If you love to curl up on a sleepless night and read about unexplained mysteries, then this is the series for you. Unlike the many others out there, this series is extremely well researched, written without bias, and quite frankly absolutely fascinating The story choices have not been stereotypical and they range hugely in subject, with anything from abandoned ships to strange, unsolved murders covered. A must read series for anyone interested in the things that go on in our world that we just can’t explain. 5 stars 🌟
Just wow. I am not a fan of paranormal fiction. I am not saying that it is non-existent, but it is so often ridiculously portrayed. I am a believer in Good and Evil. The story of the exorcism blew me away.
The cases covered in Volume 4 are interesting and indeed baffling. I don't see how people can disappear from a blimp or how a pilot is found so far from his aircraft or how a toddler can be found so far from home. Our existence is full of mysteries and leave us with unanswerable questions.
Perhaps these cases will never be explained. Or perhaps the right question has not been posed to the right person.
I think I have a fairly good grasp of this prolific author's books. I skip the serial killer tomes but have read everything else. I was waiting for the Black Dahlia to show up and she sure did in this book! Unfortunately, the chapters are only a few pages long and taught (most) of us nothing. I would love to read in a newer version about Jon Benet. Also, as I have been finishing up the "Unexplained" series, if I was the editor, this would be my conclusion. Rearrange the books by ship wrecks, plane wrecks, UFO's and lastly, missing people and unsolved murders. Now hire me. I have a lot of unwarranted opinions.
There are sixteen examples of events that simply cannot be explained in this book. Each is well written and full of obscure facts. My favorite stories were of a man who was beaten about the head and then became a mathematical prodigy and a tale of the exorcism of Satan from a boy in the 1920s. I was surprised to learn that this very story was the basis of Peter Blatty’s The Exorcist. This is juicy stuff and well worth your time.
That was cool, I like mysteries like this, not the most fantastic outrageous but strange, odd, never solved and not related to aliens, massive conspiracies or bigfoot. It's a shame we can't find an answer, maybe I will go out and look for answers
Definitely very baffling cases. This book will leave the reader wondering just what happened to these people, and I suppose we will never know. Definitely worth the read.
I have enjoyed all 4of these books and while I'm interested in such things lam a ghost believer keep us guessing sincerely christinedunne Harlingen Texas
Fun and creepy. Interesting storytelling. I enjoyed the style of how it was written. Several typos or punctuation errors but they were not so bad to be distracting.
