I loved the chemistry between the characters. How they both struggled with their feelings but ultimately there love for each was stronger. You are going to love this

This was one of the best books I've read in a while

Oh my gosh, I have to say I love books that make me laugh and/or cry. This one had me laughing my foolish head off. Steven was such a control freak and polished but the bathroom scenes had me falling apart. Laura had trust issues but was super smart, highly dedicated and fun. They met their match when she became Steven's intern. The story wasn't all fun and games for me to laugh at but had intrigue and backstabbing creepy co-workers. I think we've all had creepy backstabbing co-workers but hopefully not to this level. Either way, I had a lot of fun with this book and hope you will too. Written by Cindy :)

I really struggled to finish this and only did so because it was an arc. It felt like it had been written by a confused teenager. Laura's personality swapped from confident business woman, older than other interns to an insecure airhead. Repeatedly the term trotted was used to describe Laura and also heifer, both felt like the author hated Laura. I understand she was financially struggling but to have a duct taped coat but spend $30 on Xmas decorations is absurd. The whole argument with Reed was so over the top that she would have been sacked.
The entire book felt like fan fiction from an inexperienced person

This is a quick holiday read with a ton of spice. It has a woman who worked really hard to get where she is and a man who will risk it all for her.

The only downside is the weight focus. I love a curvy girl story. But I don't enjoy every other sentence focusing and bringing it up. Especially when the main character is so self deprecating about their weight.

What a fun little read to start the Silly Season!

It was cheesy, full of tropes with fun diverse characters with strong personalities.

I loved it!

The first half of the novel is filled with character developments and backstory, whereas the second half of the novel is fun, fast, saucy, and passionate. The change of pace is definitely evident but characteristic of the classic romance. Passion overwhelms and consumes the characters (as well as the reader!) I couldn't put it down!

A full whirlwind romance wrapped up in tinsel. If you are looking for a quick steamy Christmas read to ease you into December, book in some Christmas time with the Boss.

This storyline is about two of the same type of people, finding each other and opening up new possibilities. Steve is the CFO of Wealth Asset and does not appreciate anyone who is not intelligent in the world of finance and does not put their all into their job. Steve finds his equal in Laura, his new intern, who seems much more in him than most people around him. The characters have great backstories and intense feelings. The storyline pulls them together amid the finance empire they live for and understand. Loved their chemistry and banter. The ending was terrific.

I DESIRE MORE

I actually read Secret Obsession first, but this one doe not disappoint either! The author has an amazing way of blending passion, comedic moments, real world problems, plot, sexual TENSION (in all caps, yall), and well crafted spicy scenes into these quick but powerful masterpieces. I can't wait for what's next. Now excuse me while I go cry tears of singletude and loneliness.

Loved it...

An alpha boss and a clever, strong and curvy heroine...what's not to love about that? Attraction can not be bought, as these two principal characters find out. A must read.

Favorite!

Ooohhh! This might be my favorite office-romance read ever! I loved how fierce and protective Laura was of her big, bad boss that everyone else was so scared of! And the fact that they were both finance nerds was great!

Okay what do you do when your boss is a sexy as all get out and that is the position Laura finds herself in working as an intern in the financial district her bosses reputation proceeds him and it isn’t such a great reputation rumor has it he is one of the toughest bosses to work for and if you don’t pull weight or work at his pace then you were out of there. Steven sexy as all get out billionaire with a work ethic like non other, doesn’t tolerate people at all let alone those who do not work at his pace which is sunup to sundown, sleep for a few hours if that and get back to it (a boss from beyond). But the moment he laid eyes on Laura he knew she was it for him she was beautiful, intelligent, and a thirst for learning everything but he has never mixed work with fun. The attraction is insane and neither of them can walk away but Laura also knows or feel it isn’t professional, but she can’t help herself and it isn’t helping that Steven can’t get her out us his mind, dreams and he isn’t one to sit on the sidelines he usually gets who/what he wants but will it lead to happiness?

Very immature characters with corny personalities paired with a juvenile, teenage-like writing style.

'Christmas with the Boss' by Jessie Jocelyne is the first book in her new series Wall Street Billionaires and is a standalone romance with no cliffhanger set during the Christmas holidays and tells the story of Laura Bloom, a new intern at Wealth Asset Group, and Steven Cox, CFO of Wealth Asset and her new boss. Laura was excited to be starting her new job in the financial district. She had worked hard at university and it had taken longer to get her degree because she also took care of her mother. Her father walked out on them when she was 14 years old and they went from a mansion to a basement apartment and it was a drastic change of life. Laura decided then and there not to rely on anyone but herself to make her way in life. And she was finally on that path. Working for one of the most brilliant minds on Wall Street, Steven Cox.

Steven was not called Hellhound without a reason. He went through his interns like used tissue. He had no patience for people that did not pull their weight or wasted his time. Steven couldn't wait to see what his newest intern was going to be like. When he saw Laura he knew he was in trouble because she was everything he liked in a woman plus she was intelligent. He didn't know how he was going to be able to control himself. He never mixes business with pleasure. He lasted until Christmas.

