Spiritual Mentorship: How to be a Spiritual Father or Mother
1Cor. 4:14-15 “I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you. For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers....”
The body of Christ has been good about “instructing people in Christ”. We have our church fellowships, our small groups, men’s groups, women’s groups, youth groups, Bible studies, etc. But as Paul warns, we don’t have many spiritual fathers and mothers, one-on-one spiritual mentors. It’s the missing component in our ministry model. Paul writes that he was a spiritual father to Timothy and to Titus. Peter was a spiritual father to John Mark. This book will give you an outline on how to spiritually mentor individuals so that you can fulfill the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20).
