Solace 3 picks up right where part two left off at — with Haram coming home to an empty house and DNA results confirming that he's the father of Khadijah's child. With Tokyo nowhere to be found, and her unwillingness to hear him out, the uncertainty behind their relationship sends Haram through a whirlwind of emotions and mental instability. What happens when Haram's psychosis gets so out of control that he ends up putting the lives of the people he loves at risk?
Tokyo's new discovery breaks her heart to pieces. Haram keeping such a grave secret from her brings her childhood trauma to the forefront, making it difficult for her to give into what initially could be seen as unconditional love. Tokyo's constant battle with her mind and heart comes with their own share of emotional instability too. But it isn't that, that wreaks a bit of havoc in her life. It's karma.
Solace 3, the conclusion to the highly anticipated series, is full of secrets, lies, jaw dropping moments, and heartbreak that is guaranteed to tug at your heartstrings.
For as long as Miss Candice could remember, writing has been her passion. In the beginning, she wrote poetry. Later on in life, when she was about thirteen years old, she was introduced to fanfiction.
The Coldest Winter Ever was the first urban fiction book she read. It wast then when she took Fanfiction to another level. She perfected her writing skills, and began to write Urban fanfiction. At first, writing was something she did in her spare time. Something that was therapeutic to her. Never in a million years, did she think she would become a published author, although it has always been a dream of hers.
Now, at the age of twenty-eight, she's penned over ten bestselling novels with many more to come.
In addition to writing, She's also CEO and founder of Miss Candice Presents.
Whew Haram had me on edge the majority of this book. I was scared to keep reading because he was so unpredictable, I didn't know what he was going to do or when he was going to fly off the handle. My heart broke for him when he was begging for Tokyo to hear him out and the way he spiraled over the next few days was a lot. Looking back at all the drama lying heaux azz Khadijah caused she deserved all the smoke she received and more. Why is it always lying heauxs that do the most when they have no right to, the audacity smh. Anyway the necessity of family makes both Haram and Tokyo realize how short life is and how important they were to each other. Haram was finally able to not lose sight of what is important and to lock in for himself and his family. His growth, even though he was still slightly unhinged was a good look for him.
I enjoyed the relationships of the brothers, the Knights really. Cavalli, Syn, and Haram were the definition of I am my brother's keeper. I loved how Cavalli and Syn took care of Haram and loved him through his worst. Krystal she was trying her best as a mother. She worried about Haram and his mental state constantly. However, he was grown and wasn't making the best decisions for himself, but she was a rider and I loved the way she looked out for him.
The editing could have been tighter. There were times where the main characters Tokyo and Syn's names were misspelled which is a pet peeve of mine. I also felt like the ending was slightly rushed. I love a good epilogue and this one lacked. I honestly wanted just a little time with Haram as a real father in a healthy state and that wasn't realized.
Overall it was a good book and I enjoyed the Knight Brothers, Tokyo, and Legacy. I look forward to reading more stories by Miss Candice.
Bravo Miss Candice!!! You did that! I loved this series. I loved the healing and growth between Haram and Tokyo. This series took us down a deep hole of grief, depression, mental illness, healing and happiness! Despite their drama, I loved how this family rode for each other! Syn and Cavalli were the true definition of my brothers keeper. I know dealing with Haram was a challenge but they never gave up on him. Diara and Khadijah were delusional! Whew Khadijah especially! These women will learn one day to believe what a man tells them and to stop creating these fairytales in their heads! I need to go find me a book about roses and butterflies after this 😩
I decided to read the entire series before I left my review so I could get the whole picture. I realllllllly wanted to give this series 5stars, but sadly I just couldn't.
I absolutely loved the plot and theme of this love story! I loved that it wasn't the typical good girl/bad boy structure, even though it's definitely my favorite to read. There were a lot of components that made this story stand out amongst similar writes. Having two broken people make each other whole is an amazing read, however the delivery is what ruined it for me.
