A former SEAL on a life changing mission. A congressional aide caught up in the underworld of greed. The explosive culmination of secrets, lies, and salvation.
Former SEAL, Creed Rowan, rescued a beautiful captive on a yacht during a mission, but there’s more to his rescue than meets the eye. She’s the connection RAPTOR needs to stop an international exchange and save the lives of hundreds of women.
Hope Dumond’s life as a congressional aide in Washington, as ugly as it was, never prepared her for being kidnapped and within minutes of being sold as a sex slave. When her rescuer is also handsome, smart, and incredibly capable of exposing those responsible, she jumps at the chance to tell him all the secrets she’s uncovered. As they compile a mountain of evidence against these despicable humans, Hope longs for revenge against those responsible for trying to take her life.
I was born in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri named Bridgeton. During my time in Missouri, I explored the Ozarks, swam in the Mississippi River, played kickball and endless games of hide and seek with the neighborhood kids. Spending summers in Kentucky with my Grandmother, Ruth, are the fondest childhood memories for me.
At the age of thirteen, my family moved to Wisconsin to learn to farm. Yes, learn to farm! That was interesting. Taking city kids and throwing them on a farm with twenty-eight cows purchased from the Humane Society because they had been abused, was interesting. I learned to milk cows, the ins and outs of a breeding schedule, feeding schedule and the never ending haying in the summer and trying to stay warm in the winter. Our first winter in Wisconsin, we had thirty-six inches of snow in one storm and were snowed in our house for three days! Needless to say, I wasn’t loving Wisconsin.
I am now married with four children and three grandchildren. I have learned to love Wisconsin, though I still hate snow. Wisconsin and the United States are beautiful and my husband and I travel around by motorcycle seeing new sites and meeting new people. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are interested in where we are going and what we have seen along the way. At every gas station, restaurant and hotel, we have people come up to us and ask us about what we are doing and offering advice on which roads in the area are better than others and great rides others have been on if we are interested.
I come from a family of veterans. My grandfather, father, brother and two of my sons and one daughter-in-law are all veterans. Needless to say, I am proud. Proud to be an American and proud of the service my amazing family has given.
I cannot tell you how much I love RAPTOR and the battle they fight, unfortunately it is not a battle that will clear all vermin from the world. But they take down some powerful people at the top of the chain and for that they are my heroes. Hope has been thrust into a world of deprevation and once RAPTOR rescue her she is determined to help them take down the people responsible. She is very traumatized, completely terrified and shaking with shock but she has a spine of steel and never wavers in her determination...a perfect compliment to RAPTOR and the perfect match for Creed.

Healing Hope is book 8 in the RAPTOR series by PJ Fiala and this series just keeps getting better.
Up next is Creed Rowan and Hope Dumond. While on a rescue mission Creed helps save Hope from the kidnappers only to discover she hold the cards to bringing down the group responsible for trafficking women and children.
What happens next will keep you turning pages, holding your breath, suspense, finding how deep and who is involved, action, keeping Hope safe and a slow build to finding a possible HEA…
Wow!!! What wasn’t there to love about Creed and Hope’s story. I absolutely adore the RAPTOR team and their journeys to love. I’ve loved Creed’s character since his first appearance in previous stories. He’s such a sweetheart. Don’t get me wrong he’s a total alpha protector with the body of an adonis and the heart of a lion. The whole package!! His soft side comes to the forefront on meeting Hope. Giving her the feeling of safety she craves. There’s nothing hotter than a well built man letting his teddy bear side show. A man comfortable in his own skin. I admire the way he has made a fulfilling life for himself in the business of his family-of-choice. It’s admirable that he plies forward with purpose and doesn’t allow his disability to define him. After the experiences he’s endured at the hands of his mother and father he made such a success of himself and his life. I find him a beautiful character, someone to look up to and to show that we can all succeed if we really want to. Hope is such a strong character. I know she doesn’t see herself that way but I find her awe inspiring. She has been a victim of evil. She survived, enduring everything she had to. I can totally understand her needing a presence like Creed to feel safe. But with his support and developing love she starts to find her backbone and strength to bring this evil to justice. This story is truly beautiful. These characters become your instant friends and you instantly have a vested interest in their happiness. I love this series for many reasons, the main one being the positive light in which P J Fiala depicts people living with disabilities and how the physical restrictions they face doesn’t define who they really are and what they can achieve. Highly recommend. So many more than a 5 star review.
