Bob had survived in this new mid-evil land with the help of his sorceress' mistress.. After the King's martial arts tournament, Bob was awarded the hand in marriage of the lovely Princess Lila. This relationship initially started on a rocky road, but as time passed by the haughty princess realized that she deeply loved her husband. Now established as the Duke and Duchess of the Northern Province, both Bob and Lila were content. Contentment is often a short lived thing. The Duchy was now faced with a possible war that was vastly in favor of the Barbaria Queen Tara Lacon and her horde of ruthless savages. Outnumbered three to one, Duke Bob Cranford's army had a small chance of saving their homes and families. The barbarians were famous for slaughtering all opposing soldiers, then raping and murdering their women. The only way to win this war was to pull out all of the tricks Bob could call on from his past life to defeat an army three times the size that his territory could muster. They could only win with lots of luck and maybe a little help from a powerful sorceress.
I really enjoyed this book. It isn't graphic but it does express the point quite clearly. A problem from the first book is taken care of and good riddance. But the funniest part is the hen meetings. LOL, ROTFL! 5*****
