, that are just so entertaining and descriptive…
“Lying on him is like being on a muscular, cinnamon-scented hot water bottle. A deliriously handsome warm beanbag of deliciousness.”
Sounds lovely.
This installment is about Jay, the sniper, and Lauren, the abductee. It helps that he remembers, “Human females like being called by their names.” Yes, oddly the women in alien romances rarely complain about being called “female” or “woman”!
I think my favorite part of these winged heroes is their desire to “nest” - it’s sweet and hilarious. And sweet.
“Lauren rolls her eyes. “Could you nest without shredding the soft furnishings, perhaps?
I look at what’s available. The two squashy lumps. I pick one up in between my claws, put it back down in a different position, then push it around a little until I’m satisfied it looks right. Then I look up at her for her approval.
“That’s perfect, just perfect,” she says, her mouth pursed up strangely.”
It’s heart-melting.
They’re captive and he just can’t help himself.
“…but I’m hoping she’ll like what I’ve done with our nest.
“What. The. Fuck.” Lauren stops dead as she enters the bedroom. I stand behind her proudly. The silvery covering made ideal nesting material. I have strung it over the bed, and a slight breeze from somewhere makes the thin strips flutter like feathers. It turned out that the strange squashy lumps were full of a downy, fur-like material, and I’ve been able to spread it out like a proper nest. “Our nest, my mate.”
I just love it.
“It’s Jay or bust.”
Yes. It. is. But I also like the heroine. She’s not 24. It’s awesome.
Can’t wait for Chaos. Two heroes with four…well, read it yourself.
Oh dear sweet dirty talking Jay…. ***** Rating: 4 stars Steam: 3 flames Genre/Tropes: Alien/Sci-fi romance, Alien Abduction, Fated Mates ***** The conclusion of Storm caused me some serious shock. When the Drahon ship lifted off, Jay, an Elite Warrior and all-around badass sniper, was on board!!! OH NO! Now we get to see what will happen to Jay! It appears our mighty warrior will be held captive by the Drahon for some time because the Elite warriors ship needs repairs before they can go after him.
Lauren was taken captive by the Drahon, and because they consider her to be weak and unworthy, they have not sold her. Instead, they force her to do their dirty work, which includes shoveling gak and anything else that is beneath them. Imagine her shock when she is informed that she will be responsible for caring for the new alien prisoner.
Their quest to find both their escape and maybe love is going to be filled with danger. Jay and Lauren have some SERIOUS trust issues, secrets, and other things to deal with in order to escape and maybe, just maybe, find happiness.
Once more, the plot is interesting, the world-building excellent, and the characters will capture your heart. This was another wonderful book in the series, and you can be sure that I will keep reading... The following two are Ayar and Vypr... I can hardly wait to find out what the future holds for these two! Happy reading y’all!
This was such an emotional read for characters that thought they weren't worthy. Thankfully, they were both determined to show the other they definitely were worthy of love and that determination did a lot of healing. Of course, their journey wasn't simple, or easy, as it was filled with a ton of action, danger, suspense and twists. All that, though, was balanced out with a smoking hot romance and I really enjoyed the reading ride. I can't wait for the next book :D
Kidnapped from Earth by Aliens. Evil aliens taking people from a place they shouldn't. Taking them for their own gain. Then taken again. These women find themselves in a nightmare of alien creatures who treat them badly. Being rescued by clawed, winged, fanged alien Angels. Can they be trusted?
These alpha scary beautiful warriors are looking for a better way of life, a life free of slavery, tyranny, and dictators fighting a war they hope to one day win. It is amongst this hostile enemy that encounter the fated eregri. A place where woman have not been for a very long time.
Is what I think of when I read this book. I love the concept, outline but it needs work. There were multiple parts that illogically and abruptly switched scenes or situations. Her sudden switch from being unreasonable hating males to being hot for the alien, did not buy it. Frankly I was not a fan of her ranting and suspicion of all males because one cheating human male experience. Reminded me of done me wrong country songs. As I read more of story the whole IA gone rogue, no winged females, etc did not gel. Felt like the outline never went further. I get stuck on details, logic so this was a negative in the story. Not to mention no way would most human women be happy with a nest of different items instead of a regular bed, and only a bathing room? What about a kitchen, kids room, and how do they get out of the place when their mate is not there. Many more logical issues. Lastly, and I know some woman might disagree with me. The penis the size of a horse? And that is just one? Sounds like that is a male old porn dream not a human woman. Hope the author gets some research done on realism and taking outline of a world, etc and making it logical.