Fast-paced, suspenseful, and romantic, I found myself sitting on tenterhooks whilst reading this novel as Creed and his team members rescue a number of girls, including Hope, destined for the slave market. Discovering her boss's secrets put Hope in jeopardy and she finds that he does not care whether she lives or dies, just so long as he is rid of her. However, having gone through all the trouble of recording and hiding the evidence against the Congressman, Hope refuses to give up until she sees him receiving the justice he deserves. I loved Creed and his team members, their wit and camaraderie, as well as their continued focus on rescuing the victims of evil men and women. As the plot escalates, so too does the tension, as well as the feelings that develop between Creed and Hope. Although this is part of a series and some work still needs to be done, this couple's story is a standalone and comes to a happy conclusion. I received a copy of this novel as a gift through StoryOrigin and this is my honest and voluntary review.
In this latest story, we are back with the men and women of RAPTOR. A company created by Emmy Copeland, the daughter of one of GHOST’S owners, with the intend of employing former military men and women who though injured in battle, still have a lot to offer. Their main goal is to rescue those being trafficked and eliminating the traffickers. This time the story belongs to former Navy SEAL, Creed Rowan. When Creed and his group board a boat in order to rescue women that had been kidnapped, he never expected that meeting Hope Dummond would change his life. Hope, a congressional aide in Washington, had been kidnapped from her home when her boss realized she had discovered his involvement in human trafficking. As Hope helps Creed and RAPTOR search for the traffickers, and create a case against them , feelings develop between Hope and Creed. But is it just the circumstances that bring them together, or is it real? Meanwhile, will they survive the enemy? This was not only a good addition to the series, but also a reminder of the reality of human trafficking that exists not only overseas but also in the USA. Lastly, whether you are new to the series or a long time reader, rest assure that it is a stand alone. Especially since at the beginning of the story, the author gives the reader enough information about the group and each of it’s members. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Healing Hope By: PJ Fiala Narrated by: Rose Dioro, Troy Duran Series: RAPTOR, Book 8
PJ Fiala does it again! Captures my interest and my heart at the same time. Hope is a congressional aide who finds herself in a predicament. Gathering information about her superiors has found herself kidnapped and ready to be sold in to slavery until Creed comes to her rescue. Now she not only is a survivor, but could be the key to helping RAPTOR end a huge trafficking ring. But will Creed be able to keep her safe throughout the mission? And will his heart survive? Hope is a phenomenal character. She is strong and smart. Her brave nature has her waning to be there for every aspect of the takedown. Creed is protective and his heart is huge. Plus we get to mingle with all the others in RAPTOR that we have come to know and love! I love this interconnected series. It's one of my favorite romantic suspense storylines and I am looking forward to the next one!
Continuing the narration of this fabulous series is Troy Duran and Rose Dioro. These two are so good together, and their compilations are perfect! Duran plays Creed to perfection. Strong and protective, his voice gives us the warmth of love, and the leader in the field. Dioro shows how versatile she is with Hope. This character is an amazing heroine, putting her fears aside and showing strength and healing. Her voice reflects every emotion she goes through. Another amazing listen!
Creed Rown had been a SEAL and as part of a RAPTOR mission, he rescued a beautiful woman on a yacht where it becomes clear that she can help them to take down the international trade to save the lives of hundreds of women. Hope Dumond had been a congressional aide in Washington but that had never prepared her for being kidnapped and sold as a sex slave. When she is rescued by a handsome, smart and incredibly capable man who is part of an organisation that can expose those responsible she jumps at the chance to tell him all of the secrets she has uncovered. Compiling all of the mountains of evidence she hopes for revenge against those responsible - will Creed's mission be healing Hope?
I loved this story with the start of the end of the women trafficking ring thanks to Hope being so brave and getting the evidence that she could. Creed was great as a strong protector and definitely a man entranced with the strong and beautiful woman at his side. They were both careful to make sure that it was not part of the syndrome of falling for rescuers and I thought they were both cautious and sensible when it was needed. I thought it was well described and written so that it felt as if I was there too. Contains some mature content.
Creed Rowan is a former SEALs specializing in explosives and swimming and he can go places others don't. He and the team are on a mission to rescue women who've been trafficked and to bring down the traffickers. They have rescued several women off a boat in Miami one of which is Hope Dumond who is a congressional aide in Washington DC who never expected to be kidnapped and sold as a sex slave. Hope is due to be released from the hospital and is scared. She has info on her boss, the congressman, his wife and another person involved in the trafficking and they know she has it and they want her gone. Creed makes her feel safe and she doesn't want to leave his side nor does he want to leave her. She wants to help Creed and his team bring down the congressman and those that are involved in this. She has hidden files and documented evidence that the team will help her retrieve but she and her family are still in danger while the investigation goes on. She and Creed have been together since she was rescued and feelings have developed. Can they bring down the people involved and will they happiness?
