I honestly would’ve given this book 4/5 if it weren’t for the amount of typos in the book! Especially towards the end every other page had one.
The book also starts off VERY convoluted with about 10 characters introduced in the first chapter, and 6 of them are insignificant to the story.
Main characters her Steve, Natalie, & Becca. They were 3 close friends in high school. Steve and Natalie lost their virginity to each other and he was going to take her to prom. He ended up standing her up and taking Becca instead.
Fast forward after college Steve and Becca are platonic business partners and run an event organizing business. Their rival is Natalie who owns a similar business.
Early on we learn that Becca is actually gay and Steve took her to prom when rumors started spreading that she was gay. He tried to call Natalie so he could ask if he could take both of them but Natalie missed the call and all these years she thought Steve stood her up for Becca.
In college Natalie went to Italy to study & met her fiance there, (I think his name was Todd). Todd was physically abusive and raped Natalie several times. She eventually left him.
When Natalie moved back and started her business she and Steve would run into each other at conventions and always had sex but never mentioned the past. They were strictly fuck buddies.
Long story short Becca knows Steve is in love with Natalie but won’t tell her what happened at prom to protect Becca’s secret of being gay. So Becca tells Natalie what happened and she and Steve start dating.
Steve and Natalie’s crazy exs end up showing up and causing scenes but in the end they get married and live happily ever after.
This book was pretty good and the story line was good. The typos and the first chapter is what is making me give 3 stars and I’m not sure if I’ll read the other books in the series

I was quite disappointed with the book. It wasn't much of a romantic comedy as I had hoped, based on the title. The storyline felt overshadowed by the numerous sexual scenes, and to top it off, the ending was predictable.
A bit repetitive with details that are not worth repeating (black Corvette). Some of the spicy bits are confusing about how they work, and weird phrasing. Why is she always pulling her knees up...that is not a sexy bed pose in my mind. Beyond that, rich people get a relationship.
A Year in Love Collection Easter Cookie This is a short story that introduces us to Natalie and Stephen. There will be more short stories of them in the future which I can’t wait to read. It has to be easy in some aspects and hard in others with Natalie and Stephen being friends since school. Funny that they work in the same industry but are competitors. There is more between them than just competitors. You will find their relationship very interesting. I encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Cookie Wars The series continues with another installment of Natalie and Steve’s life. Natalie just can’t seem to get over what Steve did to her at prom. But that doesn’t stop the two from hooking up. It is so sad to see how much the two really like each other, but can’t seem to do anything about it. Information comes into play that may help Natalie. Then something shocking happens that we will have to see what happens in the next installment. I encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Firecracker Cookie The saga of Natalie and Steve continues. Natalie and Steve have come a long ways from high school. I really disliked Veronica and how she kept trying to make trouble between Natalie and Steve. I was glad to see how Natalie handles Veronica. The book has many steamy scenes! I feel there is new trouble on the horizon for Natalie and Steve. I encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
Thankful Cookie. Natalie Steve Hopefully you have been reading the last three installments of this story. Natalie and Steve have had a long journey in their relationship. I know it was so hard for Natalie to tell Steve about the abusive relationship she had with her ex fiancée. Unfortunately it is starting to affect her now. Poor Steve was furious when the ex emails Natalie about an upcoming event which upsets Natalie. I was proud of how Natalie handled herself. I loved the happy ending and encourage you to read the book. I received a copy of the book from. Booksprout and voluntarily wrote a review.
Easter Cookie: Easter Cookie is an entertaining novella full of drama, humor, steam, and a couple in love. Natalie and Stephen are business competitors and friends with benefits at the same time. Great start to a fun, new series and I can't wait to read the next book. Cookie Wars: Cookie Wars is book two of A Year In Love series and continues where book one left off. The story flowed smoothly and is a fun quick novella about business competitors who become much more to each other. I love how they can't get over past hurts but it doesn't stop them from wanting to be together. Great writing, fun, believable characters, and an entertaining read. Firecracker Cookie: Nat and Steve's love story continues in book three of the series and picks up where book two left off. You should definitely read the first two books first to fully understand Nat and Steve's journey. In this book Steve's ex Veronica wants him back but Steve doesn't want anything to do with her. I loved the way Nat handles Veronica. This book ends in a cliffhanger and I can't wait to see how Nat and Steve's story ends and if they finally get their HEA. Thankful Cookie: Thankful Cookie is the fourth and final book in the series and it picks up where book three left off. You should read the first three books to fully understand Nat and Steve's journey. In this book Nat's abusive ex comes back to cause problems and she finally tells Steve about him. Nat and Steve go through a lot in this book and I loved how their relationship gets stronger and they finally get their happily ever after. I definitely recommend this book, this series, and this author to everyone looking for a great read.
I enjoyed this series. The characters are likable. Their story is sweet and also a little sad. Natalie and Steve grew up together but had a falling out when they were still young. It seems both of them have different perceptions of what happened but they are askew. Years later they are both still in love but there are so many things unknown and unsaid. Now with their companies both being chosen to work together on the same project they’ll have to come to some sort of compromise. Pride and fears will have to be set aside in order to move beyond their current set up. Along the way they get a little help from loved ones and together overcome many obstacles but some wounds are harder to heal.
I initially read these as independent mini stories. I have to say I like them better together as one book and would recommend getting this boxset.
“Memories of Natalie Todeschini in my bed, against a wall, under the shower overload my brain.”
Although it’s this is a box set it’s more like just getting a full size book. Originally published as four short cliffhanger novellas of less than 100 pages each now they are together and this way you can read the whole story of Natalie and Steve, These two sure took a long, often amusing, journey to love with multiple detours along the way. Their story is a lot of fun and very steamy. I really liked them as a couple and was very happy with the way their story ended.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed the idea of this book, former high school sweethearts, who broke each others hearts, are reunited to work on a large project that is going to take a year to complete. We get to watch how their relationship evolves over time. The problem is this book is poorly written and very poorly edited. After reading about the author and realizing English is not her first language, I am a little more forgiving but she really needs a better editor. This is a steamy romance, which I don't mind, as long as the sex moves the story along. In most cases, in this story, it did not so I could have done without it. I am glad this book was free. I would not recommend.
This compilation was a delightful and juicy read with characters that made m laugh out loud and scream in frustration and plot twists that mirror life's circumstances. Each of the novels was well- written and the narrative pace was spot on for me. I loved every word. Five worthy stars.
Collection of short stories involving the same couple that didn’t link up at all. It felt like the time was just slipping forward so much with no explanation. Free from stuff your kindle day.
DNF. I normally try to finish the books I start (whether or not I already dislike them), but at 45% in I’m not invested enough in any of the characters to care to see their (assumed) happy endings.
Basic Plot: Natalie and Steve have a history, and through a series of events, these high school sweethearts turned friends find their way back to love.
This was a freebie picked up on a stuff-your-kindle (or Nook in my case) day. Not bad, not great. It was a decent popcorn read, but I doubt I will remember it in a week. There were quite a few typos, and the writing was merely ok. It hit all the right theoretical beats, but lacked emotional oomph.
This is a 5 star read if you are a 15 year old who wants to wait 270 (out of like 300) pages for a professional NHL player to kiss the love of his life. But, if you are a 30 year old women who loves fake dating, hockey romances and older brothers ex best friend tropes...
