Outlaw Planet Mates is a multi-author series. Alien's Challenge, also by by Nancey Cummings, is the only other book in the series I’ve listened to. That introduces some of the characters & events in this one so I’d definitely recommend that one first.

Ha! This was such a fun book. Action, humor, & romance. Perrigaul & Miriam are hilarious together - not enemies, but definitely enjoy sniping & getting under each other’s skin. He’s incredibly protective and she’s tired of being watched over - but an incident that has her hunted and a treasure map have them in close proximity. The pacing is great as is their evolution from frenemies to more.

Sweet & sexy HEA - plus an epilogue that is perfect for Miriam and Perrigaul.

I don’t know if Darla’s getting a book - but I’d love to read it if she does.

Narration:
Conan Kennedy shines again here. His talent for voices and the banter between the characters is perfect. He’s great at bringing all the emotions and is a great fit with Cummings writing. Great listen.

Argumento:

Mi humilde opinión:

Alien's Heart es un romance que sigue los eventos de Alien's Challenge por la misma autora.

Miriam, la amiga bibliotecaria de Alice (Alien’s Challenge) es despertada años después tras ser secuestrada por aliens y metida en una cápsula de estasis.

Mientras que Alice encontró el amor con Faris, un alien lagarto, y se estableció, ella intenta encontrar su lugar en un planeta desconocido. Tarea imposible con Perrigaul, amigo de Faris, otro alien lagarto, controlando todos sus movimientos. Él es el alien más insoportable que conoció y no necesita una niñera. Después de demostrarle que puede cuidarse sola, Miriam decide comprar un diario que tiene la ubicación de un tesoro perdido que está dispuesta a encontrar. A pesar de que Perrigaul le dice que el tesoro es un mito no piensa dejarla sola. Juntos comienzan una inesperada y peligrosa búsqueda encontrando en el camino traicioneros piratas de Rezues Prime y rescatando una humana de la esclavitud.

La historia de Perrigaul y Miriam me pareció un romance de enemigos a amantes divertido. Disfruté de sus peleas, la búsqueda del tesoro y aventura estilo Indiana Jones con mucha acción, peligros y pasión.

Me gustó la lectura pero terminó demasiado abrupto, al menos quería ver a Alice con su bebé! O ver más de Miriam y Perrigaul.

Ojalá haya libro de Darla y Ari!

Miriam was bored. You would think that she would just be grateful that her friend and co-worker, Alice, and Alice's mate, Faris, had found her pod floating in a debris field and rescued her three years after her alien abduction. But she had missed all the danger and adventures that Alice had gotten to experience, and she felt that this just couldn't be the apex of her story. Then she found the treasure map in the diary at the flea market on the former prison planet they were currently living on while waiting for Alice's baby to be born. And she managed to body slam her alien bodyguard, Perrigual, in front of witnesses which caused her to become a bit too popular. So the two of them were staying out of sight for awhile and looking for the treasure (which neither of them truly believed existed). Getting shot at on a train was unexpected, but at least she was no longer bored. Be careful what you wish for. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

I loved that this was a quick and enjoyable read the main characters had you laughing at their antics and the bickering and fighting had you hoping and cheering for them to get together. Perrigaul is a con artist and a thief and is now a babysitter to a feisty and sexy human female that drives him crazy and now she has found a treasure map and want an adventure to find it. Miriam is a human that was kidnapped but was rescued by her best friend and co- worker and her mate Faris but she is bored out of her brain and when she finds a treasure map she goes on an adventure to find it and that means taking Perrigaul the sexy hot alien male with her because he is her bodyguard after all. There is danger, action, drama, burning chemistry, banter, treasure, underwater mansion ante just a few things that have you drawn to the pages. I don’t want to spoil it anymore more and if this is your kind of story then get it you won’t be disappointed.

I love Miriam's story. It's funny, packed with action, hilarious characters and steamy with a happily ever after. At first Perrigaul didn't seem to like Miriam as he was her protector and financial supporter and he didn't like that. After she showed him up by pinning him down, they left on a adventure together for safety reasons. This is when they started to have feelings for each other that grew the more time they spent together. It gets more exciting as their time together goes on and they almost lose each other. Great story ending!

Hilarious

Nancy always manages to fill a story with hilarious dialogue and lovable characters. Miriam and Perrigault kept me grinning throughout the entire book. The scene with Ari threw me for a loop though, I was not not expecting that move. Hopefully it means Darla will get a book starring Ari…

Well I'll be! I knew our MCs were meant for each other but how they come together is a mystery to me. It seems like trouble follows our FMC, and our MMC likewise follows her 😂, he is after all his appointed protector. I seemed to emphathize more with the MMC, I found myself thinking the same way as him. I don't understand fully the FMC but knowing that she has a good heart is good enough.

This is a ten star read! Here we return to Reazus Prime where we meet Miriam and Perrigaul. What a love story…nonstop action that feels a bit like Indiana Jones with hot romance. This is a touching story that will tug at your heartstrings. Download and enjoy❤️❤️❤️

This is filled with humor, romance, trickery, and I loved it. These two are reluctant to be near each other, but they endure. I'm not sure what else to say without ruining the story. It has a good blend of everything and kept me hooked. *I was gifted and Arc for my honest opinion.*

Alien's heart

Miriam was in stasis for 3 years before she was rescued by a couple of aliens and Faris's mate Alice. Perault was forced into being her bodyguard since all of their planet was not safe. Miriam bought a notebook from a bookseller and it had a treasure map.

This was good. I loved how Miriam kept Perrigaul on his toes. I was trying to remember Faris book since it had been awhile since I read it. But this was good. I hope there will be a story on Ari .

I liked it, at the beginning their conversations seemed a bit odd and that annoyed me. I don't know if it was their personalities or the writing style but i did get into it and i enjoyed the story.

Great fun! Odd couple, where he's a babysitter almost until she shows her fighting moves. There's treasure maps, underwater treasure, duplicitous but funny villains, lots of adventure! Loved it!

This book was a slow starter for me but it got more interesting at the halfway mark when Miriam and Perrigaul set off on their treasure hunt. She's a human who attracted a little bit too much attention in so Perrigaul takes her off on little adventure till things cool down but they get much more than they bargained for, including a growing attraction. The characters are likable, the story is fun, and I enjoyed this book a lot.

Grumpy-convict-meets-kind-hearted-human is a trope done so right in Alien’s Heart. Perrigaul is all hard edges, but Miriam’s compassion chips away at his walls, one stolen moment at a time. The emotional arc is incredibly satisfying, especially as Perrigaul begins to realize that softness doesn’t mean weakness-it means something worth fighting for. Snark, survival, and stolen hearts make this one unforgettable.
