This is a gorgeous romance, in such a beautiful setting, two people who have so much pain in their past, can they find love and happiness in paradise during a hurricane?

Jessie Rose has been sent to the beautiful island of Mustique for a break that her sister feels she needs, Jessie feels a little out of place here but then she meets Joel who she thinks is a worker on the island at first but soon finds out that that is not the case. Is there a chance that Jessie can have a fling and not lose her heart while here?

Joel had been on a break on the island that is owned by his best friend, Brendan and he should have left before the new guest arrives she is off limits to Joel according to Brendan but a hurricane arrives Joel ends up staying, he feels such a pull towards Jessie but his heart was given to someone else and even if she is no longer here that heart is staying closed, but Jessie is very hard to resist.

Can they really put the past behind them and look to the future? Rachael Stewart has again written a story that is so filled with emotions, a story I loved from start to finish Jessie and Joe are such fabulous characters, and they are very easy to love. This is a roller coaster of a journey to a wonderful HEA, sensual and beautiful and one that I would highly recommend, I can’t wait for Hannah’s story.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.

Emotional and delicious
5 stars

I always look forward to a new Rachael Stewart story as no matter the storyline, she always manages to capture my attention and find a away to touch my heart with her characters and their lives. This book is the first story in a new duo (not a duet - each story will and does stand alone and is about a separate couple) about two sisters finding love with their lovely billionaires.

We first meet our heroine, Jessie, as she heads to the beautiful island of Mustique in the Caribbean to start a healing holiday in a friend’s luxurious home. Immediately we get to know and understand Jessie and part of her back story. She’s recently lost her mum, suffered a bad breakup and needs time to recharge and relax. She’s an anxious person who’s lost some of her spark in life and, in hindsight, it’s quite surprising that not for a single second did I have a bad thought about Jessie. She was a great heroine.

While also harbouring a decent amount of baggage, our hero, Joel, is definitely more layered than Jessie. While Jessie is more straight-forward, Joel has become so adept at hiding his true feelings that everything’s a bit of a tangled mess. But he’s still a fantastic hero and someone I love to see get their chance at happiness - someone who believes that they don’t deserve it. Like Jessie, it’s impossible not to fall in love with Joel - for his tortured soul, his boyish charm and the kind and caring man he is. He’s definitely swoon worthy hero material.

I would normally be angry about two main characters with the same first initials as I often find it strangely complicated when that occurs. Not so with Jessie and Joel, thankfully, although I am glad that housekeeper June was barely mentioned after her introduction! But I digress. As a couple, Joel and Jessie were perfect for each other. Joel helped Jessie become free and wild while Jessie in turn helped steady and ground Joel. That’s not to say that they didn’t have their wild times together, too, and while the sex is mainly behind doors, it fits perfectly with the overall ambiance of the story. (Not to say that I wouldn’t have enjoyed reading about Joel and Jessie’s shenanigans - I know that Ms Stewart writes some good and dirty sex scenes!)

The writing, as always, is exemplary. I always try to make a point of analysing the story as I read, to find out just how I’m sucked in to the story so completely - but quickly find myself immersed and I forget I’m reading and just live in the world that’s been created for me. And that’s not just because the thought of a tropical island - even with a tropical storm - would be divine! This is very obvious in this story as the emotional punch from this story is raw! I haven’t experienced any of the grief, loss, guilt etc that our characters have gone through (thankfully), so I naively thought that I wouldn’t be as emotionally invested with our characters. Cut to me rocking and weeping and making weird ugly sob sounds. So yeah, it packs a wallop.

I have to be honest - I toyed with giving this book 4 stars instead of the 5 I ultimately went with. The reason why - those emotions. They slayed me and I found myself a sobbing, bubbling mess on occasion while reading through the most emotive of passages. But then I realised, giving this book 4 stars would be like giving a decadent chocolate cake 4 stars simply because I ate too much of it since it was so delicious. So it couldn’t really be anything other than 5 stars. And I mean, how could you not give 5 stars to a book that left you emotionally drained but oh so satisfied? Bring on Hannah’s story.

