This is my debut book in the Adult Romance genre and I am so pleased with how it turned out. I had a lot of fun writing this one and I hope that everyone enjoys reading it! This is the first in a trilogy so be on the look out for the second book!

I have read all of Clay's fantasy novels, which are all good, but she really stepped up and out on this new steamy romance novel! It has a strong main character, Grace and a "I want what I want no matter what" sexy love interest, Reed.
Reed transfers Grace from the companies Texas office to his corporate office in Washington, to be his personal assistant. This is what Grace has always dreamed of, to work her way up the ladder of success with this company. How hard can it be to be his personal assistant ,right? She didn't realize how deeply attracted she would be to her flaming hot boss. But of course he infuriates her with his broody, demanding attitude. Will she be able to consider any kind of personal relationship with Reed without hindering the career she always wanted? I can't wait to find out in the second book.
If you enjoy a good steamy romance, then I suggest you give this one a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Terrible story
After reading this book (which has a cliffhanger ending) and the next one which very sloppily and raggedly ends the story, I have resolved to NEVER read anything more written by this author. Not only does this one end in a cliffhanger, the next and final one of this story ends with loose ends, unresolved issues and very unhappy situations. YUCK! This book and the next one were a horrible reading experience. Spare yourself and stay away from it. I read several hundred books a year and this will stick in my memory as the most unpleasant book(s) I ever saw.

M. C. Clay's first romance novel is to die for! It has everything that I enjoy in a steamy romance. It has a brooding, intriguing love interest, a strong female MC who is determined to make her own way, and the chemistry that sparks between them. You won't want to put this one down!

I’d never read a book from this author, and though the story has potential the way the author writes earns 2 stars. I felt she rushes the story, made me feel like I’m reading a novel from a novice. What captures my attention is the unfolding of a love story and with this author I didn’t feel it.
