Jade Jones discovered her passion for creative writing in elementary school. Born in 1989, she began writing short stories and poetry as an outlet. Later on, as a teen, she led a troubled life which later resulted in her becoming a ward of the court. Jade fell in love with the art and used storytelling as a means of venting during her tumultuous times.

Aging out of the system two years later, she was thrust into the dismal world of homelessness. Desperate, and with limited income, Jade began dancing full time at the tender age of eighteen. It wasn't until Fall of 2008 when she finally caught her break after being accepted into Cleveland State University. There, Jade lived on campus and majored in Film and Television. Now, six years later, she flourishes from her childhood dream of becoming a bestselling author. Since then she has written the best-selling "Cameron" series.

Quite suitably, she uses her life's experiences to create captivating characters and story lines. Jade currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. With no children, she spends her leisure shopping and traveling. She says that seeing new faces, meeting new people, and experiencing diverse cultures fuels her creativity. The stories are generated in her heart, the craft is practiced in her mind, and she expresses her passion through ink.

This book here…

This book did me in lmao! So reading the synopsis I already knew that the leading lady wasn’t going to be a looker but baby when I say I wasn’t prepared for the descriptions I wasn’t ready. From what she looked like to the way her roomie said she looked like she was doing the heel toe on concrete I was dead laughing. I wanted to stop reading so bad because I couldn’t believe she really looked the way she did. Granted I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I just couldn’t take it. Between her not being a looker and the main male character being sexy but a damn serial killer I guess they were the perfect match. I will say I did love how he still loved her despite her flaws. All in all it was a good book.

I am in complete awe of this book. I’m not one for murder and mystery but once I got started on this book, I found I couldn’t put it down! Jade Jones is a new author to me so with this being her first book I’ve indulged in I find myself needing to get into her catalogue.
Roo and Raina were adorable in a sick and twisted love kind of way lol. From the first page of this book, I knew this wouldn’t be the usual mystery. There were so many twists and turns while love was still growing that I was constantly on the edge of my seat not being able to put this book down until I figured out who the next victim would be and who was doing the killing.
I absolutely loved this book! This book had me falling in love with a serial killer!!! The characters were so well developed. Reading books written from multiple points of view can be a bit much if not done correctly and I was happy to see that wasn’t the case in this read. We are giving points of view from main characters as well as influential side characters while still looking to solve murders and stop a serial killer. The plot twists in this book were shocking while some were hilarious, and I found myself enjoying seeing bad people get what they deserved!

If you love mystery, suspense, murder with the right amount of love and loyalty thrown in then this is definitely the book for you!

"Fanatic" by Jade Jones

My Speculation:

If you are looking for a good thriller, then you have come to one: 'Fanatic.' I found the two main characters Raina and Sterling Robinson [aka Roo], well played in this story. With Raina having her unattractiveness and Roo being so good looking well, it looks like they were well suited to be together because he knew that she wasn't a fake. I found the story somewhat sad in what Roo thought he needed to do what he had been doing, and as you read through the story, you find out well, let's say you will have to pick up this good read to see how well this author brings it all out to the reader and l loved that surprising ending. I found this story rather interesting in how Roo thought it was OK to do what he did, and Ranina was going along with it, even in what happened to her uncle. But I guess when you love, one you can put the bad parts of it aside. But will it not come back to bit you in the end. Ok, yes, that will be karma! You will definitely be found turning the pages to what will happen next, and I was so glad that we got the story in one sitting.

Not One Dull Moment!

Jade. Jade Jade Jade! This book is going on my list of favorites!!!! Fast paced and not ONE dull moment! Anyone looking to write urban thrillers, this book should be the blueprint. This is what I love about shorter books. The intensity and the fast paced aspect. I read this book in two days and I absolutely loved it! Truly, as a fellow writer myself, this is what good writing is about. Screw 300 pages of slow burn when you can enjoy amazing books that aren’t as long that are all action and suspense from start to finish! In the society we live in today, these types of books are the best kind. Sometimes it’s not easy to sit down and read a book with so many pages because I’m sure most of us are so busy. This is it!! With my busy schedule I was able to finish an entire book in two days. Team Roo! That’s daddy! Amazing!

Loved it! What A ride!

