I've just had the shock of my life. Witches don't usually know who fathered them, but mine is standing right in front of me in all of his blazing glory.
I'm not going anywhere without my boys--Karl, a polite yet powerful vampire. Luka, the werewolf with golden retriever energy and the kindest heart I've met. Quinn, a rare male warlock who keeps a falcon as his familiar. And Seth. The incubus who started all this when he bid on my virginity days after my birth.
I've spent my entire life running, and hiding what little powers I did manifest. But I can't run from this, even if it seems impossible. There's no way I'm related to him--Hades. God of the Underworld.
Still a hot mess. A lot of the action/choices didn't make sense. The ending was pretty abrupt, especially without an epilogue. Plus, we never got to see Aggie with Seth, Karl, and Luca outside of their three pumps during the initiation ritual. I would have loved to see them finally together after all the pain and drama was over with, and they were able to just be free with each other in their cottage. I felt cheated.
Ok this is the book in this trilogy and it has a HEA yay. Our main character has finally got of her virginity and she has access to all of her considerable powers now. Life is looking good for her.
Well this was the last book in the series. Again, this series was so similar to the Twilight movies. There were a lot of spelling and grammatical errors. The sex scenes was a bit over kill. I don’t believe the storyline warranted that. I was happy that things circled back and that there was a happy ending!
The third part of the story got so complex and veered off from the sweet beginning in book 1. It was barely about the relationship of Aggie and her boys. It was all Underworld stuff and detached from the story. And Quinn just went off on a side quest. They loved her for who she was and then she discovers she's a God and she's demeaning to them. It kinda went of track. And the typos were killing me. I was eager to finish the story, but not please with the disconnected happy ending.

A must say I started this series excited, the FMC starts off punching someone in the face! The happenstance and relationships between the MMCs was fun, funny, and sweet at times. And I think it all worked because the FMCs was older.
The maturity level quickly dialed down unfortunately where the FMCs spends pages crying, pouting, and not doing anything the shows she is a grown woman who his herself from the world for years without help.
For all this talk about power there is no real answer about how she got it, what it is, and what she received from her father. What's the story with her "mother"? How did Seth and up with the warlocks? Was Quinn just a plot device?
I enjoyed the ending but getting there was very messy and left a lot unexplained. And for sex to be such a bogeyman it really doesn't play much of a role. The potential of the first few chapters in the series didn't really doesn't beat abundant fruit as I hoped by the end.
That was… weird. The first book was off to a decent start, then the second dragged on a bit, but I was still curious enough to continue. By the third there was an entirely different plot (if you could call it that) and a whole new roster of characters. How this went from a witch and her guys to the underworld and mythology is beyond me.
Liked the book and the previous 2, but this one showed too many signs of being published too quickly
All had signs of a lack of proofing but book 3 especially bad. This detracts and annoys the reader as you start to huff when on the same page aname is spelled Tarin and one para below is train!
This one was just weird & the ending was bad. I wouldn’t recommend the series. Also, the amount of spelling mistakes & errors was absolutely insane. 1.5/5
Well… this was not the ending I expected for Aggie’s journey.
Hex Appeal takes the cozy, cottage-core, midlife witch vibes that originally pulled me into this series and throws them straight into the Underworld, mythology, and a wildly tangled plot that feels like a completely different series by book three.
Aggie, who started as a fiercely independent gardening witch with her adorable quad of supernatural suitors, is barely recognisable here. The relationships that grounded the earlier books? Practically nonexistent. Seth, Karl, and Luca (the vampire, warlock, and werewolf) we followed through her sweet, awkward, and lightly spicy quad romance? Mostly background noise this time around. And poor Quinn just… vanishes into a side quest like he accidentally wandered into someone else's story.
By this point, we’ve got an entire new cast of mythological side characters, Underworld lore, and high-stakes plots that don’t feel earned or connected to the original story. The sweet slow-burn romance and soft poly dynamic that made book one such a cozy read? Completely sidelined. Instead, we get Aggie ending up with the villain during a ritual that felt more like a plot obligation than anything remotely romantic or spicy.
Honestly, it’s a bit baffling how this sweet midlife magic romance veered so far off course. The emotional payoff? Missing. The romantic quad? Barely present. The spice? Technically there, but not satisfying.
Tropes: 🧙♀️ Witchy ritual gone off the rails 🧛♂️ Quad romance (in theory, but not in practice) ⚔️ Mythology crossover that wasn’t really asked for 🪦 Villain romance twist (sort of)
Read Rating: 🔮 Spice Scale: 🌶️🌶️ (only counting the ritual scene, but honestly not memorable) Magic Meter: 💫💫💫 (plenty of magic, but not the kind that keeps you emotionally invested)
This made no sense like one weird long acid dream, after spending book 1 and 2 pinning for and helping Ang loving Aggie one of the guys drops out, Aggie’s has a personality switch and becomes a selfish vindictive person, inconsistent plot lines. She didn’t need the ritual because she wasn’t a witch but then suddenly oh she does need it and oh suddenly no longer cares about having an emotional connection before along things further. Has something with some random guard and gives the cherry randomly to Zeus ??? Then suddenly has an attraction to hades who may or may not be her dad but also hates her mom ???? Just all round an awful end to what could have been at least a decent series.
