An abandoned girl tells her coming of age story among the wolves that adopted her. When humans with nefarious motives capture her pack, she must to seek a way to rescue them.
Finding herself again without a family, she teams up with some unlikely allies, including a wolf from a rival pack and an orphan boy who was raised by stray dogs. This band of misfits must learn to work as a pack to save their families and prove they deserve to be Wild and Free.
Wonderful read! Met the author at my local farmer’s market and was enticed by the synopsis. Captivating storyline and loved the young, courageous main character. Hope to read more adventurous tales from this author in the future!
Review: Wild & Free by Willow Terez-Annaliese Hofner. 4* 09/16/2022
This was an Early Reviewer’s book that I enjoyed reading. The story was told by Willow’s point of view who is still a child and had editing help from an adult. I enjoyed her characters, her awareness to detail was accurate and I liked the way she created the dialog to have the story flow without a flaw. The ten-year-old author took a step beyond her years. The story was amazing and held the readers attention to the very last page. I believe this young girl is going places beyond the forest of wolves.
Biased opinion, as it is my 12-year-old daughter's book, but I think it is very good! Many others, with less reason to be biased, have also told her it is very good!
Willow was abandoned as a baby and raised with wolves. She hunts and lives among the wolf pack as one of them. When her pack is captured she stets out to rescue them and save her home. Along the way she meets new friends and danger as they set on their quest for justice.
Told from Willow's point of view with likable characters, engaging dialog, attention to detail and amazing photos that captured the story. I was pulled in from the first page until the last.
Overall I found Wild & Free very enjoyable. I highly recommend to readers of all ages. A true five star must-read.
I love this book because it reminds me of my childhood, the games I used to play as a kid, and how anything could happen no matter how unrealistic. It feels like a dream. Young readers may find it fun and enjoyable, while older readers, including myself, may find it nostalgic.
This book was amazing and unique! I learned many new things about wolves through this move while reading it to my son. He enjoyed it, too. I am still amazed that it was written by a 12-year-old who began writing it when she was 10-years-old. Cannot wait to read more by Annaliese Hofner!! Wonderful first novel!!
Fantastic tale filled with nonstop action will draw you in from the start and leave you wanting more after the last page. Can't wait to read more from this young author!
Was and imaginative and well written story. The author describes the characters and settings extremely well. Knowing the age of the author it was an extremely good book, and look forward to her developing her skills.
Nice children's story. The author wrote this at the age of 10. The book also includes hand drawn illustrations. Very imaginative story of a child raised by wolves.
