(Reimagined and Expanded with 20,000+ more words than the original)
Her past brought us together, but it was mine that threatened to tear us apart.
We were two people who couldn’t have been more different. She was the good girl; I was the bad boy. I was everything she shouldn’t have wanted. And she was everything I didn’t know I needed.
I was broken. She was perfect.
She wasn’t like the other girls. She intrigued me. Captivated me. When I first saw her across the room, I knew I had to talk to her. Needed to be near her. It’s why I followed her when she left suddenly, abandoning her friends and leaving the party to go outside. She was too quick for me to keep up, though when her screams tore through the night air, I broke into a sprint, needing to save her.
——————————
We were two people bonded in tragedy. He was the mysterious saviour. I was the one saved.
I was broken. He was perfect.
He found me in the woods. Saw me at my most vulnerable. He held me when I was falling apart and got me the help I needed. We hadn’t planned to fall for one another. But we had. Deeply. Completely. But neither of our pasts were done with us yet, and they weren’t going to let us go without a fight.

I was so excited to read this series that I purchased all 3 books. I truly wish I would have waited until I read the first book to see whether or not I would enjoy this series. It's just not the series for me. Hannah and Gavin were okay characters, and I even liked Ryan. The thing that bothered me about this story was that the author passed over things so quickly when they happened to the characters that it didn't give me time to connect or even sympathize with them before something else happened. The feelings Hannah and Gavin felt for each other wasn't believable at all. Gavin's father came back into his life and things were okay just seemed too fast after how he felt. There were a lot of parts in this story that was repetitive. I was not surprised at all when it came to Gabby and the role she played. It killed me that instead of letting the cops handle Matt, Gavin kept trying to handle things himself and always ended up getting injured. The story ends with a cliffhanger but it didn't leave me wanting to read the next book in this series. I will be removing the books from my kindle.
