The Vibes You Feel was right on time for me. While on a path of digging myself out of depression, this book touched on so many things I wanted and needed to know. The many teachings, prayers, and life lessons were much appreciated. I will definitely reread this one.
I love the topics, prayers, and transparency in this book. A lot towards the end was so relevant and helpful to my current feelings. I’m going to read her other book.
This books talks about when we feel vibes that is actually the Holy Spirit trying to lead us towards his will. It explains how to listen to what we are being told through the Holy Spirit and how it can help us to enjoy our life and have our life more fulfilled. There are reflection questions in the back of the book to help you follow through each section and reflect on your own life.
Powerful book on the Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts
I enjoyed reading this book. Her example of real life stories describing her encounter with spiritual gifts and the Holy Spirit was inspiring. I love the scriptures before each chapter and prayers after each chapter. The chapter were brief and to the point. I loved this book.
I did not think that I would like this book, the author and I seemingly have nothing in common except being Plus Sized and loving the God. I tried to put it down and was tugged by The Holy Spirit, or "my intuition" and "the vibes", if you can get past the analogies which to me do not actually make the book like some other reviews found and you start looking at the scripture references, you start to see a picture being painted of The Holy Spirit who looks out for you in day to day basis. I do not have a big family, and I do not even like the majority of my extended family but where the author drew comparisons to finding her family as a safe haven, I started to see where God was mine. Where my mother who is the most sacrifical and beautiful person I know was mine and where God really does provide even strangers to bless us and become our family, which is my experience. This means a lot to me as I have dealt with many hateful and broken people in my family of origin.
The author also discusses relationships and while I do NOT share her worldview it is beyond refreshing to have book written for my age range and younger (in my twenties) where relationships are the FOCUS and they are not ROMANTIC. I have been searching far and wide for a Christian book on community and relationships and it seems like in vain because this is the only one that I have found so far, that looks remotely attractive.
My experience with this book, my flesh wants to say it's not for me BUT whenever I go to put this book down I kid you not someone in real life brings up the content of the next chapter (which I know as I have a tendency to read ahead) or the current chapter and I literally have a heated discussion on it. So I don't like the writing but The Holy Spirit did bless this book and it deserves it's four stars XD.
How I got this book mattered to me as well, it was from someone I don't talk to very much anymore but was a very good friend when I needed her. She said she was drawn to this book from the Logos bookship when it was on my island and I knew then as well that The Holy Spirit wanted me to read this book. So I agree that the "vibes" you feel might just be "Him" drawing you in.

My Review:
Teens and young women have it hard in this day and age. I thought this world was difficult when I was young but this time around it has far surpassed my teenage years. They have to face a lot of things they shouldn't have to face. And because of it God gets thrown into the background or is completely gone from the scene, altogether. And its not because He doesn't want to be, its because He is being rejected more and more.
Those of us that are older, its our responsibility to come along side and teach them that there's something different out there. Something that can save them and nurture that is far greater than what the world offers. In the book, The Vibes You Feel, the author discusses letting the Spirit lead you and how to hear Him guide you.
They need this!
**Disclosure**This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
The Vibes You Feel is exactly what I expected. I was encouraged and uplifted by Kierra Sheard-Kelly’s previous book (Big, Bold, & Beautiful) a couple years ago and I accurately predicted I’d feel the same about this one.
I promise you, even if you only read the chapter titles and Scripture verses you’ll be blessed. But don’t skip anything, because the book is loaded with gifts—from inspiring messages and advice to guidance of the Holy Spirit that builds up and strengthens personal relationships.
Each chapter is short but powerful, promoting listening to your gut. Intuition is a gift from a very powerful Source.

This time around Kierra focuses on adult life and touches on marriage, emotions and communication as well as loving yourself. This makes an excellent part 2, to her first offering.
Very good read. It was very simple and straight to the point. The book did lack depth theologically; however, I did enjoy reading her lived experiences and the different events where the Spirit gave her warning and coverings.
I enjoyed the short chapters and the prayers included at each chapter's end. This gave me time to reflect on each topic before moving on to the next. I would recommend this to anyone interested in learning more about the Holy Spirit.
I received this book as a Goodreads first-reads winner.