Anyone who tries to get in my way, they will feel my fury.
Wow, this one burned super hot, super fast, but I found myself a little bored in the middle.
Jaye, a Gryn warrior, is taken captive and is severely wounded. The Drahon, croc-looking aliens, want to "tame" him to sell but Jaye is suspicious of everything they say and do. When he meets Lauren, a human, he knows that they are meant to be but guilt and captivity weigh heavily on him.
These two burn hot and heavy for each other but both have a LOT of baggage that gets in the way.
***Spoiler Alert*** When Lauren is forced to care for Jaye's injuries, they start falling for each other which unfortunately is all part of the Drohan's plan. They want to exploit Lauren and get their hands on a youngling.
Jaye exposes their relationship when a nasty trick by the Drohan puts Lauren's life at risk. Even with his tearing apart of not only the base but the creature that attacked her, Lauren has abandonment and trust issues, not believing that Jaye truly feels the way he does.
When escape becomes the most important thing, a Kijg, a cousin to the Drohan, sabotages the security field keeping Jaye grounded. After bearly making it out, they run into a band of Kijg that happens to be kin to the one that helped them escape.
That's where it started to lose me. While walking, because of Jaye's injuries, they fall into a long-lost lair of the Gryn. There they are able to advance their relationship and message Jaye's old team. Turns out they didn't get blown up. Them or the ship.
After being ordered to take them to the exploded base, Jaye is convinced to leave Lauren on the ship. Turns out it isn't as secure as they thought and the leader of the Drohan shows up to take Lauren captive - again. (Yawn)
Turns out that all their mating has left Lauren pregnant, just like the Drohan wanted. They actually LEAVE THE PLANET with her and there isn't anything that Jaye can do about it.
That's when Syn, the groups tech expert, and Jaye steal a ship and go after the Drohan.
Lauren doesn't tell Jaye about the baby when he finally saves her and in walks the baggage as the leader of the Drohan takes her hostage - again.
Naturally, Jaye's team doesn't let him do it all alone and the Gov convinces Jaye to go get her. Which I still don't understand but okay.
In the end, everything works out and everything ends with a HEA.
There is a lot of world building in this one, which accounts for a lot of the lag that pulls the middle down and the baggage was more than I like but I definitely like the book.

🔥 “I’m going to pleasure you until you come apart, until you ride me to completion, until you can’t even speak your name, let alone mine.” ~~~ Jay is a sniper for the Gryn Elite unit who gets caught by the Drahon while trying to free his team from their clutches. He’s one fierce, strong, intense, lethal, dangerous and fiercely protective male. And I absolutely adored his dominance and dirty mouth. Jay might have some rough edges, but his heart is so pure and he’s absolutely magnificent. And he can be so adorable and fluffy at times! Even more, his devotion and determination to prove himself as a worthy warrior and mate was so heartwarming. I absolutely adored this seven-foot powerhouse of a male!
Lauren has been abducted from Earth and now is serving her cruel masters - the Drahon. I loved that despite almost losing hope to ever escape them, she was so strong, brave and so fearless. Even more, when a dangerous predator was put in her care, she showed such kindness, care and compassion. And she’s so feisty! I loved her so, so much!
I absolutely adored everything that happened between Lauren and Jay! Oh, their relationship was such a rollercoaster of emotions. Both had to deal with insecurities, guilt, hesitance and pain. And it took some time for them to trust one another. Nevertheless, I loved that both managed to prove to each other that, despite all they’ve been through, they’re so worthy of love. Even more, the chemistry between Jay and Lauren was spectacular and, when they finally gave in to their undeniable attraction, the passion they shared was off-the-charts hot. They were so perfect for each other and more than deserved to find healing and love together.
In addition, the storyline and the worldbuilding were absolutely fantastic. I’m really starting to dislike the Drahon - they’re so evil, dangerous, slippery and cruel. Also, with each new story, I’m falling more and more in love with the Elite unit of the Gryn - that ragtag group of warriors always cracks me up! Even more, with everything happening in this story, the suspense and the new discoveries, I was glued to the pages till the very end.
Overall, the story is another phenomenal addition to the series. It’s filled with so much emotion, non-stop action, danger, adventure, twists, suspense, surprises, blazing hot romance and spectacular characters.
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every single page of it! And I can’t wait to see what will happen next!
