Definitely kinda juvenile writing for sure.
This wasn’t my next GREAT READ. But was it fun? Yes.
Entertaining? Yes.
I liked both the H and h personalities. They each were just a little extra crazy and fit each other perfectly.
There’s a very light loose story line so don’t go into this expecting some super plot. It’s just about their insta-love and the fuckery they get into together.

Also this is one of many of her other MC and the world interconnect some. I didn’t find it confusing or really focused on.

He isn’t a Hoe but the only reference to his past is when she asks- how long he has been single- and he says YEARS. So I guess we are to believe that’s the last time he has been w OW. But take it as you will since we get no other info on his past.
I do wish the author CLEARLY stated he was celibate for a while just cause SO MUCH hoolpa was made of her Virginity and him being her one and only.

We met River and Gage in cherishing her. And now it's there turn.

River is kidnapped from the same cult that tried to take her sister and mom. But she doesn't take being kidnapped well she fights thanks to her crazy foster father. She knows some tricks but she is saved also by Gage who is the president of Grimm sinners rebels and helping his brother Maverick save River. She's crazy as him and he's already head over heels so once they take care of these men he sorta kidnaps her to be his. There relationship was so good it started off slowish then went to overdrive but the chemistry was so good. We saw the new brothers from this MC and some problems they were dealing with. From another rival biker gang to enemies in there own home. I wish we had more Gage and Maverick moments or River and her sister I feel like that was a miss opportunity.

Couple things Gage already knows the dad is a seal idk why later in the book he asked River again about her dad and was he a seal. So yeah few repeats.

Gage was the first book in the spin off Grim Sinners Rebels MC by LeAnne Ashers. Gage was the brother to Maverick (book 2, Grim Sinners Original series). River was the daughter to Belle (Maverick’s wife).

I’ve taken a hiatus from formal reviews for awhile, but a couple quick thoughts: Gage will appeal to the diehard Ashers fans. It has the expected over the top good triumphs evil suspenseful plot with sexy scenes and a forever love. If you want a realistic view vs the over the top perspective, Gage may not appeal to you. Otherwise, it was a quick read and a good introduction to the new series.

Gage, the first book from the Grimm Sinners Rebels series brings readers an amazing, fast paced, insta-love contemporary romance that is all and more we’ve come to expect from Ms Ashers with a whole new host of characters.

River may not have had the greatest start to life, but with the love and guidance of the man she calls 'Dad' she has grown to be a sassy, independent young woman who’s more than capable of taking care of herself, she also happens to be a whizz when it comes to computers. Despite being more than capable of looking after herself River ends up being kidnapped twice, yes twice in one day. The first set of kidnappers she used her skills in order to defend herself, but when it came to her second kidnapper Gage, President of the Grimm Sinners Rebels MC she was defenceless.

Turns out Gage was just as defenceless when it came to River, spark flew as blood was shed, the chemistry between these two was OFF THE CHARTS… Gage is a total alpha-male, however he showed his softer, more tender side with the ways in which he cared for River, he was so loving and protective, without smothering her, he knew she was capable of handling things herself should the situation arise, which in-fact it did, on more than one occasion, where she more than proved she’s a total BAD A$$.

I highly recommend this one, it's a great book to what looks to be the start of a promising new series. I look forward to reading about the other brothers of the Grimm Sinners Rebels MC and their significant others.

Obsessed with LeAnn and her books! This book starts a new series that is intertwined with her others, so while it’s new the characters also seem familiar, which I like. After her upbringing, River is a strong and independent woman who doesn’t let anyone of anything stand in her way. Finding her biological mother and not only saving her but focusing on bringing the whole cult down, one night she finds herself kidnapped from said cult, although they don’t know that her adoptive father has trained her to survive and do anything and everything to make it possible. Gage is the closest MC brother chapter close to where River is kidnapped, so he sets off to rescue her, only to find that she doesn’t need saving. Enamored with how she is able to take down the group of men, he realizes he’s found the perfect girl for her, and thus the insta-love commences. Per usual, the cult doesn’t back down and they continue to go after her even under the protection of Gage and his MC, and I was on the edge of my seat while reading to see River kick major behind and survive. Love these books and I can’t wait for the next installment and meeting more of the guys from this MC chapter!

