One Chance
I need a vacation from my vacation.
First, my flight is delayed, and I miss most of the first night of food, fun and frolicking with my friends.

This is absolutely ridiculous, but it was fun. I mean, it's a novella with insta-love at its finest. Add in a dash of kidnapping. But wait, is it kidnapping, though, if she's a willing participant? 😂 Be that as it may, it was a short, quick read, and also DUAL V. What could I ask for more? 🤭

These two characters charmed one another and grasped onto that brass ring of life to complete each other perfectly.

I think Chance might be even more possessive/obsessive than Tor, and I wasn’t sure that was possible. Lol.
This was a little bit longer than the first book of the series and yet it felt shorter somehow.
There’s only the tiniest bit of drama and it has to do with a road, so it was cleared up Very fast.
The smut was hot. We have a double virgin, age gap, insta-love, with a veteran who’s working as a part time bouncer at the resort his friend owns, and a chef who’s got 2 of her own restaurants back home and is on ‘vacation’ with her culinary school friends.
There’s a little bit of a power exchange, and some spanking, and I thought it was super hot.

Dani Wyatt continues the
Meant To Be
series by focusing on Sophia—Tor and Cyrus' spitfire of a sister who happens to be a workaholic chef. This book can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading Tor and Natalie's book, Two Wrongs, because their relationship was referenced and I also loved that one. Sophia and Chance's story was similarly hot and dirty, which I really enjoyed as well. Their chemistry was immediate and it certainly had that signature love/lust at first sight between the two that Dani Wyatt usually writes in her books. Chance took one look at Sophia and knew that she was it for him.
The story begins with Tor and Natalie taking Sophia to the airport for her yearly and desperately needed vacation trip. Despite her apprehension due to her workaholic nature, Sophia ends up going to this trip and ends up meeting Chance there. If I were to describe her personality, Sophia is witty, snarky, confident, defiant, and trusting. Chance was an interesting character and I had a difficult time understanding him at first because of his actions. I absolutely can't wait to read Cyrus' book—the "darker" brother and "black sheep" of the family. He's got a scent like trouble and lust and it feels like every inch of my skin flickers to life.
Sophia is an independent 26 year old and restaurant owner. She goes with her culinary friends to San Phillipe. There, her vacation takes a turn. She meets 37 year old Chance- the security guard at the pool where her and her friends were visiting. Instalove strikes, Chance saves her from a sticky situation, and everything turns hot and heavy!
Twenty-six years of all work and no play have made Sophia want to be a very bad girl, and I think I've found the bad boy to make all my dirty dreams come true.

Dnf - Misogyny is bad for everyone
At the end of chapter 1, there's an interaction between the 2 MCs and an unnamed woman that is so thickly laced with misogyny it turned me off from either MC so I stopped reading.
I wish romance author's would stop writing about women who h8te other women. This whole "not like other girls" trope is outdated and sad. It doesn't make me identify or sympathize with the heroine. I can easily tell why she doesn't have good friends. Also, any man who immediately supports your bullying of another woman will eventually apply the same tactics towards you.

I loved Chance and Sophia's story! Chance was so possessive and protective of Sophia. Chance didn't want her to leave and even though her brothers got in the way of their love for a little bit that didn't stop Chance from getting her back.

Can you say Hot.......this book was quick and amazing. I was already in love with Sophia when we met her in Tor book. Sophia is headed for vacation when she meets the caveman of all cavemen Chance. This is a must-read hot and heavy book. I can't wait to meet Cyrus's love interest.