In my opinion, there was wayyyy too many description paragraphs and not enough dialogue. I felt that about 80% of the story was told by the author or read through the characters thoughts and that made it extremely hard to read. I ended up skimming those parts and jumping to the dialogue parts in book 3 because I couldn't take it anymore. I feel that it's best to let the characters tell us their story through their interactions with the other characters and the narrator/inner monologue be minimal and only used when situations call for it. I felt like I was being told about their lives majority of the book instead of experiencing it through the characters. This also created a lot of repetition.
I absolutely loved the characters growth, it was amazing to see a strong man face mental health issues, however I would have also loved to see him get help through therapy to further enhance his growth and development after all he came down from. It was hard to believe that all it took was his brother being shot to start taking his meds regularly, again. He was battling week long depression episodes and manic states and all of a sudden he is now more responsible with his meds. I found it hard to accept with the severity of his condition. There was also a lot of time jumping around that wasn't clearly stated so it was easy to get lost in what was happening, or where they were in the time frame of the story. I'm happy with how the story went, I just wish it was easier to read. I may look into this authors future work to see the development of her writing style since majority of her writing skills are great! I hope to read more in the future!

Solace 3 picks up where Solace 2 left off. Now that Tokyo knows Haram’s secret, this newfound information could be a deal breaker for her. While Tokyo Is nowhere to be found, Haram falls into a deep depression. While trying to manage his Bipolar Disorder and mend his broken heart, Haram continues to spiral out of control. His self-destructive behavior is brought to an abrupt halt when faced with a near-death experience involving a loved one.
Only after reading all three can anyone really write an honest review I read all three back to back had I had to wait for subsequent instalment I would have been irritated it is very much one story.
I loved the story and many of the characters, Haram really did give a very educated insight into the life of someone with a mental health issue and the things he experienced within that was very well written.
I think my favourite part was the last page explaining that there will be no follow up couples stories told- what happened to them is just hilarious!
One thing I loved about this series was the realness and passion it was written with. This Author touched on a subject that many people. Especially Black people have swept under the rug for decades because they didn't want to be associated with mental illness. Haram had an aggressive form of Bipolar Disorder. As much as his mother and brother's tried to educate themselves on his mental illness and understand him. They really couldn't but they did know what his triggers were and when he became Manic. Tokyo loving Haram despite his illness had him wanting to do better. However with Tokyo learning the truth about Khadijah and Haram hiding it from her. I thought it was going to be the end of their relationship. I don't blame Krystal for what she did. As a woman and a mother. We tend to know when a female is up to no good and Khadijah had scandalous written all over her. Syn should've known that Diara was going to find a way to tell Legacy the truth about them creeping. Legacy knew Syn was up to no good but her heart wouldn't let her believe it until Diara told. Cavillie almost lost his life. Glad he made it. Now I don't agree with how Syn and Haram did Quay. Anybody would feel some type of way about someone putting their hands on their younger sibling. True enough Haram was having a episode but I believe it could've been worked out had Quay not went behind their back feeding Jive information. Tempest was dumb ass hell for what she did to Tokyo. She should've known that Haram wasn't going to let that slide.
Words can not describe how phenomenal this series is. One thing for certain, two things for sure, Miss Candice put her entire heart and soul into this beautiful story. It definitely shows! My God, Tok & Ram have had me in a chokehold for months. Now normally, I would’ve devoured a book in this series by now. But since it was the finale, I read it slowly and took my mf time. Truth be told, I am not ready to let go of my people. Yes, I said “my people” 😩🥹😂😂. I love Tok. Love, love, love her! And Ram… well, he holds a special place in my heart. Listen… I have never met a male character that makes me love him in more than one way. As weird as it sounds, I loved Ram as a book bae, as a little brother that I wanted to protect, and in my head, I was his therapist too.🤣😩 I was rooting for my boy and coaching him in my mind. This series took me through the motions and I truly enjoyed every moment of it. The fact the author touched on Bipolar about did it for me. She displayed it so perfectly. There’s a difference between show and tell when it comes to writing. And babyyy, Miss Candice took us on one hell of a journey with Ram. Thank you for this amazing story. And don’t ever let someone tell you different about this masterpiece you’ve created. There’s also a difference between a fact and an opinion. The fact is….you wrote tf out this series and that’s that‼️‼️ I don’t want to hear different.🥹😂🤍 Bravo.
