Humiliatingly rejected by Haasil, even after she thought she had him, Pallavi sets forth on a self-destructive path, seeking one life-thrill after the other. All she desires is to heal the wounds that haunt her every move, not allowing her to be herself. Neither can she forget Haasil nor can she reach him any more. That is, until she meets . . . Palki, Haasil's ex-wife who is presumed dead by the world. Talking to Palki, Pallavi realizes she has found the ultimate weapon to destroy the one man who changed her life and persona forever. She plans a deadly set of events that catch Haasil, Palki and his current love, Swadha, unaware. As the dice of destiny is rolled, the question will Pallavi destroy Haasil irreversibly using his once true love, Palki, or will she, for once, come to terms with her deep love for him? A Thousand Kisses Deep is an emotional whirlwind depicting modern layered relationships, lost love and how, sometimes, destiny's plans are quite contrary to what we have been coveting all our life. As Haasil, Pallavi, Palki and Swadha go about life seeking their personal answers and solace, they realize love , after all, is still not done with any of them . . .
I have read lot of novoneels previous work and I kind of loved his work. But this novel is disappointing. Plot story characters nothing make sense. It seems like a lazy writing . All things are predictable even in the ending it was very easy for protagonist to get everything right. Everything seems at so ease that it lacks the thriller factors. Many chapters feels like forced. It was not helping story to fast forward at all. As a fan I am very disappointed by his this novel. Hoping that his next novel will be as good as his previous ones
I have read all of novoneels previous work and I loved them very much..
I was dazzled to see the concept of the author where I can feel both the romance and the mystery moving parallel in this book.
A Thousand Kisses Deep is the sequel to Novoneel Chakraborty's That Kiss in the Rain and the genre is romantic suspense. Amazing work yet again! Powerful characters and no confusion in the story. Every ending of the chapter made me read one more.
Firstly, you should read That Kiss in the Rain before reading this one otherwise you will be lost. This sequel to the romantic suspense book that had a huge impact in my teens, was somewhat of a surprise. I had not expected a book following those events, even though the first book ends on such an interesting point. A Thousand Kisses Deep is not for the faint at heart, it's full of crude language and imagery that can be uncomfortable at times.
For obvious reasons, some might feel deeply connected with Pallavi and Swadha's character in the sequel. Altogether, the character graph of the characters from the first to the sequel was amazingly written. That was yet another best sequel from Novoneel Chakraborty.
PLOT - Pallavi goes on a path of self destruction after being rejected by Haasil by leaving men mentally destroyed. She only wants to get back with Haasil and she hits a perfect opportunity when she accidentally meets Palki Haasils ex wife who was supposedly dead from an accident. She cooks up a big plot which not only involves not only Haasil but also Palki his current wife..Swadha. Will she be able to get back with Haasil or will her elaborate evilish plan backfire?
MY THOUGHTS -
Romance and thrillers are my favourite genre and you combine them and it's a perfect combo for me.
I enjoyed reading Pallavis character..she had this unstable personality which was quite complex and dynamic and I love reading such stories. (Quite a few T/W so check that)
It took me sometime to get into the story as this book is a sequel and some backstory and plot was not explained in this which I feel should have been..so highly recommend that one read the prequel first.
This book was a nice psychological thriller which I binge read.
BOOK WRITTEN BY A MAN, FOR MEN. SUCH POOR WRITING AND MISOGYNISTIC.
I usually don’t go overboard with writing such harsh reviews, but the character Haasil didn’t deserve the ending this book gave him. Felt like a blow to entire womankind.
The ones who wield the writing instrument has such power with them that no one else has. It has the power to profoundly impact a society. Justifying the abusive behaviour of men, and straightaway pointing out the villainous side of women, the author is penning down sexism even more.
“That kiss in the rain” was average. The first half of “A thousand kisses deep” was promising. But the ending was the worst ever. The villain wasn’t just Pallavi. Haasil was the villain too. No matter what the circumstances, a man just shouldn’t be left free after raping a woman.! PERIOD! The entire plot seems to be in a misogynistic world, where whatever Haasil, the man, does, is right. Even the marital rape he commits is justified!!

A Thousand Kisses Deep is the sequel to Novoneel Chakraborty's That Kiss in the Rain and the genre is romantic suspense.
True to the concept, the story begins with the author introducing us to Pallavi, a beautiful, strong yet disturbing character who forms the core for both the books in this series. If you've not yet read the previous read, I suggest you give a quick skim before reading this one in order to understand the story better. I found certain elements of the story abrupt and wasn't able to feel the characters better since they were new to me and I was clearly missing the backgrounds. Pallavi seems fierce and borderline crazy and Haasil is self-obsessed and spoilt with the richness. Palki, his ex appears out of nowhere and comes as surprise to both Haasil and to the readers. It takes a few pages to get the gist of the story and the writing is bland and cut short at many moments to really feel anything for the characters. Although, the chapters were quick and all I had to do was skim and skim until I was done. The tension and unease created to provide the psychological effect on the reader certainly worked because a few chapters were gory and dark and really hard to get over.
Full of love, lust and killer moments, this romantic suspense is recommended for a quick binge read.
"That Kiss in The Rain" & "Thousand Kisses Deep" are perfect examples of a writers old version and new version. Although, both versions if him are very engaging.
This book continues the story of Pallavi, Palki, Haasil with additional characters Swedha and Earav. Love how the author yet again crossed their paths out of the blue which also makes sense and creates a suspense of what will happen next. Every character of this story is about love, hurt and discovering themselves after doing something insane. I love how the story kept me hooked to it until I finished it. Every chapter has a new twists which is quite interesting and engaging.