This is the first book in the Grim Sinners Mc Rebel series. I am so obsessed with this Mc world the author has created. I love how all her series interconnect. I love River and Gage they are one hot couple.

The book starts off with River being kidnapped by the same cult that had her mom. Gage was asked to save her but when he get there she has already dealt with her kidnappers. River is 20 year old hacker that has been train by her crazy foster dad. Gage is the president of the Grim Sinners Rebels and when he first see River in the cabin he wants her so he kidnaps her. River doesn’t mind being kidnap by Gage. They had great chemistry and I love how possessive they were of each other. She was definitely a great fit with the Grim Sinner Rebels. I also love that throughout the book it wasn’t just him that had all the action, she was alway right there with him like a badass.

I can’t wait for the other characters to get their own books.

Every once in a while you come across a book that has all the feels. Smiles and laughter are two of the best. Heartbreak that she was a four year old having to run from a child molester. I really loved this book. Gage's statement of "I love it when she mean" is the most awesome. I love it when she's mean too!! Good feels, good family, good friends and good times. Thanks LeeAnn for a great evening!

All of LeAnn Ashers books are outstanding. But Gage and River rank at the top with Butchers book. There was so many funny moments that I caught myself giggling! I have fallen head over heals in love with the members of the Grim Sinners Rebels. I can’t wait to see who’s next!

Gage is the head of the Grim Reapers, who saves River from her kidnappers and instantly feels an attraction to her. River doesn't understand, but she feels it too. She's never once thought about men until Gage came in to rescue her. Now, she feels safe with him despite the fact that they just met.
This was a quick,spicy, and edge of your seat, suspense novel. I loved how bad ass River was. She could take care of herself. Gage was very attracted to her and do it on my own attitude, but he also felt this need to protect her. The author does an incredible job of making the readers fall hard and fast for her characters. I'll definitely be first in line for book 2 in this series.

I have to admit that the first thing that attracted me to this book is the yummy cover. I don't know what I expected as this is my first book by the author, but for sure something darker and more dramatic then what I read. That being said, I found this story entertaining and enjoyed it overall. 3.5 stars!

So I believe this was my first book by Leann. And I really enjoyed it. Although between the prolouge and the 1st couple of chapters I was somewhat a little lost and confused for a small part, not bad but just a smidgen. And I believe that if I had read another series or at least a book I would not have been. But it wasn't much at all just a bit to let me know what had happened and before and where this couple had met. Once I was finally caught up somewhat I didn't need to know anything else but this couple and that's all I really wanted to know anyway. But I do want to read the other books. But this is the 1st one in this series and I love Gage and River. And the rest of the guys. And I especially loved that River was no ordinary woman. That she could kick but and take names. And that even tho Gage loved protecting her he loved that she was a mean little thing. And thought she was adorable when she was mean. I definitely can't wait to read more in this series and more by this author!! It was a great read!!!

River never expected her day to begin to be kidnapped by the cult that had taken her mom and sister. Sending out an SOS, she never expects for another chapter to rescue her. Particularly Gage, the President of the Grim Sinners MC.

Gage liked his life, but when he sees River he knows she is the one for him. He takes her out of the cult and lets her know she is his. River has no issue with that and Gage finds that River is his match in every wickedly way. The problem is the threat is not completely gone and Gage needs to find out where the next threat will come from.

Great story. I am a sucker for insta love stories, this one had a bit of everything. River is a bit of a surprise, she has a bit of an unusual history and I thought she was a hoot. Gage is alpha male, look forward to the rest in the series.

I liked the story but what annoyed me was the prologue was long and she was very adamant about connecting her family back together but then bam mom and sis was out of the picture. I thought for sure the bad guy would have to do with them but no it didn’t it was ow/om crap. I won’t ever read it again and the story line was off. Which saddens me because I loved the characters but the story just didn’t add up

I'm sorry but this book is so bad. For starters, it's sooo fast paced. Like loads of major plot points happen all at once but so much of the plot is missed so it leaves massive holes in the storyline. Then once the big bits are out the way within like 25% of the book, that feel like it's it. Done. The way the characters act is so unrealistic that it's even too abnormal for it to be in a book. And the writing itself and language used just isn't good; It's cringy and repetitive. 

OK so... Let's get into it. 