Well, I wish someone would send me off to a luxury resort, all expenses paid, for a month. It sounds awesome!
It’s definitely what Jessie needs after the tough time she’s had lately.
Jessie is an instantly likeable character. I could understand her being so uncomfortable being waited on hand and foot. This holiday destination couldn’t be any more of a contrast to her day-to-day life. However, I don’t blame her for relaxing into it and deciding to enjoy it for what it is. Joel obviously helps, although she is convinced she might get him into trouble for keeping him from his work. I loved that she had no idea who he really was.
My heart went out to Joel. Some might think he has it all, but he’s had his fair share of heartbreak and I could understand his reluctance towards Jessie. In fact, I respected him more for it. He faces a real battle between his heart and his head. I loved the talk his mother has with him. That started the tears!
I was absolutely swept along with Jessie and Joel’s story. I loved these characters and was rooting for them both from the very beginning. The chemistry between them in undeniable. It’s heart-wrenching at times and it did make me cry. It also made me smile, a lot!
**Many thanks to Rachael Stewart for my review copy**

And the Queen of romance does it again with a belter of a book.

I am a huge fan of Rachaels books, there has never been a single one I've not loved and adored.

She has an incredible talent of transporting you into the pages. I could see Jessie's villa, the food she was served, the views and I felt her pain.

I can't wait to read Book 2 in this series, looking forward to what happens next.

Six months ago Jessie’s mom passed, and now Jessie is drifting. Her sister sends Jessie on an all-expenses paid month-long trip to a secluded, tropical vacation at Hannah’s boss’s home in an exclusive resort where she meets sexy Joel, someone she assumes is part of the home’s staff.

Joel is best friends with Hannah’s boss, Brendan, and has been living at his luxury home. After suffering loss over the past few years, Joel has filled his time with easy living and lots of flirting and women. Knowing Jessie is off-limits, Joel hangs around the resort to welcome her and maybe even flirt a bit.

I picked up Billionaire’s Island Temptation to fill one of the boxes in the 2023 Romance Reading Challenge. Although the story has a promising premise and start, I never connected with the characters. Each is in a dark place and recovering from hurt and lost, thinking a fling may be what is needed to fill the void. Yet from the start, Joel is just a tad too arrogant for my liking. He promises Brendan he’ll stay away from Jessie but then gets off on flirting and tempting her, hiding his true identity.

As the story progresses and the couple spends time together 24-7, they grow closer, but don’t share all that much. Joel haphazardly tosses around the word “love,” and it’s out of character and misplaced in the friendship-with-benefits relationship. Jessie is wishy-washy and immature, overreacting to every perceived mistreatment. Both would act like teens, stomping away and pouting. With that said, the author brings them back together very quickly, realizing they overreacted and making amends. However, it happened too often.

In the end, Billionaire’s Island Temptation did not work for me. I never liked the characters and felt their relationship was never fully developed.

My Rating: D

This is the first book in the Rose Sister Duet. Joel and Jessie's story is a little heartbreaking, they both have emotional trauma that's holding them back from really living their lives. Jessie is staying on the island because her sister gifted the trip to her. She's still hurting from the death of her mother and her ex's betrayal. Joel is flat out running from life, running from the hurt, and running from his family. They drawn to each other and maybe their friends and family are wrong and they are exactly what they need. Can't wait to read Hannah's story. I received this book from the author and this is my honest review.

This is the story of Jessie and Joel which is told over the course of 17 chapters. Their story is the first book in Rachael’s brand new duet ‘Billionaires for the Rose Sisters’. This book is easy to get stuck into and really grabs the readers attention.

From the moment Jessie and Joel meet readers instantly get to see the hit of underlying chemistry even before these two start talking. This chemistry just becomes more pronounced as the book goes on. These characters are easy to fall in love with even before you discover more about them.

Joel’s past includes a lost love that he is carrying guilt around over, even if he doesn’t necessarily have anything to be guilty about. Well that is this readers opinion. On the other hand you have Jessie who is going through a more recent suit of grief with thee added bonus of anxiety as well. Rachael rally digs deep when she gives the the readers details about what these characters are currently dealing with.

The background characters of this book included Jessie’s sister Hannah and Joel’s friend Branden. It just so happens that Branden and Hannah work together and readers get the hint that something is going on. I think we have found the main couple for book two.

Throughout the book the sexual chemistry between the main characters is ever present and sizzling away under the service. Within this book Rachael somehow gives us a team scene that we love her for but without taking away from the ‘True Love’ genre.

Overall i loved this book as well as the characters that you get to meet. It is a great read that is easy for readers to get stuck into. This book left me excited for the second part of the duet. It also left me shocked because I didn’t realise that “You’re my Arthur” could be o romantics.

Quick Summary: A love after loss, tug-of-war romance

My Review: Billionaire's Island Temptation by Rachael Stewart was a romance that brought together two grieving souls who were looking to heal from troubling pasts. The story was emo-rich and unpredictable. Ultimately, the insta-romance between Joel and Jessie brought clarity and resolution on many fronts.