I'm gonna recommend it to all thriller reader, as well as all the romantic thriller lover. This book will make a place in you heart for sure.
It was a twisted plot altogether. Two things are still left uncovered 1. Pallavi was mentioned as a foster child and Palki resembles her way too much as mentioned... So can we conclude that Palki and Pallavi are blood related sisters? If not then what was the whole point mentioning Pallavi as an adopted one. 2. Eerav was in love with the one who was engaged to someone for the longest time, this was hidden from Eerav before his heart break, can it be Sanjana? And the biggest of all the Characters in the book I believe turned 40 by the time the book ended? N how many offices in total NH consultants have?
*chapters and the starting is literally dragged for no reason *few chapters were unnecessary * the chapter where we wanted the book to be dragged was literally cut-short. *the ending was literally rushed as if the writer had to board a flight. *part 1 was way better then its sequel *this book made me hate haasil every time his character was mentioned. BIGGEST QUESTION AFTER FINISHING THE BOOK, how can someone with no memory still want his first love when he have all memories with the second love?
I had higher expectations from this sequel because I had really enjoyed reading its prequel. Beginning and middle was engaging no doubt but personally I didn’t like the ending. The climax wasn’t that shocking and ending seemed abrupt. I had expected more action and suspense from the story at the end. This novel wasn’t upto the mark as Novoneel’s some other novels have already set the bar high for his readers.
When I read the book's predecessor a decade back, it was something new and exhilarating. It's sequel is bland, exhausting and lacks any thrill at all. Until midway, the story had a good plot, but it went only downhill since and what a horrible end. Just flaming up misogyny through and through.
Amazing work yet again! Powerful characters and no confusion in the story. Every ending of the chapter made me read one more and that's how I finished reading it in 4 hours. Loved it ❤️
This is my first book by this author. I have never read any of his work before. I am thrilled by this book. A great romance. You feel like you are watching it happening infront of your eyes. Very immaculately written. Pallavi is my favourite character from the book. The bloodsucking, ball-busting shapeshifter. All in all it’s a good book. Give it a read you won’t regret it won’t bore you.
A Thousand Kisses Deep by Novoneel Chakraborty follows the events of the That Kiss in the Rain, Pallavi was brutally rejected by Haasil. She had fallen head over heels for him, but couldn't take the place of Palki, Haasil's presumed dead wife. Now months later, Pallavi has found the perfect weapon to destroy Haasil, the man who set her down the path of darkness and destruction. What is the weapon? Will Pallavi succeed in her devious plan?

I had not expected a book following those events, even though the first book ends on such an interesting point. A Thousand Kisses Deep is not for the faint at heart, it's full of crude language and imagery that can be uncomfortable at times.
The main characters are questionably flawed that you can't help but read about them and speculate the consequences of their actions. Haasil being the main male character paled considerably compared to Pallavi. Her personality and her dialogues and her intense self-destructive drive was somewhat of a shock yet an entertaining ride. The author has written this book with such expertise that it keeps your attention in place. It's a quick and action packed read, a perfect pick to drive away those pesky weekend blues.
A Thousand Kisses Deep is a tale of love, loss, fate, and above all, the vengeance that makes Pallavi, the main protagonist, so desperate to destroy Haasil who rejected her. This book is a fast-paced thriller with shocking twists that unravels many secrets of modern-day love and illicit relationships. The plot is very well developed with really strong female characters, every character has so many layers to be unfolded which makes the story interesting as it progresses. Overall, an amazing romantic thriller that keeps the reader hooked till the very last page.
Though this book has just 213 pages but it took me a week to complete. Not one of the best novel of this author. Somewhere in middle I lost interest and was about to give up reading further. Full of manipulation and dramas. Little disappointment as usually I have liked his novels.
Novoneel Chakroborty never ceases to suprise his readers with his last minute twists and turns. This story should keep you hooked till it's last page. You cannot resist not to turn to the next page, until it is the last one!
I have finished this book last evening and still trying to string together to describe how i feel.....I honestly dont know how Novoneel Chakraborty does it with every book he writes.....he literally blows me away!who will believe that its an unplanned sequel???? The suspense....the love.....the desperation....and again the connections....All the feels!!!!This one will keep you on edge (as always) trying to figure out the plot twist and and assuming you know whats happening 😉... trust me its worth all the angst....Loved every bit of it....
I’m a big fan of the author but this was a terrible book and was extremely confusing with no proper closure. I wish there was an impactful ending like his other books.
You could really see how the author's work has improved over the years. This book has added many more layers to each character giving insights into their minds. Could relate to the characters.
Book - A thousand kisses deep Rating - 3⭐ Genre - Romantic thriller
💋Summary : A thousand kisses Deep by Novoneel Chakraborty follows the events of the "That kiss in the rain" book. Hassil viciously turned down Pallavi. Although she was completely smitten with him, she was unable to replace Palki, Hassil's presumably deceased wife. Now, months later, Pallavi has discovered the ideal weapon to eliminate Hassil, the person who led her down the road of evil and devastation. The weapon, what is it? Will Pallavi be successful in her cunning scheme?
💋Review : I liked reading about Pallavis since she had such a volatile personality that was incredibly lively and complex. The novel is undoubtedly a page turner and holds your interest throughout. But everything is so casual that there are no thrilling elements. It seemed forced in many chapters and the story also felt confusing. It was not helping story to fast forward at all. I found it difficult to relate to the characters because they are so flawed. Everything became predictable at one point. It is a one time okaysih read.
It's not that good or that bad. I read other Novoneel Chakroborty's work but this book disappointed me a little. You can predict what is going to be happened next that's why I didn't enjoy while reading this book.