Ohhh and don’t even get me started all that build up only for Aggie’s boys to get three pumps each during the ritual and the only person that actually got to finish and give Aggie the big O was some random God they needed to put back to sleep
I enjoyed reading Hex Appeal(Aggie’s Boys Book 3)!!! All about Aggie a witch who is forty years old & Luka a wolf, Karl who is a vampyre & Seth who is an incubus. In this book Aggie is getting to meet her father for the first time, and also has found out the women who said she was her mother, is not and she meets her true mom as well. The one thing she has always wanted was somebody who would love her unconditionally, but that is something that is elusive, except when she’s with her boys. Read about Aggie & her boy’s as they navigate life and her incredible powers as they move forward. Definite Read!!!
We finally have reached the end of Aggie’s story. There have been numerous ploys & twists but the big question remains; is Aggie ready to come into her inheritance?
A fun, fast paced book. My only complaint is that there are a number of grammar mistakes that I’m shocked an ARC team didn’t catch before the book was published.
Other than that you get really likeable characters and lots of mythology. Plus a ton of magick.
Read in order for the best enjoyment starting with The Forty Year Old Virgin Witch.
Sub-genre jumping nightmare. I signed up for a story about a witch who refused to give up her virginity so she would not come into her full powers that turned into a love story between two of her suitors and she found out that she was actually a goddess and the daughter of Hades. I also don’t think any editing was done beyond spellcheck with a sentence such as “their tucks would have been tucked between their legs”
This was the first book I have gotten a refund for my money.
Reading the first book in this series got my interest. You do have to get all 3 books in the series to find out what happens. The first book of course got my interest, but it ended in a cliff hanger so I had to get the next 2 and I am glad I did! Very exciting, suspenseful and kept me interested until the very end. I read book 3 in 1 1/2 days. Couldn’t put it down. Definitely recommend this series.
I really enjoyed the first two books and I must say I enjoyed the “boys” stories more than Aggie’s arc. I think the goddess thing went a little over the top. But that’s just me. I still enjoyed the characters and the world building. But I’m giving this a three because the staggering number of typos set my teeth on edge. Not sure what happened in this third book but wow! The editing got neglected big time.
This book took a whole different turn than book 1. Now that we know the truth about who Aggie really is, we get to see her come into her own, without her boys at her side. Meanwhile, her boys are working so hard to get back to her.
This book was great for spooky season as Aggie is a strong FMC even when she does not fully see or trust her power. Her boys complement her well and bring a special part to their dynamic.
Abrupt left turn, not sure how we ended up with a story about mom's and dad's, Gods and goddesses, betrayal and redemption, it got rather convoluted and twisted up in this book and became more about godly power and power plays than anything to do with Aggie and her "boys".
The ending was not what I expected, and though not awful, it could have been a lot more romantic after all they had to go through, instead it was "hi honey, I'm home. Done. The End."
Whoa! This book took a turn I was not expecting. Of course I loved the happy ending but there were a few things along the way that just did not sit well with me. It was worth finishing the series but now that I have finished I don’t think I would recommend it to a friend.
So the literal climax of the stories hits a realization and ownership to what she is and who is her father and what is family. Beautiful story and said it is over. Personally the use of word ‘boys’ on men that are quite a bit older than most will ever be was not amusing to me but I understand the camaraderie that was trying to be created.
Such a plot twist from the first 2 books. A lot of new characters in the mix. Even though I missed the one on one stories of Aggie with her boys, I really enjoyed getting the answers to her past. I would love another story after this going back to just Aggie and her boys on another adventure after all they learned.
This book is awesome. It had adventure, romance, sex, paranormal activity and amazing characters. One will never guess how this book ends. This author has quite an imagination and a grip on mythology. I recommend reading this series of books!
So much happened I wanted like 30 more books this world is so filled with possibilities. Also did Karl get is powers where did they go and when will the come back I feel like that can’t really be lost rigtht
Honestly I wanted to know how things ended after all that happened in book 2, but this one started out really slow. I didn't think the pockets of time/alternate realities were necessary to the men deciding that they wanted to move forward with Aggie. Giving them a glimpse of what could have been wasn't actually helpful to the reader and I felt this could have been condensed down considerably. Then to have gone 3 books with no action to jump into a group scene followed immediately by basically infidelity and weirdness was a little much. It started to feel like the author was throwing paint at a canvas to see what stuck and there were a few too many elements. I appreciate that there was a tied up ending but this ultimately felt like a long walk for a short drink of water.
Spice rating: 3/5 Overall rating: 3/5

This was an interesting story I just think with the amount of povs and all the sub plots going on the story would have settled better if it had been longer and not as rushed at the end to tie things up.
This whole story was honestly all over the place. But its was still enjoyable. I wish some of the storyline was a bit more fleshed out because there is so much missing 😅
