Torn Apart

Rate this book
*Please note, this story is a rerelease from Ivy Chapman, now under D.E. Chapman. The story has not changed or altered, other than small editorial corrections.* They thought they were safe. They were wrong. Omegas no longer have rights. They’re considered property. Exploited for their heat and sold to the highest bidder. For twin omegas, Seraphine and Arden, discovery means suffering at the hands of alphas. They assumed they were safe. They were unprepared for the horror that found them. Torn from their home, the twins are separated for the first time in their lives. Can they survive the hell at their captors’ hands long enough to find one another? **This reverse harem, omegaverse novel is not for the faint of heart. Torn Apart contains graphic sexual content and dark situations that may not be suitable for everyone. Trigger this book contains total power exchange and scenes that might be upsetting for some. Some scenes feature m/m/f and f/m/m/m. Be advised, this is a #whychoose story as the main character ends up with more than one mate at the end of this book.

USA Today bestselling author, D.E. Chapman is a fantasy novel addict that reads them as much as she writes them, often pretending to be her characters. After all, life is infinitely more exciting with magic and dragons. She hopes to one day write a book so fantastical that it creates a portal to another world. But beware, not all she writes is sunshine and happy endings. There are darker stories hiding within the depths of her mind, filled with mature content and twisted themes, so tread with caution!

I like dark. I like it a lot. But this is disturbing. Essentially gore porn. If that's what you're looking for, this will be a great option for you. This is a short story and the first chapter or two has world building. While I've enjoyed previous dark work from D.E. Chapman, this is too much for me. I don't really have triggers and this story left me unsettled. I guess you could say things are better by the ending but only in a very limited sense. Unless you want to read about very explicit torture, do NOT read this.

I decided to read this book because I've enjoyed other books of the author. I knew what to expect from the reviews. This is truly gore porn. But that's not what bothers me. What bothers me the omega (male) x alpha (female) duo. The book is split between the omega twins, a male and a female. I was reading both povs until I got bored with the omega male pov and focused solely on the female omega pov. I'm not much interested in omega males who take it from a strong alpha female and other males.

I don't mind the gore at all, or the tough topics such as assault and mistreatment of omegas and alphas alike. What I do mind is that we didn't get to know the alphas for these omegas at all. We got appearances, but otherwise such little interaction I couldn't even root for them to succeed. If there was more conversation, I think I could've enjoyed the book.

This book is dark and sad. It's very emotional and disturbing, but I was so glad at the end. I am surprised it was given so much hate I mean isn't a good book one that makes you feel something so strongly.

I’m not sure how I feel about this book due to the graphic content to one of the heroines. It did keep me going so I am going to try the next book in Kindle Unlimited.

I don’t think this book deserves the low stars it got so
I upped my rating a bit. The book is called torn apart so what did you expect? People read a book without realizing what kind of book it was and then gave it a bad review. This book is not for anyone that has triggers. It is filled with torture and SA. It is a short book so no one should be expecting any kind of character growth or too much world building. I thought it was a decent book. The rough details did go a little deeper than I expected but wasn’t badly done at all. Wrapped up very quickly imo so didn’t feel the ending was satisfying. I wanted to see some payback lol. Decent quick read.