My Final Say: Readers who enjoy comeback stories will like this one.

This was a lovely, escapist piece of romantic fiction in which Jessie, our heroine got to have the most fabulous set of experiences with the hero Joel. A setting in the Caribbean, protagonists who are attracted to each other but have their reasons for not getting involved and a chemistry that simply can’t be resisted - what’s not to like. I found the sister a little off putting so I’ll be interested to read her story next.

I do love this author’s writing style because she clearly loves her characters and makes sure they (and the reader) have a wonderful, emotionally satisfying journey. Thoroughly enjoyed this.

Before I start my review for this book, even though review may be the wrong word for what’s coming – it’s more like a waffled, slightly garbled and very rambled letter of love to what has become the book of my heart!! I have to say a huge thank you to Rachael Stewart for sharing this emotion-stirring story with us and I know that Jessie and Joel will always have an extraordinary part of my heart now.

“I left my job and my place in the city to move home and take care of her, I didn’t really think, I just did it”
“I used to have a plan, I knew what I wanted, or at least I thought I did.”

I have never in my life connected as much with a single character as I did with Jessie, at times it felt far too personal and way too close to home as though I was seeing a part of my life played out before me for everyone to see and yet there is no denying that Jessie got to me and in a weird way I felt as though she was speaking for all of us carers out there, she is the understanding non-judgmental voice we have all been searching for. Or maybe, that accolade should go to Rachael Stewart?

I really am getting carried, but I did warn you!

Billionaire’s Island Temptation is the first in the new Billionaires for the Rose Sister’s mini-series and what a start! What a way to introduce us to these characters, even though this book is all about Jessie and Joel, we get a glimpse of Jessie’s sisters; Hannah and Brendan and some blink and you’ll miss them hints of something not right in Hannah’s world. I don’t think I can hold out until May for my next Rose sister love story. I’ll probably re-read this one until then, this is one of those books which I will never get tired of and it will also end up on the tattered over re-read but I will forever love the shelf.

We’ve all got one of those shelves, haven’t we?

I really should say something about the book, other than bombarding everyone with a constant; ‘me, me, me’, even though I’m getting tired of my own voice, you want to hear about the book, right?

The first moment we meet both Jessie and Joel, you get a real insight into the fragility which surrounds both of them, it cloaks them in a impenetrable armour. They both hide behind a facade; Joel puts on the face of a nonchalant charismatic playboy, but he is in deep pain and Jessie hides behind a smile, but her eyes tell how detached she really is.

After the death of their mother, Jessie has received into her shell, her sister’s concern is borderline suffocating but she means well, shoves her onto a plane and sends her off to the beautiful island of Mustique for rest and relaxation, and Hannah hopes it will help bring her sister back from the darkness which has enveloped her.

Joel on the other hand is running away, he has been through his own hell, a double tragedy which has impacted him far more deeply than anyone can even dream. Even he is shocked to the core by how deep his pain has taken him, his detachment from reality and how deep the scars have impregnated his body. People think him a ruthless, cad, a playboy of the darkest order, but his good friend Brendan or his family don’t understand. They don’t understand, Joel because he won’t allow anyone near enough to try, that is until he meets a beautiful redhead with ghosts of her own.

“Sun-kissed waves to his shoulders and a grin to die for. Or was that his body…? Half-naked, sweaty and glistening in the midday rays…”

Love this quote, when Jessie sees Joel and despite her personal fragilities and inner turmoil, I am pleased she hasn’t become a nun and has her priorities right and can truly appreciate the beauty of a sexy-as-hell, half-naked man – we may care for others, but we’re still women. 😉

I absolutely love the instant attraction between Joel and Jessie, they are both scarred but neither can deny the attraction, a deep carnal lust. their body reacts to the other in a way that they never thought they would experience again. They make a pact while on the island, no strings attached fun, nothing else.

Yeah, right, like that going to happen with these two, they were born to be together! The journey isn’t a smooth one, the story isn’t the easiest to read a lot is going on, particularly in the heads of our couple.

Yes, they are smouldering and sexy, they have fun and a few giggles. He is so tentative and patient with her, and she brings the sunshine to his darkness I adore those scenes when they are either just being themselves or have lowered the barricades slightly. But, they each have to find their peace, and at times I did wonder how could they ever be together when they are both suffering. They keep pushing the other away, but Rachael Stewart is one hell of a talented writer and I knew that eventually, life for them would be easier. It just took a little time and patience from everyone (especially me, but I just wanted them to be happy).