Healing Hope is the latest book in the RAPTOR series by PJ Fiala and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Hope Dumond was kidnapped at her boss’s orders and kept drugged so she can’t escape. She’s smart, resourceful, and cunning but she couldn’t fight against a dangerous foe alone. Enter RAPTER’s Creed Rowan. When he comes to rescue Hope and the other women being held captive, he sees a scared, shell of a woman who has information that can help him bring down the trafficking ring he and his team have been working against for a while. Hope’s foresight into what she needed to do not only brought about her kidnapping but will take the ring down. The vulnerability she shows when she’s rescued leads Creed to want to protect her against everything. It also brings out his own. The chemistry between these two leads to some tender scenes and parents that only want the best for their daughter. I loved the way PJ ties the beginning of the story directly into the end of the last one and closes the loop on some of the other characters while telling Creed’s story. I can’t wait for the next one in the series but don’t want it to end.
Hope was missing and the media spun stories about her disappearance. Creed and Raptor found Hope drugged and tied up when they were on a mission to bring down a large human trafficking ring. It was an insta-atrraction between Creed and Hope and as Hope reveals why she was captured and being held, the Raptor team finds out Hope has information to bring down some powerful people and a chance to cut off the head of the organization. Their love story is sweet and steamy, the suspense keeps you on your toes.
I have not read the previous seven books, so all the pieces leading to this point are missing to me, but it didnt stop me from enjoying the story or picking up on what this incredible teams does and have done in the past.
I received a review audible copy of this book for my honest review. The narrations was awesome, both narrators engaged the listener and the recording was clear. They even audibly swallowed where the situation called for it, bringing the listener right in the story as if they were there.
After rescuing more women meant for trafficking, Creed saves a woman, Hope, who was there for other reasons than being sold. Now it’s up to him and his team to keep her safe while gathering all the evidence she has to take down higher ups that are in the gov’t. Hope is determined to serve justice to the ones who kidnapped her and wanted her dead and she will help Creed and his team to bring everyone down who has had a hand in the trafficking ring for good. And in the meantime, her kidnapping brought her Creed and hopefully when they have what she has, there will be a future for these two. Another great instalment in the RAPTOR series and getting closer to bringing down the ring leader of it all. I liked these two, no drama, no fuss, and no miscommunication between them. The story flowed nicely with great characters, some steam, and suspense. Can’t wait for the next one to see how it all ends. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
5 Stars I received a free copy of the steamy Miami, Florida and Washington D.C set post-military novel Healing Hope: A Protector Romance: RAPTOR book 8: Team Charlie by PJ Fiala, and this review was given freely. Picking up where book 7 leaves off with the well-oiled RAPTOR Team out to sea, this story is a good blend of intrigue, danger, suspense, and romance. This is a quickly escalating and tension-filled instant attraction romance containing realistic characters, some violence, and both heartwarming and steamy moments. When former Navy SEAL Creed Rowan rescues drugged congressional aide Hope Dumond from a trafficker’s yacht, he doesn’t expect her to call to his heart or to be protecting her from the continued murder attempts of Congressman Compton. Best if read in series order.
Once again we meet up with the men and women of RAPTOR. A company created by Emmy Copeland, daughter of one of GHOST’S owners. RAPTOR’s speciality is employing former military men and women who though injured in battle, still have much to offer. When Creed and his group board a boat in order to rescue women that had been kidnapped, he never expected to meet Hope Dummond. She was a congressional aide working in Washington, who’d been kidnapped from her home after her boss realised she’d discovered his involvement in human trafficking. As Hope helps Creed and RAPTOR search for the traffickers, and create a case against them , feelings develop between Hope and Creed. This book’s storyline has a good blend of intrigue, danger, romance, danger and suspense. The almost instant attraction between the main couple is realistic and has some steamy and heart-warming moments making this a great addition to this series.
After Creed’s career as a SEAL came to an end, he has found a new calling both with the other members of RAPTOR and the assignments they take to help others. When his latest assignment brings Hope into his life, he is determined to protect her and ensure that those who are responsible are brought to justice.
Hope may have been rescued but the threat is far from over. After what she has endured Hope may be scared but she is determined to ensure the perpetrators are stopped so they can’t hurt others and Creed gives her the understanding and shows her the past hasn’t defined her.
