In less than a week, America will select her new president.
Three candidates are tied in a dead heat.
But one of them is about to step into a lethal trap.

From twenty-four hundred yards, an invisible shooter takes an impossible shot. As the gun smoke clears and panic erupts, the Free World is once again threatened with the prospect of chaos.

Pulled out of a blissful family vacation, Reed Montgomery watches the carnage unfold on cable news, as helpless as any other American.

But then the phone rings and Reed’s Prosecution Force is called into action.

Because the shooter is still out there, and he's already picked his next target.

Unless Reed acts quickly, he's going to strike again. The third title in Logan Ryles's gritty Prosecution Force Series brings everything back to home for an action-packed mystery. From Chicago to Belarus to the Bahamas, Reed and his team will do whatever it takes to catch a killer before it's too late. _________________ What readers are ★★★★★ "Wow..."

It was good enough that I purchased the next book in the series. I am curious how Ryles will work in a new character of the team in future books.

Action packed Reed Montgomery thriller!

Election Day is an excellent addition to the Prosecution Force thriller series. Along with the nonstop action ana intrigue of its predecessors I began to realize just how invested in these characters I have become. While the main story arc is straight forward, there are so many layers behind it you begin to wonder who is pulling the shooter’s strings. While Reed and his team are invited on the case it appears there isn’t just push back for them to find the shooter, it seems like there is outright obfuscation by some of the three letter agencies.

Once again Mr. Ryles does an excellent job of developing characters in this series especially Vice President Stratton. In the previous books he hasn’t been fully informed of the Prosecution Force, however when faced with the reality of the situation one is left to wonder if he is fully supporting them or if he has ulterior motives once he comes to understand their capabilities.

While I was late to discover Logan Ryles’ writing I know I’ll be going back and reading his previous books to not only get the full backstory on Reed Montgomery, but to find out what his Mason Sharpe series is all about.

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This story starts with Maggie on the campaign trail with the election only a week away. She finally gets to Chicago for a rally and as she is speaking, she gets shot. O'Dell saw the shot coming and tackled Maggie. Maggie went to the hospital and thats when O'Dell called Reed and his team to help locate the shooter. Reed and Turk arrive and it seems the Secret Service doesn't want to take their suggestions of how to protect Maggie.

The story continues with Reed and his group examining what information is available. Reed tells the Secret Service once again that the shooter would be trying once again. Soon after, Reed chases the shooter after another attempt was made on Maggie.

Follow Reed, Turk and Wolfgang as they hunt the killer. Read the exciting conclusion as they finally get close to the killer. Learn who is behind the plot, you won't be able to guess that easily.

The story is a great continuation of the series and I look forward to the next one. I recommend this author and all of his series, they definitely keep you reading on.

I started reading this series at a time I was looking for a distraction, and raced through the first three novels. In this thriller, we once again get shallow characters, unrealistic political situations, submarines, guns of all sorts, bombs, over-caricatured killers, and used up assassins that the author seems to have a soft spot for.

The President of the United States is unconscious through almost the entire novel, due to two assassination attempts. The Vice President is suspect. So is big oil. So is Russia. It is Election Day and the polls suggest a three way race that is too close to call.

The novel fails to satisfy if a reader is interested in politics, character depth, or careful story-craft. But if the reader is looking for a mindless break, there is plenty of suspense, killing, and warm fuzzy endings for the expanding cast of the Prosecution Force crew.

Just when I thought Reed and Banks were retiring to a white sand beach, here he comes again. Just days from election day, acting President Maggie Trousdale is fatally wounded. Only her trusted body guard O’Dell kept her from certain death from an assassin’s bullet. What made the shot remarkable was the extraordinary distance. Very few snipers could make that shot, without a spotter, in the windy city of Chicago. Looks like Reed and Turk are on the road again. It is going to take the entire gang to figure this one out. Who was the assassin? Who paid him and who is behind the whole thing? There are lots of possibilities and it gets very involved. Even VP Stratton isn’t above suspicion. For fans of Reed Montgomery, this might be the best one yet, and that is saying a lot!

Great story with one glaring technical error

I've read all three boos in the series. Overall I enjoy the characters and the stories. They are largely realistic (with the standard suspension of reality required for this genre) but this one had a glaring technical error. SPOILER ALERT...Ryles allows that oxygen is "highly explosive". Oxygen allows computable materials to burn. More oxygen increases the rate of burn, but it needs fuel to do so. The thread carries over several chapters and I was distracted by it. Other than that it was pretty fast paced kept me engaged.

The story gets better the characters more interesting

Book 3 and the pace has not lightened up. Reed & Turk in the thick of it and Lucy & Wolf always there to help when needed
Reed now has a family which adds an extra dynamic and Turk looks to be about to get one
This time round it's a new assassin, but in reality no real surprises. The usual process of attempts, chases, investigations and finale, but all done very well by the author and enough left at the end to make for an obvious book 4

Another winner

Yet again Montgomery Reed and his team are faced with the prospect of trying to save America and ultimately the world from the chaos caused by an International player who wants revenge and ultimately the death of the President of the United States.
However the plot fails after the President is shot and although seriously injured survives, which brings Reed and his team into the equation as they hunt down the sniper whilst trying to answer the question of who employed him.

President Trousdale is up for re-election, but her political enemies don’t plan for her to live long enough to see Election Day. Will her elite off-the-books special ops team be able to stop her would-be assassin?

These have been fun, easy, entertaining books. My favorite genre is political thrillers, and this one hit the mark — a disrupted election, domestic and foreign interference, and suspicions cast upon people within the administration. I’m looking forward to reading more in this series!

long wait

Finished this one and immediately went to look for the next installment. Bummed to see I have to wait until next August.
Great new adventure for Reed and company. I really liked the twists and turns that kept me guessing.
Keep them coming and I will keep reading.
Logan Ryles has officially become one of my favorite authors. His last two books are the best and he just keeps getting better.

The best yet

For Prosecution Force fans this is the best so far in an excellent series. Reed and Turk are summoned back in to action after an assassination attempt on President Trousdale. Identifying their target, and his employer, they set out to track both down. There’s a lot of unfinished business to continue the series, and the location of the next book may not be entirely coincidental. This is extremely fast paced and keeps you hooked from first page to last.

Reed Montgomery becomes a stable patriot

Reed Montgomery has been a fugitive and man of questionable character, but we all knew there was a pure heart under the rough exterior. Election Day exposes Reeds longing for a stable life with the full understanding that there will be instances of chaos as he protects his family, country and values.

Each one gets better

I love the way Logan ryles presents his characters and the action that never stops. Do you think you have one thing figured out and then the next mystery develops. Reed and his friends go after the assassin who attempted the presidents life. I can’t wait for the next one!

An average story.

The book starts slowly but then catches pace as the story moves on. Unlike the previous two books, this book is a little disappointing towards the end. While it looks like that the story has a logical end, but since the closed on the plot was not achieved, it is safe to say that enough pointers were left pointing to the next book in the series.

A Third Act Dip

Ryles is a great writer, and has churned out a lot of books quickly. This is another strong start for the Prosecution Force, but the novel loses a lot of steam in the third act, making it challenging to stay engaged with the characters.