Jade Jones brought us a story that I GUARANTEE that you have not read anything like it before. “Fanatic” was insanely brilliant. Raina is a young college student with a chronic history of stalking poor unsuspecting young men. But her latest obsession is wayyy more than she bargained for. Let’s just say she met her match. Crazy meets insane. This book had so many twists and turns. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Amazing writing and storytelling! This book definitely had me questioning my own sanity. It was action packed, unpredictable, and overall one heck of a ride. Do yourself a favor and read this book! You won’t be disappointed! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Diabolically Funny

This book is my first one by Jade Jones. Fanatic is fantastic! Raina has had a ginormous crush on Sterling Robinson (Roo) from the moment she saw him. She methodically inserted herself into all the spaces he occupied but he didn’t pay any attention to her. Why would he? She was extremely unattractive and shy. When she stumbles onto his dark secret, she doesn’t let it deter her feelings. Roo can’t help but love someone who cares for him so deeply. I found myself rooting for this unlikely pair. She so ugly on the outside and him so ugly on the inside. Shouldn’t that cancel the ugly out? The story is told from multiple perspectives and has twists I didn’t see coming. The last two chapters had me worried….wow!

Sooo good

I loved this story. It had drama, romance, suspense and comedy surrounding a quirky cast of characters. The romantic and suspenseful twists were unique making this a page-turner for me.
I absolutely loved Raina, especially how she owned her looks. Her self-descriptions were hilarious. Despite her shyness, I felt she was confident in her own skin. She fit perfectly with Roo - they were perfectly, uniquely disturbed. Despite the sick deeds Roo did, I was rooting for him (maybe I'm sick too!) I didn't expect that ending, but it was perfect. Well done; I loved this book.

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yessssss, when I tell you GOOD, I can read this book again. Now Jade Jones you done showed out with your pen, paper, and brilliant mind to write a love, murder, and mystery story at the same time ❤️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Frank was so busy trying to catch Roo(Sterling) that he was dating a murderer. Raina actually did the sweetheart that she watched every day and wanted. She really love Roo and he really love her no matter what people said about her looks he love her just the way that she is. Jade this book is Awesome and I can definitely see this one as a movie 🎥👌🏽❤️💯

I wasn’t ready! Honestly, I just didn’t know what to expect. The title, synopsis and book cover kind of threw me off but as I continued reading the book, it all tied in. The author didn’t waste any time in getting into the plot of the story. I loved that! There is mystery, suspense, murder, romance, drama and humor!! The multiple twists throughout the book kept me focused and on the edge. The author does well giving detailed descriptions of people, places and the scene. I can’t say too much without giving spoilers.

Not what I was expecting

I really truly hope that we get a part 2! Because this book was something else! It was not at all what I expected. Me and my friend don’t read synopsis at all. So when she started reading this book and had to read the synopsis. She called me and told me about this book. I was like oh that’s my next read! I have to know how this plays out! And o was not disappointed. Outstanding

This book is a page turner and I read it in less than one day.

I love the fact that the female main character was an "ugly duckling " because it's different from the typical gorgeous girl men fall for.

I also haven't read a good thriller in a while and love every second of it. It's a book that you can't stop reading and makes you want to get to know the characters more and more.

I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read more books from the author.

Loved that Jade Jones’ pen game was so strong that I felt literal pain and heartache from my own past as I empathized with everything Raina endured all because she was unattractive.

I enjoyed Raina and Roo’s story being unconventional. The dark, twisted nature of their relationship kept me reeled in from start to finish.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is into thriller romance. Raina and Roo define “I’d do anything for you.”

Strong Love

This story tell how looks aren’t everything. Beauty is more than just looks. I enjoyed this storyline. I loved how Roo saw Raina’s beauty from the inside, and how she was a true “ride or die” chick. This book was a truly good read. Thumbs up Jade Jones, you can write about anything and make it a great read.

Nope, return to sender

So you know those books that are just so good you eagerly wait to flip to the next page? The ones where you stay up all night just to read what the ending is..??? Yea, this book wasn’t that. Like really, this was horrible, no character development, just 100+ pages of crap. Do yourself a favor, keep it movin on this one.

We all have to find the relationship that works for us. A serial stalker and a serial killer did just that in this story. I enjoyed their odd coupling. The story moved well and much like Dexter, I could empathize with both characters. I would love to see what their married life would be like and with children.

Absolutely loved it! Such a unique and enjoyable story. I read it in two days and couldn't put the book down. Although unconventional and not normal - I was rooting for the couple and liked them together. I wouldn't mind reading a second part to the story. Jade Jones is a great author and I look forward to reading more books from this author.

Enthralling and suspenseful

Roo and Raina were a match made in hell. Two lost souls that found meaning in each other’s ugliness. This book kept me interested. I read it quickly and never felt confused or left in disbelief. Great Characters. The plot and story line were logical and well planned. This is definitely worth reading.

Absolutely loved this thriller. Pretty doesn't always mean looks. You can be the prettiest person in the world and still have a vile heart and nasty personality. Sterling a.k.a Fanatic and Raina really grew on me. Loved these characters. Even though Frank was right about Sterling he still got got in the end, and his career died right alone with him