You’ve probably guessed by now just how much I loved this book, everything about it in my eyes perfection!

Gorgeous and mesmerizing setting which will whisk you away for a dream adventure!🌞

Beautiful if heartbreakingly emotional romance!💖

Sexy, vulnerable, kind, charismatic and haunted hero, a man of darkness who just want to drag into the light and hug him so hard until he laughs!🔥

A wonderful heroine, a woman who I have taken to my heart completely and I feel completely in tune with, take this quote for instance;

“Books are my safety blanket to hide under when life gets too much and I need to run from the real world, I read.“

This one sentence is everything, right? Every book lover in the world can understand this, but again I feel Jessie’s words right in my heart, this is exactly what I do. The family have had a few tough months lately and romance books, Mills and Boons especially have been a saviour for me, so I feel her open and honest speaking so much and understand where she is coming from, far more than I can say.

Went a little off course, again…

So, I won’t say too much more, but this is a real rollercoaster ride of every human emotion, and I felt it and more than that loved every second!

Hard and heartbreaking topics run through which are an integral part of the entire story. All of which is magically woven together by the queen of the true love romance to create a memorable, compassionate, empathetic and sensitively-told story of how true love heals and empowers, this really is perfect!

I bow down to you Rachael 😘

Trigger Warnings
This book contains:
• Death of a spouse and parent.
Characters
Jessie is a loving woman who’s always been looked after by her sister, and she’s determined to take care of herself finally. She’s experienced loss and heart break, but she’s sure she can handle the loss and her anxiety without her sister micromanaging her life.
Joel lives his life without consequences and avoids responsibility at all costs. He’s lost and struggling, but he’s slowly getting back to normal after his own tragic experience.
Storyline
Jessie is sent to the island of Mustique by her sister for some much-needed rest and recuperation after the death of her mother and her break up. Meanwhile, Joel is still using his friend’s house in Mustique when Jessie arrives and finds himself wanting to stay, despite his friend specifically ordering him to be gone before Jessie arrived.
Overall Thoughts
It was so interesting to hear about the island of Mustique, the history and the flora native to the island.
While I likely won’t ever make it to the island, reading about it felt like a special treat, especially hearing the description of the house and how relaxing it was. It created such a sense of calm, even though I was just reading the descriptions on the page.
Then on the counter side of that, the pain and emotional turmoil of both Jessie and Joel was seeping off the pages. The empathy they created was surprising, but also goes to show how well Rachael writes.

It's always a treat to pick up and read a novel by a favourite author and this is no exception.

Billionaire's Island Temptation is the first book in the Billionaires for the Rose Sisters duet, and it is a seductive and steamy romance novel that will leave you craving for more.

The narrative revolves around Jessie Rose, a young woman who is looking for an escape from her stressful life, after the break-up of her relationship with Adam, and the death of her mum. Then there's billionaire Joel Austin, a brooding and enigmatic man who is not looking for anything permanent because he's avoiding all relationships. When their paths unexpectedly cross, both throw caution to the wind, as heady feelings of temptation and lust overwhelm them. The chemistry between Jessie and Joel is undeniable from the start, and their fling on the tropical island of Mustique is both thrilling and dangerous. Despite their mutual attraction, both characters have their own demons and baggage that they must confront and overcome if they want their relationship to develop into something more… which they don't, do they?

I love this coupling. Jessie and Joel come from differing backgrounds but share heartbreaking experiences. Interestingly, they both may be far from their loved ones, however, this doesn't mean the ones "at home" don't know what is happening thousands of miles away. Therefore, it's easy to understand how the loved-up couple wants to be left alone...they are consenting adults after all!

Oh, this is another fabulously sexy novel by Ms. Stewart. As I've come to expect, her writing style is captivating and sensual, and once again, she has created two complex and relatable characters in Jessie and Joel. The setting of the tropical island adds a dreamy and romantic backdrop to the story, making it the perfect beach read.

Overall, Billionaire's Island Temptation is a delightful and engaging romance novel that will leave you eagerly anticipating the second book. There's more than a subtle hint about who will be in the spotlight in the next instalment and I know I can't wait to read about their story too.

A contemporary romance, a twist of fate,
Will stormy times help feelings abate?
Or will they grow to something more,
Something that neither of them can ignore?

Jessie Rose is off to Mustique to recuperate
To make the most of a holiday there, not to tempt fate!
But the billionaire's home where she's due to stay
Has a visitor there, Joel, who should have been on his way!

Instant attraction must be ignored by these two
But a horrendous storm is now due.
An accident, fate, steps in to make sure
These two will perhaps help each other to endure.