This picks up from the slight cliffhanger in the previous book in the series- there are spoilers for that book in this one, so you’ll want to read it first (just go ahead and read the entire series because the backstory and everything makes way more sense then- it’s worth it!)
Lauren is the lone human prisoner of the Drahon, one who is usually tasked with drudge work; so she is rather surprised when she is given the job of caring for an injured Gryn. Abducted from Earth by the Drahon, she has no idea what to make of the feathered fighter named Jay, all she knows is that he might be the best chance she has of getting out of her prison. Jay was captured by the Drahon when his unit went to investigate a Drahon ship. The Gryn have been sold as slaves by the Drahon, and Jay has no intention of letting them keep him around.
Both Jay and Lauren have to learn to trust in this one- mostly because of trauma in their pasts (mental for Lauren, while Jay’s entire upbringing has made him leery!). This story neatly wraps up the loose end we had in the previous book, and we actually get to see cameos from several of our favourite Gryn from the original series too. It’s fast paced, with plenty of action, and of course romance (yes and sex- Jay is Gryn!) and if there were one or two occasions when I might have wanted to knock some sense into Lauren and Jay, they managed to work things out in the end! An entertaining addition to the series, and an enjoyable read for sci-fi romance fans.
This is my favorite thus far in the series! Jay is an elite warrior he's the perfect mixture of naive, deadly, sexy and oh so sweetly dirty 😘 . Jay is the sniper of his unit and was captured by the enemy at the end if th first book. When he wakes he's chained and being tended to by the .Kat beautiful human female he's ever scene. But suspicion reigns supreme. Is she working with his captors or is she in as much danger as he is. As he heals he comes to realize that Lauren his human care giver is his mate the one fate ment for him. Can they put their distrust aside to escape and survive? Lauren she woke in a compound where lizard like aliens have experimented on her and a used her. She is nothing but a slave hoping to escape to freedom. When she's called on to take care of a homage warrior with wings she knows something isn't quite right. When Lauren. Meets jay she doesn't trust him, has horrible betrayal and abandonment issues and does everything in her power to resist his boyish charms in one split second opportunity knocks and their one chance at escape slaps them in the fa e. Can Lauren learn to open her heart and test before its too late? Can Jay charm Lauren with his sparkling naughty eyes and dirty thoughts and all consuming desire to love her? You must read and find out! Highly recommend💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖
Jay is one of the youngest Gryn which does also put him in the group of most impulsive as well. While he and his unit were on their last mission and also trying to rescue some humans, Jay went AWOL. Well, he caught a scent that put his instincts into overdrive and he really had no control over himself. He went running off in pursuit which is what has landed himself in his current mess. Captured and hurt in the Drahon compound. A nasty female called Yuliat has pumped him full of drugs to keep him compliant so she can "train" and sell him on. She has also made sure that a human spy is there with him too, a human named Lauren. Lauren wasn't exactly happy with her life on Earth but she'd take it over the pain and drudgery she is living now. That is until she is tasked with looking after a Gryn. All academic to her until she discovers that a Gryn, for want of a better description, is basically a seven-foot alien angel warrior. He is wasted on whatever has been given to him and she'd try to be his friend if he didn't keep saying the most ridiculous things to her. She's stitched his wing and is trying to heal his other wounds but there is just something more about him. Men cannot be trusted. They lie and cheat, he might be an alien but he is still a male so he can't be that different, can he?
Oh. My. God! I absolutely loved reading Jay and Lauren’s story. It’s very heartwarming as Lauren has been hurt in the past, despite her wariness at first, she falls for Jay hard and he is the best thing to ever happen to her. The storyline is exciting and has action, danger, an escape, passion, some very steamy scenes and more, with a happily ever after ending. The characters are well written with lots of background details. Jay is possessive, protective and has one mission only and that’s get back to the lair where Lauren will be safe. Lauren has recently been hurt by her ex when she caught him cheating. Now she’s faced with Jay, a male that she’s instantly attracted to but she’s also a little scared too. The longer they are together, the more she trusts him and she falls in love with him more each day. It’s not all sunshine and roses for them though. Jay was viciously beaten by the Drahon when they made him their prisoner. Eventually he’s taken into a room and Lauren is told to she must help him to heal. When he’s mostly healed he is told to breed her, now Jay knows Lauren is his mate but he doesn’t want to breed her or even mate her until they are somewhere safe. They manage to escape, they aren’t safe yet and Lauren is in very real danger.
