The Tree Outside My Window: Poems

Rate this book
Journey through the rings of good and evil to rediscover the tree of life.

To cope with the emotions ripping him apart inside, Michael Anthony Adams, Jr. completed these poems during a period of struggling through unemployment and homelessness in Brooklyn, NY. They were his attempt to break free from the illusion of duality that permeates our culture. Immersing himself in Ginsberg, Bob Dylan, and the Wu-Tang Clan, Michael used the world around him for inspiration.

With this work, he developed a postmodern philosophy that merged our binary perceptions of male/female, beautiful/ugly, good/evil into a single, unified worldview. Ten years later, this same collection became the jumping off point for Ursprung Collective, a spoken word/music project founded by Michael Anthony Adams, Jr. and the composer, gn0m0n.

Indigo Glow and The Tree Outside My Window are two poetry anthologies written by Israfel Sivad.
The poems in both books cover the themes of romance, drugs & alcohol, supernatural beings, angst and religion.
To me, The Adversary’s Good News is a much more mature piece of writing. These poetry collections are perhaps a little more niche.