With her sister and his best friend issuing warnings to this pair,
Of the dangers involved they are both well aware.
They say not to hurt each other, that's true,
But with feelings involved, can they agree too?

Maybe all they plan is a summer fling
But who know what next fate will bring?
Will temptation prove too much for them now
And what happens when they leave, anyhow?

Grief and loss are horrendous feelings
That have left them both totally reeling
Is this the chance for them to heal
Or will their romance be too big a deal?

For my complementary copy, I say a huge thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

This first book in the Billionaire's for the Rose Sisters series is full of chemistry, conflicts and emotion. Jesse is holidaying on the Isle of Mustique for rest and relaxation after a traumatic time. Jesse is a believable character with who the reader immediately empathises. Joel also has tragedy but hides his pain from the world behind his player persona. The physical connection is immediate, as is the desire for no emotional involvement. The emotion is always there, but it takes a while for the couple to admit this. The romance is passionate, and the conflicts to a lasting relationship believable, but the reader is invested in this couple, and the author delivers the happiness they deserve.

I received a copy of this book from the author.

I would firstly just like to say a big thank you to the author who very kindly forwarded me an arc copy of this book, for my kindle, in return for my honest review.

I loved this book and a billionaire trope is definitely one of my all-time favourites. The author’s style of writing is so good and i found myself totally immersed in the story and i loved it.

It was such an easy book to read and i found myself reading chapter after chapter and couldn’t stop turning the pages as i needed to know what was going to happen next.

The chemistry between the two main characters was amazing and the further you read of the story the stronger the chemistry became.

A wonderful, romantic escape that gave me all the feel’s…….

This is the 1st book in the “Billionaires For The Rose Sisters Series”. Front and center there is Jessie who meets billionaire Joel in Mustique. Jessie is looking for an escape and Joel is not looking for anything permanent. Jessie and Joel are both dealing with loss and just need an escape from life and reality. Mustique is owned by Joel’s friend Brendan and according to Brendan Jessie is off limits. A hurricane comes to the island and Joel has to stay put. For some reason Joel seems to be drawn to Jessie and there is an instant attraction between the two of them.

Can Jessie and Joel find love on the island of Mustique?

I received an ARC via the author and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

Billionaire' Island Temptation is the first in a duet about the Rose sisters. It is a very touching, sentimental and highly emotional story. Both main characters are dealing with the loss of lost ones and it takes being trapped during a storm with just the right person to help them first truly grieve and then heal. The very uplifting HEA is a salute to second chances and love conquering all. This is a book to go on my keeper shelf and a definite recommendation.
I am fortunate to have received an advanced copy by the author and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

This was my favourite of Rachael's books so far 😍 A very passionate couple, each with their fair share of trauma but a perfect match.

Joel is your typical playboy after good girl Jessie but you could tell from the beginning he's a softie at heart. And everyone needs an Anton in their life! How the other half live...

I adored the setting and the descriptions of the food made me hungry! I'm so thankful I'm going on holiday soon!

The ending was a little predictable but isn't that what we all love in a romance novel??

I'd love to read about this couple more in the future.

Jessie and Joel are both running from grief when a storm traps them together on a tropical island. They're instantly attracted, but are they too damaged to fall in love?

This is an enjoyable, emotional romance in a luxurious setting. I liked the flirtation between Jessie and Joel and how the chemistry between them develops.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Nothing like an escape to paradise to find oneself!
What’s not to love about Jessie and Joel, 2 lost souls who meet on a paradise island that should have been passing ships, except fate, and a storm intervene. While they explore the island terrain, the realm of possibilities between the two seemingly explodes while helping each other to let their pasts go. Will they be able to find their happily ever after or will the past forever cloud their lives?

Rachael Stewart is one of my favourite authors because she writes such fabulous characters who have such incredible depth. I loved this one, Jessie and Joel have so much pain in their backgrounds but as they explore the utterly gorgeous island they discover a chemistry that could turn into something amazing if they let down their boundaries and allow themselves to feel and be loved. I’m a huge fan of Rachael and I can’t wait to read Hannah’s story next.

Jessie and Joel give you a very charming, but emotionally driven romance. I feel like this is a perfect book for harlequin series, and while some of the plot went a little slow, I overall found it to be a relaxing book to read over a nice cup of coffee. These two have enough chemistry between them to make their romance fly if they want it to

It was ok, not terrible story, but definitely predictable. Didn't go into any details about why her sister was freaking out at the end, so that's strange.