I feel like I went on such a rollercoaster with this series. There were relationship ups and downs, family drama, friendship drama, bad decisions, and unwelcome surprises. I've never been a person to root for someone to put their hands on someone else (regardless of gender) but I felt that it was justified in Bookland that Haram did what he did to Khadijah. Why would someone want to be with someone so bad who doesn't want them back? And at the expense of other people getting hurt!
At the beginning of this particular installment I wasn't quite sure how Haram was going to right his wrong because that was a BIG wrong. He and Tokyo both had a lot of growing up to do and they did a lot of that in a short amount of time. As toxic as it was I was yelling at her to take him back when he showed up to the hotel begging her to come home. Again, this is something that I can only justify in Bookland because IRL I would have stood firm on the decision that Tokyo made.
I loved the relationship between Haram and his brothers. They fought and disagreed (as siblings do) but could always be counted on to have one another's back. Also, I'm glad Legacy was made aware of Syn's situation. He deserved to be unhappy with the way he did her...and I stand on that.
I loved the little wrap up at the end of what happened to the rest of the characters. Sometimes it's hard to let your favorite characters go (especially when you've had them for a few books) and everyone is always wanting a spinoff. I gotta get through this ever-growing TBR...I can't keep doing these 10+ book series! Thank you Miss Candice for saying no! lol
I loved this series!! It's was chef's kiss!! Miss Candice did her Thang with this one. From his first interaction with Tokyo at the block party, I was in love with Haram. With his flaws and all. Tokyo found a real one when she finally stopped judging him from past situations. I felt like Miss Candice showed Haram's mental illness and personality well. I don't have anything to say about Tokyo but that she fits Haram perfectly. They're just it. They just click. They're just each other's person. And everybody saw it. The way Haram was there for Tokyo was swoon worthy! The fact that he'd been watching her since they were little kids was sooo cute!! And she low key watched him too!
I like that all the loose ends got tied up in the last book. Happy Legacy didn't take Syn trifling ass back. Talking about him, he loved her but was running from love. The dude cheated the WHOLE RELATIONSHIP and had the nerve to think he would be taken back after getting rid of Diara. Didn't see Tempest dying either. I knew from jump that she was jealous of Tempest and wasn't a true friend. However, once it was revealed that it was her snuck Tokyo, I knew she had just signed her death warrant. Haram didn't hesitate at all either 😬
I devoured this series! It was entertaining from the beginning to the end! I highly recommend it!

Krystal Knight don’t play babeeee about her sons! She will go to the ends of the earth. After Tokyo leaves Haram when the blood test results are dropped off at their home, he is sick, distraught and still not able to face his new role as a father. Legacy is going through it with Syn but too ashamed to discuss with her bff. Meanwhile criminals always return to the scene and when Sarah and MIichael come back to Mae’s home, Tokyo is right there ready to do the inevitable but Space is there. Haram pulls out every stop he can but Tokyo is still in processing mode. Meanwhile Haram is going through quite a few changes but he has always vowed to get Jive. This vendetta may cost someone their life! Khadijah keeps bugging Haram to be a better dad. Krystal goes into detective role when she hears the DNA results were dropped off by someone. Where they do that at? Tempest is lurking to get a lick back since Tokyo beat the brakes off of her twice! Legacy busts Syn for the last and she’s done and fine on her own! Haram is trying to do grown-up things and make grown man decisions. Tokyo is still looking for her bookstore and stay on top of Space but something is brewing, well quite a few things and if the Knight brothers are in it, it won’t be nothing nice!