I really enjoyed this book about Lauren and Jay story who both need to learn how to trust each other if they want to escape from the evil Drahon and if they are to have a future together. Lauren was abducted by aliens and was sold to the Drahon who look at her as useless until they captured a Gryn warrior who needs his injuries looked after and its now Lauren job and they want her to get really close to him. Jay is a winged Gryn Warrior and a Elite sniper who has been captured by the Drahon spaceship after he smelled that his fated mate was on board and now she is the one that is nursing him back to health but can he trust her when she appears to be working for the Drahon. Lauren is a slave and is doing as she is told but the closer she gets to Jay and to his sexy as sin body makes her believe that there could be more between them and to the life she has now but can she trust another male who only wants to look after her. How does it all turn out for our two fated mates do they escape and can they have a future together or not.

I absolutely loved this story of Jay, and Laurel. Another woman taken from earth, and forced to work as a slave. Doing any disgusting cleaning job they throw at her. Making a friendship with another female alien, also a slave. Forced by her own governing officials her parents are made to give her up as some kind of tribute payment. This female has similar lizard characteristics , but more like a chameleon. Her skin changes colors with her feelings. When Laurel is told she must care for, and help a Gryn warrior, she's nervous. When she sees how huge, and bloodied up he is, she's terrified. It takes time for him to recover his wits from the drugs they have filled him with, to get him to comply, and allow himself to be trained. No matter what they have tried, he manages to resists. Lots of starts and stops, because each one has decided that they are unworthy of any love, or happiness of any kind. Thank The Goddess that the team is reunited, and this very band of screwup s are becoming more and more competent, and not blowing up everything... Just a few things. Wonderful HEA ending for them all. Trish. A.
"I can hardly care for myself, let alone an enormous alien male like this one."
Lauren was abducted by aliens... aliens who make it clear she's too weak too sell and practically worthless to them, but cheaper than repairing a machine. Her once mundane life on Earth haunts her in some respects, the betrayals by men, and work frustrations hampering her even now.
Jay won't let the aliens who have captured him break him and win. He's a winged Gryn warrior, and elite soldier among his people, he's going to escape, return to his home planet and make things right... He has some serious obstacles in his way, and some trust issues of his own, but as long as his confidence holds, he'll make it.
This is a done in one Kindle Unlimited book that stands nicely on its own. I jumped into the series here, and I'm curious about the previous book, but never felt lost, or at a disadvantage for starting here.
I n a previous story we learned Gryn warrior Jay had been kidnapped by the Drahon - a rather nasty and brutal alien race. Jay is wounded and Drahon nasty female leader Yuliat has placed Lauren into his cell as his nurse. Jay goes from grumpy, to sort-of-nice to amicable to friendly and suddenly realizes Lauren is his fated mate, but Lauren is having none of it. She's been bitten before by an Earth man who cheated on her. Can Jay prove to Lauren he is the best thing that can happen to her? What nasty plans does Yuliat have up her sleeve for both of them? Can Jay get them out of the Drahon compound and to safety? The adventures, the journey, the emotion, the devotion - all come together in true Hattie Jacks style to give us an amazing story of life with the Gryn. Highly recommended read
Gryn warrior Jay, a seven-foot alien with a wings, gets captured by the Drahon and is injured. A human slave named Lauren is tasked with caring for him. At first, Jay is suspicious of her purpose, but when he relaxes as he gets to know her, he becomes aware that she is his mate! His protective nature is strong and he has to free his mate and take her home. Lauren is trying hard not to fall for him, but how long can she resist him when they are so perfect for each other?
Both Jay and Lauren had their own insecurities to deal with, but finding each other allowed them to begin to heal as they became closer and trusted each other. Both of them were stronger than they realized and neither would give up on the other. I really enjoyed their story and look forward to other such books going forward.
Quickly off the back of finishing Storm, I started Fury.
I was sucked into this world quite early on from book one and this book was just the same.
Fury follows Gryn Elite Warrior Jay, who was captured at the end of Storm. During his stay with his captors he meets Lauren, a human who was stolen from Earth.
Their story is full of love but also angst - both our characters need help and support from each other because they've been through a lot.
Needless to say these two are fated mates but their story unfolds differently to Kat and Strikr's in book one.
Jay and Lauren's story is very emotional and their HEA was so deserved.
Like the first book there is a lot going on but the plot is strong and keeps you sucked in.