River meets her sister for the first time within the first 10% off the book and her sister immediately invites her to stay with her, her partner and her kid. Like... Does noone see a problem with that? What if she was a murderer or a drug addict or something? Who invites someone to stay with them within the first hour of meeting them? 🫠

She goes on to tell her sister that their mum, who she has met for all of 2 minutes, is in an abusive relationship and lives in a cult. 3 days later they go see their mum, the mum and sister meet for the first time and the sisters decide that the mum should move out... so the mum moves out with their help. Seriously. What? It was like it was the easiest thing in the world. Noone thought of the bigger pitcure, consequences, where the mum will stay etc... Like... 🤯

Right. Now fast forward a year. 

I'm going to point out here the fact that at the point where the sisters met, the sister wasn't pregnant, but they were trying for a baby. Now 1 year later, the baby is apparently nearly 1 years old. Hmmm, I don't think the maths quite add up 🤔

But anyway. 
1 year later some people from the cult break in and kidnap her because she's been chosen to marry a cult elder. This is where I noticed the bigger issues. So it was made a point of that river had been raised by a navy seal who taught her self defence and survival techniques. But when they break into her house, we see little to no evidence of said self defence techniques being used. She also has a gun on her and decides not to use it until she has already been kidnapped and taken to the elder. Who does that? She could have avoided being kidnapped all together by using the gun. 🤦🏼‍♀️
And all throughout this experience, she acts as though it's the most normal thing in the world. She isnt phased by it in the slightest and acts all cocky and confident and antagonises them all. 

I found a big plot hole here too. She supposedly activated a GPS tracker when she got kidnapped which her dad can track. Now, when she gets rescued shortly after being kidnapped, she's saved by mavericks brother. I'm sorry, but who the heck is maverick? But also, after she got rescued, she forgot to tell her dad she was OK. So all the while her dad has been making his way to come save her when she'd already been saved. But wait... If her dad was the only one to know she was in trouble and know her location, then surely he would have known she was safe because he would have organised for her to be rescued in the first place?  No. He seemed to have absolutely no idea she was safe and no idea who saved her... 😂 Which means we have no idea how anyone knew she was taken in the first place and how she was actually rescued. 

The MMC, Gage, who is the president of an MC and the one who saved River, is not what I expected. His first perspective in the book acts as though he is already in love with her. He claimed her as his after not even knowing her for 24 hours and then he forced her to move in with him the next day because he couldn't live without her (little fight was given from river. Its like she didn't care and just went willingly). Like... Whaaattt. It's not even been a day. Isn't this part meant to be the second kidnapping according to the book overview? 😬

They kiss for the first time and we find out it's rivers first kiss. And I'm brought back to how young river actually is in this book. She's meant to be 20 years old at this point. 20. I had genuinely forgotten and thought she was older with the way she acted. 

Honestly, I should have stopped there. I wish I had. But I didn't, I carried on. 🤷🏼‍♀️

They both head to the club house where she told him in front of everyone that she's a virgin. Like that's a normal thing to do. Then some woman came in screaming that her baby had been taken. So river hacked into the street cameras and traffic lights and guided the MC to the kidnappers where they save the kid. Again, all of this happens in the space of 3 pages 🙄

Then all is well in the world again. Until it isn't. Then it is. Then it isn't again. As I said it's very fast paced. I'm on 60% now and I genuinly don't think I can keep going. I feel like I've lost the story line. I don't know where it can go from here - it's been up and down like a yoyo. Everything is happening but at the same time, nothing is happening 🥴

Update: Ive deemed it an DNF. I kept going, tried to persevere, but it was just too bad. I got to chapter 11 (75%)... How I managed this I do not know. What I found  though was that I was skim reading it and skipping certain parts because nothing was happening. It was just uninteresting. 1 ⭐

Oh how I LOVE LOVE LOVE River & Gage! They were such a hot couple from start to finish, and boy did they have quite the crazy start to their story.

The book was so good, and it had me on my toes the entire time. It was so interesting getting to know everything about River, and how much of a badass she actually is. When we were introduced to her in her sister’s book Cherishing Her, she was so sweet and then we got to see that she could hold her own easily for a brief chapter. I loved reading about her upbringing and how it made her into the amazing and smart woman she is. She was a perfect fit with the Grim Sinner Rebels, and her crazy perfectly matched up with Gage’s crazy. It was iconic! They kicked butt and took names throughout the whole book.

