This book was very challenging for me personally. But I also truly loved reading it as his life and teachings are so unique. Or rather, not unique - but it is often so unusual to read about someone who followed Christ’s commandments to the letter of the law. I particularly liked his reading his letters at the end to various people who contacted him. My favourite was to (presumably) a young girl, where he exhorts her to learn to play the piano! So relatable, and funny too. Definitely recommended. I plan to read the book about his life from Elder Joseph of Vatopaidi next.