Ms. Jocelyne has written an engaging and dynamic Christmas romance with likable characters. The chemistry between Laura and Steven jumps off the page even as they try to downplay it. The story is emotional, with some angst, laughs, secrets, trust issues, passion, and plenty of steam. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes some Christmas with their romance.

for me

I loved the beginning of this book. I loved how excited Laura got about numbers and talking shop. This book does have a age gap which I don’t think it says anywhere but I’ve might have missed it or forget. The guy is in his fifties which did make me dislike the book slightly. I wasn’t really in the biggest mood for a big age gap (FMC is in her twenties) but it was good. Truthfully with their personalities and everything you kind of forget their ages. I dislike the 3rd act drama. It wasn’t bad but I think it was just slightly too over the top. If it was just a little less drama filled I would have liked it. Th first part of the book is better than the second. I like how the couple in the beginning was all about how they liked each other minds but after they had sex that was like all they did. We never really got to see them have more of the deep connection conversations or just normal conversations. It was always sex or how they want have sex. Like the second half just needed to show the connection they have. I wanted to continue seeing that. That took the most away from the book for me. I loved the guy and his immediate obsession was adorable. I will say the way they say I love you and then the way they toast on their anniversary was cringey. The toast was very very cringey for me. The beginning is a 4 for me but again the second half didn’t have enough of the mental connection for me. Like for me there was like no more so it brings the book down. Nonetheless I would recommend this book. It was good but does have some flaws. Steven is so cute. For me overall it’s a 3.75/5.

Jessie Jocelyne's Christmas with the Boss is a steamy holiday romance that checks all of the forbidden romance boxes: age-gap, office, boss-intern. Everyone in the office is terrified of CFO Steven. No intern has lasted more than a couple months working with him - until Laura. Having worked multiple jobs to put herself through school, Laura is intent to make something of herself and prove that she belongs in the male-dominated Wall Street world. She has no intention of allowing herself to be taken care of - she also doesn't believe that a man as wealthy and powerful as Steven could possibly be interested in her. But as Christmas rolls around, neither can deny their attraction any longer. But what happens when the scroog-y CFO falls for his brilliant, sassy, young intern? A fun, sizzling forbidden romance.

Laura is starting a new job as an intern and is excited about her job. However, everyone warns her about how her new boss is. Steven Cox is drawn to Laura from the moment he sees her, and it changes how he acts. Laura surprises him by knowing most of the reading material he has the new employees read. She is happy when he introduces her to a book she hasn't read. Sparks fly between them but neither acts on it. When others try to force her to do their work they are stunned when the boss steps in to stop it. Laura starts to fall even more for him when he starts walking her to her car after she's done with work. Will they both give into the temptation? Can they be together and work together?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Laura is Steven's new intern, and he has super low expectations for her based on his previous interns. She surprises him by being brilliant, eager, and cheerful about everything he throws her way. They're both extremely attracted to the other, but neither feel they can act on it.

What I liked:
-Laura is a bit older, 28, and has lived some life before she gets to Steven. She worked three jobs to support her sick mother and put herself through school. This internship is her dream job, and she is super excited to be there.
-This is the grumpy boss, grumpy/sunshine trope, and I am a big fan.

What I didn't like:
-The age difference is more than I would like - he's 50, she's 28.
-They used words like "boobs," "butt," and "jerkface," which seem sort of juvenile for the setting. And both of them use those words, not just her.

A Holiday Office Romance…
An intern/boss office romance that gives Laura the intern a chance to see a side of her brilliant boss, CFO Steven, that no one else does, being loving and funny. However not everyone is supportive but can they wade through the sticky parts together or will one need to leave? This was a fun read even if at times the writing was a little cringe worthy in spots. But I’m always open for an HEA, especially around the holidays.
I’m recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and holiday pleasure. PEACE.

Christmas with the Boss by Jessie Joceylne is a quick and steamy read about a New York City Intern and her grumpy but with her heart of gold boss. As a reader, you learn about each main character's motivation as the author switches from one perspective to the other. I found that extremely interesting because the reader understands their desires and needs . The reader goes on a journey as each character falls for each other, and it's a fun ride.

The focus on the weight issue of the intern might be a drawback for readers, but the Boss didn't have an issue with this.

This book is definitely worth the read.

I really enjoyed the banter between Steven and Laura and the relationship that they built.

The two bonus chapters on the end seemed misplaced on the end as they were extra bits from early days in their relationship, would have been better placed earlier in the book and the bonus chapters could have been about their lives in the future, I.e. more on Steven's new company, do they have children, does Laura meet her career goals?

However, this didn't detract from the storyline which I enjoyed.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Laura and Steven are fully focused on their careers until they meet each other. It is a case of two people being perfect for each other, but him being her boss complicates things. She is a curvy girl and just what he wants, but that is an issue at times. I admit that I enjoyed parts of the book and others I found myself skimming thru. 3.5

Christmas with the boss was a cute boss/intern story. Steven is the CFO of the company who has gone through more interns than anyone can count. None of them match up to his standards. That is until Laura shows up. She’s got brains to back up her beauty. The chemistry is there right off the bat. I loved watching Steven try and fail to break Laura. Their love seemed doomed by rules. But could they find a compromise so that they all got what they wanted? All in all it was a cute office romance with steam to back it up. Great Christmas story

I received this book as an ARC. I gave this book 3 starts because I liked the characters, but I just felt like the book was a little lacking. I feel like the story line was rushed as well as the characters. It wasn't a bad book, just didn't do it for me. There could have been more of an actual story line with the characters versus going from one thing to another extreme in the matter of only a couple days.