♥️Some other things I loved where the strong sense of family in the Grim Sinner Rebels, and how easily they welcomed River
♥️The way Gage took River with him and then never gave her back was such an alpha male MC move, but only because the women in their lives like it and allow it
♥️How protective Gage was of her and how he knew he found his soulmate when they met
♥️The respect given to River by all the guys, and her dad
♥️The sweet relationships formed that were expected and surprising
♥️The ending was so good!

I LOVED IT!
What a great continuation of the Grim Sinners. At first I wasn't so sure about this book. There are alot of editing errors and at times the writing was kinda robotic but I pushed through and it started evening out. At times I thought it was alittle over the top at how fast Gage and River fell so hard for each other but I guess when you know you know. I knew the moment I saw my husband I was gonna marry him and two years later we were married. Anyway, this book was like a rollercoaster ride you don't want to get off of and it's SAF! Lol! These men are so off the charts smokin hot. At times the suspense is so intense but then River and Gage turn into some serious bad*sses. They are actually perfect for each other. At times I was laughing out loud at how excited River gets every time she gets to take her revenge on someone that tries to hurt the club. And I love how the whole club backs her every step of the way and the biggest and baddest of the club become like her overprotective brothers. Especially Reaper. And little Penelope is total cuteness overload, She's just precious and she has every one of those guys wrapped around her little finger. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO EVERYONE!

Okay... Seeing the other reviews, I know I'm the minority here, but... What the heck was that?! The beginning was intriguing, River is portrayed as a strong female who can hold her own and has an interesting background. I liked that. Her own thinking, however, flows right out the window as soon as she meets Gage. On the one hand, she's this kind of Superwoman who can hack into anything and who can defend herself, on the other hand, she moves in with Gage the. freaking. day. after she met him - and of course, she's a virgin. The whole book is drama after drama with a whole lot of "she's mine"/"he's mine", hurting/killing anyone who's hurting/disrespecting the other, "she's my ole lady", sex and apparently matching any available relatives of hers with guys from his MC/family. On top of that, there were so many spelling errors I'm not sure this book has seen an editor. I'm sorry, but this was ridiculous and will stay the only book I'll ever read by this author.

I fall in love with LeAnn's characters every time i read one of her books, Gage and River were no different.
All the feels, kick ass woman, strong sexy alpha and a whole family of gorgeous bikers and a sweet little girl to love.

River had a bad start to life but thanks to her adopted navy seal dad she grows into the kind of woman u want ur daughters to be, independent, strong and able to fight for herself.
Gage is just.... yum
President, sexy af, sweet and dangerous to those who cross him or anyone he loves.

They r the perfect match, their connection is instant and their love makes u swoon. I could read LeAnn's books over and over. I felt like I was waiting forever for this one but it was soooo worth the wait.

I love LeAnn’s books and this one did not disappoint me!!

This is the first book in the new Grim Sinners Rebels series and to say I couldn’t put this book down is an understatement! I truly enjoyed Gage and Rivers story! Having meet River in cherishing his forever I couldn’t wait for her story and I was not disappointed in the least!

River is a total boss FMC and Gage is her match and they just click. Gage is a perfect alpha protective MMC. I loved the little glimpses of some of our OG sinners 😏

The only downside was their story was short I really wish we got a bit more of this amazing couple! I could not recommend reading this book enough!

Finally I have waited for Gage and River story and omg it didn’t disappoint I love love gage and how he takes to River instantly even when the suspense, drama surrounds her she is my favorite badass herself this is a amazing book one of my favorite”s this year and can’t wait til the next book in this series Leann never disappoints if you read one book this year make sure this is on the list such great sexual chemistry,suspense,angst action it captivates you from the first page love love this Couple this makes them a power couple, I loved this book when it was a teaser in Mavericks book and now that it is finished I love it even more! This is the 1st in a new series, and this is Gage and Rivers’ story. River is kidnapped twice in one day, and Gage is sent to rescue her. However, River is sassy and independent, and she is a hacker who has been trained by her foster dad, and when she is kidnapped by a cult which has her mom, by the time Gage gets there, she has dealt with them herself. Gage is the president of the MC, and he is protective and caring with River, and the chemistry between them is combustible and undeniable. This is a well written story which is fast paced, and is an instant love story, with danger, suspense, intrigue, rivals, action, family, and love, which leads to a riveting and addictive page turner.
