Mary Bruno has written her own story in such a real and vulnerable way, borrowing from the wisdom of the saints and the Church to help readers understand and bring meaning to suffering in their own lives. I cried at times and laughed at times as she has woven her own voice and sense of humor throughout the pages. She has explained some of the most difficult teachings of the Catholic Church regarding sex, marriage, and fertility in such an understandable way and in a way that brings hope to anyone who may be struggling with these issues! I loved that she had a whole chapter devoted to adoption because it’s a topic many people don’t know much about. I was especially touched by the beautiful way she describes her marriage and what it has meant to truly love your spouse on the hardest and darkest of days. Whether you’ve struggled with infertility or not, I’m sure this book has something to offer you!
