This is a well written second chance romance with strong characters in Devlin and Samerah. The author does a great job building the story and moves it quickly and smoothly with her descriptive writing. I enjoyed reading their story.

Continuing with the Rangers in Alaska series, we arrive at the story of Samerah and Devlin. Samerah who was about to get married can't go through with it and sees no other way out but to run away. The first thing that comes to her mind is to go back to her summer vacation spot where she spent her teenage years, namely Salmon Lake. There she meets her teenage boyfriend Devlin and he helps her. The chemistry and attraction is still there between them and the feelings from then are slowly resurfacing, especially now that she has to stay with him for a while until a hut opens up for her and she can move into it.
The storyline is wonderfully written and so is the build-up. The main characters and their characters are well represented. I highly recommend this series and can't wait for the next book.

This book is about Samerah and Devlin. Samerah has gone to Salmon Lake when she’s supposed to be attending her wedding reception. When she’s lost, she calls the only number she remembers – Devlin. He was her ex-boyfriend from a summer fling in her teenage years. Devlin settled back into Salmon Lake after he left the army. He and some other veterans are now local park rangers. And he answers her call, in more ways than one, coming to her rescue and offering her a place to stay! He’s still wildly attracted to Samerah, and not just physically. She just needs to figure out what she wants! These stories ALWAYS make me want to go to Alaska… without fail! I give this four stars.

A second chance after many years! This is about Devlin and Samerah. These two dated when they were younger but she never returned and he enlisted. Now the day before her wedding she decides to go to Salmon Lake to get away from everything and possibly the worst mistake she would have made. Devlin is a park ranger and when he gets a call from Samerah, he is stunned but glad. He takes her back to his place as she didn’t plan this trip and old feelings start to flourish, the problem is that Samerah doesn’t think it is a good time to jump into another relationship. This is a short story, but it is to the point and I love the ending!.

Davlin and Samerah's path is the second book in the Rangers in Alaska series and one that is filled with inter turmoil, choices and decisions.
Samerah left her fiancée at the altar, the closer it came to her saying "I do", the more she realized she did not. Heading to the one place that she always found her piece, Samerah drove to Salmon Lake and reached out to Devlin.
Devlin was surprised not only to hear from Samerah but to see her. The one thing that did not change was his feeling for her. Heart break or not, Devlin will be what she needs.
This fast read will take your heart on a race that will leave you in a blur.

Samerah feels trapped and runs away from her wedding the day before the event. She runs to her happy place – Salmon Lake Alaska. After all these years, the only person she knows is her childhood boyfriend Devlin. After leaving military, Devlin joins his military brothers in Salmon Lake and becomes a park ranger. They meet up and rekindle their teenage dreams. Samerah doesn’t know what she is going to do, so she rents a cabin and plans to stay a month to clear her mind. When her ex-fiancé shows up at her door, Devlin realizes he can’t let Samerah slip through his hands again and Samerah realizes why she runs away. She is so much happier with Devlin. HEA is in order.
Devlin by Emily Evans is the third book in her Rangers in Alaska series. This story is a simple friends to lovers romance. What I liked about Devlin by Emily Evans the simpleness of the book. I do however wish there was more depth to the couple's relationship and there were more complex situations. Overall I would give Devlin by Emily Evans 3 out of 5 stars. I can't wait to read more books in this series and also more books by Emily Evans.

This was a very short, quick story. Samerah is running away from her wedding to Salmon Lake, Alaska. She had great memories when she vacationed there. She get lost and calls her ex boyfriend Devlin. He comes out and takes her to his cabin. They both find that they are still in love with each other. She calls Liberty and breaks up with him. Finally she's ready to tell Devlin that she loves him but she wants to take it slowly. Good story.

After running from her wedding Samerah heads to Alaska where her family spent their summer vacations and where Devlin lives. Samerah and Devlin are getting a second chance at love in book two of the Rangers in Alaska series. When they were teenagers they had a summer fling and now that they are adults the spark's still there and it ignites. This is a quick, well written, second chance love story and a great addition to the Rangers in Alaska series and I look forward to reading the rest of this series. A quick read that would be wonderful for an afternoon break or to wind down before bed. Devlin and Samerah dated one summer back, when they were teenagers so they have a backstory to build on. Their chemistry was strong and they are able pick up like, they had never been apart.

Lovely quick read of second chances for Devlin and Samerah. There are times when you just want a quick read before bed that ends in a HEA and not a cliffhanger! I loved how Devlin’s feelings were clear as Samerah really deserved to be happy with someone who appreciates her for her not just an image of who she should be.
I've read a lot of books written by Emily Evans; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