This was so goooooood!!! I love love love the way that Haram and Tokyo loved each other. More specifically the way Haram loved her. And it was a good thing because I was just saying how all of this author’s main male characters seemed like the same person with different names and backgrounds well she proved me the hell wrong. She showed true growth because this male character…I’ve never read nothing like him. He had his issues that he was suffering from but he loved that girl so much and I could feel all of his emotions as I was reading. It was short and I wish there was more but I must say this story ended perfectly.
I'm so happy with how this story turned out! It seems like I waited forever, but really things kind of content must take time and patience to craft.. Miss Candice shed such beautiful light on the struggles of a young man suffering from mental illness and I lobe how his family consistently stood in the gap for him. His brothers were definitely his keeper. Haram and Tokyo were a young couple whose souls knew and loved one another before their bodies and brains caught up. Haram's growth and maturity, Tokyo's evolution from broken girl to businesswoman. And LEGACY!!!! Yes, Queen! If you didn't read the thank you note at the end, you missed it! Really enjoyed this story and it was very much worth the wait!
I don’t know what else to say but 1-click immediately lol!!! No but frfr I got to give it to our beautiful black Authoress’s lately y’all have been doing a great job at highlighting our mental illness issues amongst others that we “as in our black community “ don’t like to talk about or deal with , but y’all have been highlighting it in a way in which it makes it easier for us to understand y it’s so important to get a handle on these issues and it’s ok to get help, counseling, medicine anything that helped to make your life livable and enjoyable instead of it being not doing anything about it and it being your downfall!! This series was so good it gave u all the fees of AMAZING!!!!!
Ok I had flashbacks that Tokyo was backsliding into depression but then she kinda got on my nerves with the stubbornness but eventually she got it together. Legacy got it together too and left Syn alone for good. She loved herself enough to know her worth and that’s what he gets. Not sure how I feel about Tempest or Khadijah. The brothers growth was great especially Haram he took ownership of his condition instead of letting it own him. It’s not often you read a book about mental illness and drug abuse and this is the second story I’ve read by this author that touched on these topics without making it taboo or making the person crazy. I definitely will be reading more of her books.
I absolutely loved Tokyo and Haram. They are the cutest couple I've read about in awhile. It's not often that I come across a story where I love the main couple both as individuals and as a couple. I swear this book had me in near tears and laughing through the whole book. I'm glad Tok stopped being stubborn and realized life too short to let past trauma take away your soulmate. I fell in love with Haram when he was about to beat the frozen water bottle to death in the sink lmao. I just could not with him. Haram is definitely bae, bipolar and all. He gave his family a run for their money for sure lol but they didn't mind too much despite all his shenanigans lol. I loved this series. Read it.
The finale to Solace wasn't exactly my favorite. I think that in this book we seen so much of what we already seen in previous books. Such as Haram going through his maniac state and how he handles that. We have also seen Tokyo trying to be hyper independent and it not go the way she wanted it to go. I think that I wanted a bit more. I wanted to see them thrive and come into their own. I think that this book truly showcased how much they depend on each other. I would've loved to see Haram seek professional help along with Tokyo getting help for her and her sister. I just think that I wanted a bit more and was let down a bit. Overall this was a good series that will tug on your heart strings in many ways.
This was an emotional rollercoaster! Haram and Tokyo kept me in tears with all of their ups and downs. Tokyo kept so much bottled up from her childhood that forgiveness was hard for her. Haram was the same way due to his illness. Khadijah was wrong and deserved whatever karma she received. Syn should have known that he would eventually get caught up with his cheating. Legacy was hurt but strong enough to move forward. Haram and Tokyo finally got it together and things were great for them. Their love was amazing. Tempest should have known she would meet her demise. Awesome ending to this series.
