Can Loveda Brown catch a killer before her framed fiancé hangs for it?
Who killed Bill Tennyson? The sheriff wants to know. The reporters want to know. But if her fiancé is framed for the murder, Loveda Brown doesn’t want to know. She wants justice. The tiny mountainside town of Idyllwild, California, as yet the Wild West of 1912, turns upside down when the arrival of Wyatt Earp sets off a chain of events that only a killer could appreciate.

Each book in the series gets better and better. The setup too a bit of time, but it was well worth it and once the action got going I couldn’t put it down. The inclusion of Wyatt Earp was well done. It was a well-done locked door mystery. I had my feelings about who was responsible, but could never really be sure, and definitely wavered on that feeling multiple times. I was only really sure towards the end. I thoroughly enjoyed the continued growth of Loveda’s relationship with John. Tastefully well done. I may have teared up a bit and smiled at the end. And what exactly is going to happen to Charles… hmm…
🙂 I was kept in suspend until the last chapter. The detail and timing was great. I really thought Loveda worked out her own fears of marriage along the way. There is still room for more storyline and tangled love twist, what happens to Red , Emily, Hattie, ect.
A joint architect winds up dead. John is accused of the murder. Loveda dances with Wyatt Earp. What a tangled Tale this becomes with a surprise ending.
How can the stakes be any higher than when one's betrothed is on the hook (and staring a noose in the face) for murder? Loveda not only needs to solve the case, she has to confront her reluctance to marry again. All-in-all, another satisfying entry in this series!
