A refreshing and young take on how to create the financial future you want. There are actionable steps that fit the modern reality that we live in today. This will be a clear hit for young athletes and especially for athletes of color who are having the opportunity to finally see themselves represented in the financial space.

I adored this financial book. It was clear that Devon feels passionate about how if you put in the work you can and will hit your goals. I loved that he was unafraid to admit flaws, humble brag, and tell his story in an authentic way that reads true for the reader. Kennard shares that he has had some amazing opportunities but also isn't afraid to mention his flaws.

I had great time reading this book and it gave me the inspiration to recognize that what holds me back is simply what I'm choosing to hold me back. I look forward to watching the rest of Kenner's career especially as he lays out how he has set himself up for success after the NFL. Kennard is going to do so much good in his lifetime you can feel it through the passion of his words.

Pros: great insight into the financial life of an NFL player, as well as the ways that finances can be diversified within the bigger buckets of “real estate” and “passive income”

Cons: every single book or tool referenced as a resource is from a man - including D*ve R*msey and T*ny R*bbins 🙃 The book mentions financial inequities, etc but then frequently references inequitable resources that the author drew from. This incongruence was hard to ignore.

excellent read

Mr Kennard did an incredible job of showing the other side of professional athlete finances, how he planned, and then excelled. The book was so full of great ideas. I’d recommend it to anyone, especially young people starting their journey
