Holiday Romances #5

Working Summer

Rate this book
It's summer - school's out, surfing is good, and Aiesha is still amazing, but very busy with teaching at academic summer camps. In order to get to see her for a couple of weeks, Kade signs on to also teach at one of the residential summer camps. It means no Max, no Shori, no surfing, but it's only two weeks and Aiesha is worth it. Besides, Kade likes to teach. It'll be fun.

And it is fun, right up until baseless accusations are leveled at her just a few days in. Who is behind it? Will Kade and Aiesha get past it and stay a strong couple? Will their Fourth of July be festive or mired in controversy?

Working holiday for our two heroines, with a little angst. Not sure if this is the last one - if so, brick wall ending!

Strange: at the end of Book 5 it says there are 3 more books in the series = Scary Steps, Gather Together and Christmas Celebration. (All published in late 2022.) Do those exist? Can anyone help me with these? Thanks

This was loads of fun, but also infuriating. I loved seeing Kade in teacher mode and her bond with the students. Also very happy that they got so much time together even with the camp work. The infuriating bit was awful, both situations, and I'm glad things were taken care of appropriately.

As a teacher, who happens to be a lesbian (even though I'm not teaching at the moment), lately I'm always thinking/worrying about how to deal with things like these when I'm back in a classroom. Especially because people are being less afraid of showing hate in the recent years.

Anyway, I cannot wait for the rest of this journey.

The last book in the series...so far. The story continues when Kade and Aiesha go to an academic summer camp. Misunderstandings, feelings of jealousy and closed mined people try to stir things up for the couple. I wish there was more to their story; it seems to just end.

Great Novella

I was on the fence with the 1st one, but once I finished the 2nd I was totally hooked and read all 5 books back-to-back.

Very sweet, I love the bond that grows between Kade & Aiesha with each book and the changes in Kade.

3 stars. Another just fine installment in this series. The writing is good but this is book five and I still have no kind of attachment to these characters. The stories are okay if not forgettable and this one was no different.
