Arena battles. Hatchamob handlers. And a power-hungry prince threatening to ruin it all.
Ellie is a normal villager girl. She goes to school, helps on her family farm, and is absolutely obsessed with Hatchamobs—the elemental mob mutations that serve to protect their handlers.
The only problem? Her parents are anti-Hatchamob. It doesn’t matter that she’s the most qualified girl in the village, she can’t have one and she doesn’t even get to know why.
One dark and stormy night, fate has her back, and her longtime pet fox Copper accidentally becomes a Hatchamob. As her parent’s secrets begin to unravel, Ellie, her newfound friend Ridge, and their well-trained Hatchamobs, must come to the rescue.
Will they be able to save her parents from their mysterious past? Will she defeat the Arena Champion to win her village’s crest? Will she be able to convince Ridge to wear actual pants?
The best-selling authors of The Accidental Minecraft Family series, bring you another unofficial Minecraft adventure, that combines the world you know and love, with a new twist—the collecting and battling of Pokémon-style animal companions called Hatchamobs, complete with arena battles and crest winnings.
Hatchamob was written for fans of Minecraft and Pokémon alike, ages 8-14. This book is great for kids in 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th grade and beyond!
Pixel Ate is actually a team! We’re a mom and dad, who live in the Pacific Northwest. We have five kids ages 10 all the way down to 1. We don’t like to brag, but we think our kids are pretty great.
We live on a little bit of land that we’re slowly turning into a farm. We like having lots of space outside to run and play and we’re excited to fill it with some animals. Yay for goats!
Everyone in our family loves reading—well, the baby loves chewing on books—so we thought, why not write our own stories? It’s super fun creating worlds and characters and adventures and even more fun when we know other people are enjoying them. Plus, it’s extra special when our kids get to help. We really did have a cat named Bruce Lee the Scar-Faced Ninja Attack Kitty From Japan (Who Smells Like Poop) who got himself into all kinds of sticky situations, but sadly, he is no longer with us. He truly was a great kitty and he truly did fart a lot. Now we have an equally great kitty named Tater Tot and she is a lot less stinky, but just as loved.
Hi RestfulCurve566 here, the new Pixel Ate series is here!! Sorry, I’m like 2 days late but I love the new book. I’m currently playing Pokémon Legends Arceus (Highly recommend) and this book is just so good for Minecraft and Pokémon fans.
Ratings:
Plot: 9/10 (Very interesting way to start a series) Action 10/10 (Awesome) Humor 9/10 (“What is pants?”) Setting: 9/10 Other: 9/10
Overall: 46/50 or 4.6 stars (And no it’s not the overalls you wear)
Ideas:
More Berries, just like Pokémon (maybe something like carro berries or tato berries like carrots and potatoes)
Evolution (don’t now how but it would be really cool)
Have Pokémon only get to know 4 moves, (nobody will really remember every move that copper and other Hatchamobs know)
Have Zombie and Creeper Hatchamobs, give them void type and make like every body scared of them.
More jokes!! (Never enough)
Raid battle against the king
Questions:
What move did copper actually learn from the crest and which one did fuego learn?
Will you state which types are strong against others in the book? (please do)
How many books are expected to be in this series?
Will there be like a Pokédex for Hatchamobs?
If there is a six type power, how can you be power type, is copper power type as well?
Goodbye:
Please put me in a reviewer list of some sort as RestfulCurve566, and until next time!

Hello! Please call me Rivertide, I would appreciate it if you do! Anyways, this new series is great! Will you also be adding like, a Q&A for this one too? Just wondering. The part where Copper ran away and got struck by lightning and stuff made me cry(I’m quite emotional, or at least I think that’s the word?). It’s a great series and I love it as much as AMF! I can’t wait for the next book!
UGH, it’s so hot in Texas! Is it hot at your place too? It’s really hot at my place. Fluff you global warming! Anyways, I hope you have a great end-of-summer thingy! I love your books! Okay, time to check out Steve and Pete.

This is such a great book so far, I just have 2 questions: 1. Could you pleeeeaaaase do a AMF/Hactchamob server in Minecraft ( If you know how to make one, I don’t.)? 2. Is Ridge based on Bruce, Jack and all of the villagers in AMF? Because he eats like Bruce, has a similar personality to Jack and asks questions like the villagers. From HipHopHippo71 ( I did a fan art in an AMF of the Smiths.) 5 STARS
I really liked this book because there was so many plot twists and maybe for the next book ridge and Ellie can meet Billy on the way to capitol and Ellie shows to books she has a legendary hatchamob and master a new element like water or copper turns into a behemoth and Ellie has to turn copper back to normal but instead he turns back into a normal fox.
for me starting the book it was great it was very creative and we'll written there were parts that were exciting and there were funny parts two all in all it was amazing book I totally recommend it to anyone the only thing about it the cover is Minecraft but the book it's self wasn't .Minecraft but other than that is was a awesome book 5 stars for sure:)
Ellie a girl in a village called waverly is not allowed to have a hatchamob and there is a bully called billy in her class and bullied her and then one day she fights with her mother and father and they say that she has her pet fox copper and then she says that copper is not a hatchamob after hearing this copper runs out of the house and then get struck by a lightning and then she had to save copper so she gives copper a earth moon berry potion and he turns into a hatchamob i have read the whole sereis and these are one of the best books i have read
I only read a bit of the sample and I can already tell its trash. There are only a few decent unofficial Minecraft books (for example the Elementia chronicles and maybe Diary of a Minecarft zombie). Plus, I think all of the 5 star reviews on this book are fake because it sounds like a kid but all the grammar is right (not like a kid).
I've been wanting to write this for a long time buuut Kindle issues and amazon bugging means I'm now rather (VERY) late.
I really enjoyed it, I'm a massive fan of both Minecraft and Pokemon- though I'm starting to edge out of it's target age group but this whole mashup immediately resonated with me. I'm going to go into my reasoning for the 4 stars now.
PROS
Well written- one of my main issues with AMF was that the characters seemed (to me) to conform to stereotypes too much but this really doesn't have that problem.
Exciting- I did anticipate a lot of the twists but the way you withheld and revealed information was very clever. Basically, i'm trying to say that I loved it.
CONS
not really very many-
It was a bit short but isn't that kind of a positive I guess?
The main reason it lost a star was actually because of a positive- it's Minecraft + Pokémon. While this is the perfect genre for me it does steal a lot of the premise of those two games. Again, that's my only real negative
QUESTIONS
I've seen people write this before but pixelmon?
Is there a movepool, like at set list of moves a Hatchamob can learn. Rarer moves were mentioned so maybe there are more desirable ones?
Are you going to tie AMF and Hatchamob in, like on their way out of minecraft they go through different universes- you could put them in different stories from other authors and the codex.
If there is a list of reviewers can I be put on it as MegaMinerMaybe please
Wow. I loved this book! It has all the right elements (both types, hehe) and super cool. I am looking forward to seeing more of your books! :3 Until next review :D