The characters of Creed and Hope have overcome so much, and you can’t help but feel for everything they have been through and continue to go through. The circumstances that brought them together aren’t ideal, but they couldn’t be more perfect for each other
I have read all of the Raptor books and Healing Hope was another solid addition to the series. If you haven't read any of the previous books in the Team Charlie series I do recommend going back to them because there is an ongoing plotline running through this series regarding an international human trafficking ring that links many of the characters. Hope Dumond was held captive on a boat by traffickers and was rescued by the team and instantly bonded with Creed Rowan. She has a lot of inside information and starts working with the team to try to bring an end to this brutal group of criminals. Hope and Creed's story is definitely an insta-love however it was pretty lighthearted rather than angsty. Healing Hope was told from dual POV and was a light action adventure with steamy scenes as well. Looking forward to see where the series goes from here.
Another great Raptor book! I really enjoy this series! Raptor team works to uncover human trafficking. Hope is a congressional aide. She recorded conversations which prove the Senator is dirty. She must have been caught, because she was kidnapped with plans to sell her into slavery. Creed to the rescue. If she can retrieve her recordings, she may be able to bring the Senator down. Hope is a feisty, strong-willed women, who puts the good of others before herself. Creed is an alpha male, strong and protective. We have a little more interaction with the Ghost members. (Another alpha set.) Each book can be a stand-alone, but I like it best to read them in order. Excellent story line, and well developed characters who hold up throughout the series. Love the narrator! I received a free copy of this book, and am voluntarily leaving my review.
I absolutely love Creed and Hope's story! I couldn't put it down. This book is chock full of twists and turns. I think Creed is my new favorite. He is 100 percent Alpha protector who is not afraid to show his feelings. Hope and Creed met when he rescued her from being trafficked by human traffickers. She has dirt on a powerful man who will stop at anything to keep his despicable activities from being brought to light. Creed and Hope are inseparable from the very first moment. Feelings grew quickly. All they have to do is shut down the bad guys to get the HEA they deserve. Get this book ASAP and see what happens next. I promise you won't regret it. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review
Great book! Lots of action, suspense, danger, and romance. It’s engaging from the beginning and holds interest until the end. It was great visiting all the characters again and watching them work together as the amazing team they are to take down the bad guys. Hope was a nice addition to the group and I enjoyed the interactions between her and the team and the addition of her parents; they added a nice emotional depth to the story. Creed and Hope seemed to naturally gravitate toward each other and it was great to watch them work together and develop a relationship on the side. There were definitely some laughs when Creed and Hope had to confront her parents. The entire story is engrossing and moves at a fast pace and is a great addition to the series.
This is Healing Hope Of The RAPTOR Series Book #8 This is Creed’s Story And it will have you engrossed from the beginning until the end. Creed and the a few of the RAPTOR operatives are working on a boat trying to get some women free who have been kidnapped for sex trafficking but when Creed meets Hope Dumond he is left amazed at her strength. Will they be able to get this case done? Hope Dumond worked for congressman Compton and she had collected evidence to put him away but she ended up kidnapped and drugged . Can RAPTOR operatives get this case closed or will the bad men get away? This book is filled with suspense and action packed and chemistry and romance and so much more. It's absolutely a fantastic story.

What an incredible writer PJ Fiala is to be able to write about a subject so heartbreaking. To realize that it truly exists makes my heart ache. To read what some of these women endure and some not surviving all for some sicko’s self-gain makes me want to scream. However, PJ Fiala’s characters have so much strength and determination. They don’t give into their situation but rather find the strength to make it through. They have the help from the member of RAPTOR and often find their own happily ever after. Afterall, it is about romance. Their romance might happen quickly, but in reading this series I have come to the realization you cannot take anything for granted because tomorrow is never guaranteed.
The saga continues in the latest RAPTOR book.. at the end of Keeping Kori we are introduced to Hope, a congressional aide that knows too much, has been kidnapped and is rescued by the RAPTOR team. Healing Hope is her story along with the story of her rescuer, Creed.
Each installment brings us closer to the truth but along the way we watch as each character finds their inner strength and their HEA.. Hope has to turn her fear into resolve and Creed has to learn to open his heart and together along with the rest of the team they have to find a way to survive and bring down those who profit from the most depraved desires of people.
While I highly recommend reading this series in order, PJ Fiala does a great job of bringing you up to date while not being repetitive.