I'm not counting down the days until the next book is released later this month!
Fury was captured by the Drahon just before the Drahon ship exploded as he ran forward to help the commander escape. He thinks his unit perished in that explosion. Now drugged, hurt, vision blurry he's doesn't trust the Drahon as a human female is thrust in his presence to care for him. Somehow he remembers that enticing smell n it calms him. It's the same thing he smelled on the ship, the reason why he ran ahead of his unit. But he thinks the Drahon r up to something , after all they r tricky, n will use any means at their disposal to make him compliant to their demands. What he didn't consider was that the human was a prisoner, just like him, n that she was his mate, until she's threatened with danger. Now the Drahon will unlock the beast within, no one threatens or touches a Gryn warrior's eregri without a fight or possibly death.
Gryn warriors are back in this second book in the Elite Rogue Alien Warrior series, and they’re just as hot, steamy and intense when it comes to their fated mates. Jay (H) has been captured and treated roughly by the Drahon when a human slave, Lauren, is assigned to see to his needs. Initially, Jay is convinced that Lauren is a Drahon agent looking to break him. As the pair get to know one another better, Jay realizes that Lauren is his mate. Now he just has to figure out how to get her away from the Drahon prison and back to the safety of his nest in the Gryn eyrie. Lots of action and adventure await the pair with new threats to their happiness flying in! And wow, the hot and steamy action is so insanely good - how can it not be with wings and special eggplants?
Jay is such an interesting Gryn warrior. He struck me as being young and hotheaded – running off to do things before completely thought through. It was nice to see this was his story based on how the last one ended. Discovering Lauren held by other aliens made for an interesting way to connect her with Jay. I like the action and the linkage to previous themes and characters in the series. Once again, it is so satisfying to see characters overcome their personal feelings of inadequacy to connect with someone else and achieve a happy HEA.

I loved this book. Great world building. I fell in love with the characters right away. Jay and Lauren are both captives of the Drahon- Lauren enslaved to their rule, and Jay held their prisoner until they could profit off him. They order Lauren to treat his injuries and take care of him. Neither trusts the other. Both were such fantastic characters. Lauren was smart, brave, and hopeful despite her predicament. Jay was fierce, strong, and a force to be reckoned with. This story has action, suspense, and steamy chemistry between these two. They suited each other perfectly. I loved this book even more than the first one. 5 stars.
A fantastic story with lots of action, adventure, danger, fighting, twists, suspense, surprises, and hot sizzling steam. Jay and Lauren were fantastic characters and were perfect for each other. Lauren is brave, feisty, strong, kind, and companionate. Jay was strong, attentive, protective, possessive, and passionate. Loved the storyline and reading about the Gryn's. Elite Unite of warriors protecting their home planet from evil. I couldn't put the book down. I can't wait to see next to get their story told. Great series.

I am obsessed with the Gryn warriors! Fury is Jay’s story which takes place after his capture by the Drahon in the first novel. I loved how he and his mate Lauren learn to let go of their insecurities from the past and gain confidence and trust in each other. Lots of both sweet and steamy moments which made for a very satisfying read! I was a bit disappointed with the weak, and in my opinion unlikely, set up to Lauren’s recapture by the Drahon, but I still really enjoyed the story and am excited to continue with reading the next book in the series.

I am loving this spin off series. Each adventure is unique. Jay is the H in this story. He is captured by the Drahon where he meets his fated mate. Of course he thinks she is a spy trying to break him. Lauren is a captive and slave. She is a survivor. I like her spine. She knows when to push and wen to hold back. The chemistry between the two eventually get to the right spot. Plenty of action, steam to the romance and of course a loving HEA. The flow of the story is good. Characters are well described. World building is very good. I can't wait for the next to get his fated mate. I was given this book as an ARC via Bookfunnel with no obligation for my honest review.
In this second installment of the Elite Rogue Alien Warriors series, we find out what happened to Jay when he vanished at the end of Storm, Book 1. Jay may be an intuitive marksman and a Gryn Warrior, but he is so naive when it comes to relationships. Yet, he knows his mate when he meets her, and he tries to be what they both need him to be. Lauren is the perfect soulmate and partner, and her determination to survive is worthy of a Gryn mate! These stories always take me on am emotional roller coaster, but I can’t help falling for each of the couples! This series is wonderful and full of other-worldly adventure. Oh, and spice. Lots of spice! Love this series!
