This time, Ava realizes that Veritas won’t ever let her go free.
After being accused of murder and now locked up in jail, Ava’s day can’t possibly be worse. But she needs to escape. The truth is out there, and she needs to set out on the mission to find it.
Ava going missing only makes her look guiltier, but she would have ended up in prison if she had stayed. So, she is left with no choice but to fix everything by herself once more.
Author Clara Lewis has always been an avid fan of mysteries. As a child, she devoured the “Nancy Drew” and “Hardy Boys” series’s, which inspired her desire to write her own mystery thrillers. Though Clara’s journey took her in several different directions, she eventually published her debut series early in 2021.
Besides spending her time creating vast worlds and convoluted mysteries for her readers to divulge in, Lewis spends her time at her home in Portland, Oregon. As a mother and wife, she wears many hats, and can often be found baking and crocheting.
Lewis always had a passion for creating, and she wants nothing more than to provide the same thrills she loves to her readers. She loves to read (and smell) books just as much as she loves to write them! She has several projects in the works, and can’t wait to share them with her audience.
Our heroine locked up once again accused of a new murder. She has to escape if she wants to solve this case, but that only makes her look more guilty. She is going to be on her own for this one and the odds are definitely against her.
This is book ten of the series, and the fourth book in the second story arc. I recommend starting at the beginning of the arc (if not the beginning of the series).
The story is a police detective mystery. The story is well written and easy to read while done as a serial, so each book will build on the last during this arc. We get a nice setting and intriguing characters which is always a big plus. The plot moves at a good pace, getting your attention right from the start and pulling you along at a good clip. All other the elements combined for a quick and fun read which definitely left me reaching for the next book.
Highly recommended.
I received an ARC from the author for review purposes.
Ava's a fugitive now, even an prison-breaker (with the help of Oscar, and the tacit acceptance of her boss). And at the end of this episode she even gets wounded, after a close meeting with a hitman of the vigilante group. Tought times for Ava.
Lets see what comes next for her in the next episode (book 11). Can we guess if she will accept the proposal from the vigilante group (they will let her be if she accepts to join them !) ? Hmm, I will not place all my bets on one of the variants. Yet.
This series has action, danger suspense. Ava Locke is facing her worst criminal yet. They seem to have power everywhere and can't get caught. They now have Ava in their sights and she is on the run, but she is stubborn and won't give up. The corruption is everywhere and there are only a select few that she can trust. I am looking forward to the next book. I would recommend it to readers who enjoy stories with strong female leads. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
I just totally love Clara Lewis's "Ava Locke in"futility". This girl sure takes danger to the very limit, and Veritas will not back down and Ava is going to find out the hard way. I would like to point out that being part of Clara's ARC TEAM I received this book free for an honest review. I have done so.
You go along with Ava Locke on her mission to take down the vigilant group called Veritas. This is a quick, exciting read that is part of a series. You may want to start with book one so you are not lost and confused. Highly recommend this page turner! I received an ARC copy and am leaving my honest review!
This book details Ava Locke's continuing attempt to bring vigilante group Veritas to justice. It is a real roller coaster ride. I highly recommend this book to other police procedural readers. I received this book as an ARC, and the above opinion is strictly my own.
Ava in jail and unable to escape has to get Oscars help to escape. Varitas doesnt want to let go of Ava. This is a chilling and very exciting read. There is a suprising finish too.I enjoyed this book and leave an honest review. I also recommend this book to other readers.
With the elimination of a fellow officer, Ava is certain she is in trouble. She uncovers a lot of evidence to prove the involvement of Veritas and is once again in a cell. She is going to need Mark and Oscar to do everything in their power to get her out of this.
Ava escapes, gets more information on Veritas, and ends up dealing with the past. Fast paced, intriguing story with Ava taking two steps forward and three steps back. Interesting twist with Alexander. Ready for the next book, loving it.
Futility by Clara Lewis is book number 7 in this series, and it was 71 pages of easy to read entertainment. I received a arc copy of this book for my honest review.
The continuing story of Ava’s fight against Veritas. She manages to escape from her cell, goes underground, but, Veritas’s agents find her! It seems they want her to join them, but, will she?