This series was 🔥. I loved Ram & Tok together & seeing them work through her insecurities & his mental illness. I think I shed tears on Ram's & Vali's scene in the hospital because speaking from personal experience we really take on & go through when a loved one is ill/sick. We hurt when they hurt etc. Anyway I love loved this series & glad Legacy moved on & not looking back!!
This series was amazing! Thank you so much for taking your time with it. The level of understanding this story hit me with……. Oh chile! Haram is something else but we got to see more in depth his love for Tokyo. Tokyo is me! Such an over thinker ruining shit before it even happens. Thank you for this because it has truly help me mentally. You are an amazing author, keep up the good work
It super immature, long winded, and boring. As much as I wanted to see how it all ended, it was a struggle to finish. The lack of actual dialog is crazy. Being able to read everyone’s inner thought and point of view was a waste of reading time. Like why did we need to read about what Daria, Jive, or Khadijah’s mom thought. It made things confusing at times.
There was not actually characters growth and the HEA seemed forced.
First of the real ending was funny. How you gone tell us not to come in the comment for a story about Legacy,,Syn and Cavalli? Lol but it’s wild that’s Jaram isn’t Haram’s but I’m happy that his first is with his first everything. I really thought it was Tokyo’s father that hit her over the head smh. I’m just happy for Tok and Space. I’d love to hear Legacy story and watch Syn sweat when he see her with someone else.
Thank God for Krystal, I guess that’s why Haram never had a true attachment to J. Khadijah really was a lame. Tempest messed with the wrong one, like she has to be the dumbest criminal ever. So glad that Vali pulled through his ordeal. Syn fumbled big time!! I’m glad Legacy moved on from that. Tok and Haram are one of my favorite couples up there with Ivy and Keem. I’m so glad they got their happy and Haram was able to not let his mental illness beat him. It
Overall, I enjoyed this series. And while the finale wasn’t my favorite, it was still entertaining. But it was also angsty and repetitive.
I didn’t like some of the conclusions. Especially concerning harming women, Syn handled Diara for something he caused. How did that make sense? What happened to Tempest was a bit much?
One thing that consistently annoyed me throughout the series was the contradictory statements. But again, this was entertaining and quick reads.
Well Tokyo and Haram broke up, fought their feelings towards each other, jumped to random conclusions, witnessed Haram go manic, argued, and finally communicated after Cavallie gets shot. It took a tragedy to get Haram back on his meds and a have a conversation about his feelings and for Tokyo to discuss her fears. Krystal’s enabling of Haram did not help either but she came through about Khadijah’s baby. Glad Legacy moved on and Tempest got what was coming to her.
This was a great series Tokyo went through so much to raise herself. I was hurting so bad when her a d Haram went through their stuff. They both just needed someone to love and and really mean it. I'm sad for Syn and Legacy. I need them to get together and get a story also with Caville and Koi. Great read.
Great ending to a great series! I loved the growth in Haram and Tokyo! I’m glad the Legacy didn’t go back. Khadijah….whew!!! She was so wrong. Im glad Krystal was looking out for Haram’s best interest. Tempest just didn’t believe fat meat was greasy and got exactly what she was looking for. Great read!
Pretty good read... it definitely kept me on my toes. At times I did feel like it was just way to many details, but I liked the character development. I was so happy Legacy didn't give in and Tempest was straight trash and deserved what she got! I would lovvve to hear more from Tokyo and Haram because together they stole my heart!
I love this series Solace was the epitome of heartbreak, love, loyalty and family. Tokyo and Haram deserved everything came to them and my girl Legacy is a true boss because she stood tall even during her lowest. Miss Candace didn’t miss a beat with this series I loved it
Miss Candice, thank you for "Solace 3!" This was a wonderful conclusion to this series! My hope is that Syn and Cavalli will get their HEAs with Legacy and Koi. I loved how Haram's bipolar disorder was realistically depicted! He and Tokyo finally found solace in each other!