The RAPTOR Series is great. Creed is the one who saves Hope when she is kidnapped and is a victim of human trafficking, because she is rescued by Creed they can use the information she has to work with her help and the RAPTOR team to end human trafficking and the bring down the entire organization. Hope is busy sharing everything she knows, heard and seen with Creed and his team, even though she actually needs to heal. The action and danger, but also the twists and violence that occur in it, ensure that your attention is glued to your book from start to finish. I think it is useful to start with the first part of this series. In short, it is highly recommended.
I received a Advance Reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Can Creed keep Hope safe and help her to bring down the big players traffickers?
Creed and his team rescue several women from a boat in the Mexican waters just out of US reach. Hope tells them she worked for a congressman and has lots of information of his and his wife's involvement in human trafficking and had her kidnapped because of it. As they keep her hidden and help the other girls to get home again, the also find some of the players in Miami and take them down. Then they head to DC to get the congressman and his wife and any other players the can take down. Will the be able to do d her hidden information on the congressman and all his cohorts and keep her and her parents safe? It was fun to watch Creed and Hope fall in love.
What a touching, emotional heart breaking, and eye opening story. Creed is with RAPTOR when he is involved with rescuing several kidnapped women, one who is the key to saving hundreds of lives. Hope is an aide to the congressman and is kidnapped from her home in the middle of the night. All because she overheard conversations. All Hope wants is to go back to the life she had and to punish all the despicable people who tried to ruin her life. Will Creed and Hope be able to put right the wrongs this book is about? You really have to read this. I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving this review of Healing Hope.
Creed’s team is working to stop a human trafficking ring. They have taken out many key players in prior stories in this series, but need to find and remove the “top” guys. Their latest rescue includes Hope, who realized her employer was trafficking and gathered data to get them put away. When it was discovered what she was doing, she found herself “taken”. She cannot go back to her life until the proof is retrieved, and the culprits put away for good.
Exciting, high-tech, romantic, culmination of teamwork and determination packaged in a fully entertaining story.
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
Once again Patti has given us a fast paced in this wonderful series that is starting to draw towards its conclusion Slowly the guys and gals of R.A.P.T.O.R are taking down the human trafficking ring and getting closer to the ultimate boss.
Creed is a member if the team and he sure doesn't expect that Hope one of their latest rescues to have the affect on him that she does. Hope ended up trafficked because of the dirt she found on her boss a congressman who may have more to do with the ring than anyone realised with her help and the R.A.P.T.O.R team are the finally close to ending this horrid group
Seldom has a book been more aptly named; there is healing in this book, both for Hope herself, as she courageously and determinedly pursues justice and the congressman who had her kidnapped and trafficked, and for the victims of the traffickers as they are increasingly rescued. Creed is just incredible; kind, understanding, and also tough and more than up to his position in RAPTOR. We get to see several of the “old” characters again, especially Emmy, and this is in every way a joint endeavor. Oh and for Falcon fans – don’t miss this one! I keep saying this about the RAPTOR books, but this is promising to be my favorite. It’s an un-put-downable read.
Falcon, Creed and Emmy were part of Raptor crew rescuing trafficked women from a boat just outside of U.S. territorial waters. Women onboard included Hope, a congressional aide who found out that her boss and his wife part of group who kidnapped and sold women...Creed was her lifeline as she was taken off the drugs they injected into her, as she was afraid of being alone and didn't trust that congressman would have ways to trace the hospital where she was after rescue...she had information vital to taking down the traffickers, and went with the team to retrieve...but you will need to read this intense story to find what happens. I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.
I was firmly caught by the first page, and kept engrossed until the very last - in my opinion Healing Hope is the best book in this series so far. Hope is a congressional aid who having found out too much becomes a victim of human trafficking, but is saved by Creed and fellow operatives from RAPTOR. The hell she has gone through makes her determined to help bring the perpetrators to justice, and she works closely with Creed and the team to bring them down. The attraction between Hope and Creed grows rapidly, as they and the team put plans into action - this is a brilliant book, thoroughly recommended.
Creed and the RAPTORS find Hope who is drugged and restrained on a boat that they found in their search for the human traffickers. Hope has information for RAPTOR that may allow for the capture of some of the higher ups of the traffickers. ,Hope only feels comfortable in Creed's presence and thus they start their endeavor of romance. Ms. Fiala writes books that capture your attention from the first few pages to the last page. You are so involved in the story that you are as anxious to solve the story as her characters are. Her writing is in words that are easy to understand and don't require you to guess their meaning. I recommend this book to anyone who loves romantic suspense.
