I am interested in the story and in the characters. So many f-bombs were off-putting. There was way too much graphic detail of every sex act, position, duration, response. We already know about sex, are interested in our own, not yours or anyone else's to that extent. But the most egregious of all is the inexcusable number of typos, repeated words (especially articles), wrong words in a sentence (example "pretext") in such a short book. I want to continue to read the story in the future books, but I hope those that follow are not filled with gratuitous sexual details and bad language--and have had the attention of an editor and proofreader--not some inadequate computer substitute!

This is a great book to read . I absolutely loved how Wayne and Shari met but things moved so fast. One minute they’re gambling the next living it up married and so on but there’s something about Wayne Shari mother can’t put her finger on and now Shari notice it too after marrying Wayne. The book just keeps getting better the end has left me on the edge wondering what’s going to happen next. Can’t wait to read the next book to this series.
Yes this Suspenseful Romantic Thriller is a must read. Wayne and Shari meet where she works as a waitress at a casino. It's a whirlwind with sparks flying instantly. Wayne is secretive which drives Shari to question things. This story is steamy, suspenseful, exciting, fast paced, full of danger and mystery. Victoria is an amazing author. I've been reading her books for years and I am never disappointed. Looking forward to reading the next book. Things are getting exciting. Yes Yes Yes!

49 pages It was a good prequel giving the background of Shari and Wayne. The book started off with Shari doing whatever she could to make extra cash for her to help payments on her mother's cancer treatment. She met Wayne and he told her to leave with her when she was about to get fired. It was a whirlwind of events that shapes what they are now going into thr first book.
The start of Wayne and Shari's intense affair begins in this prequel. There is something going on but their marriage may be a double edged sword. It was thrilling and suspenseful and I can't wait for the rest of the series to read how it all unfolds.
